  1. After getting cc letter, the interview letter will arrive once they find an open slot at the embassy or consulate to schedule your interview. If NVC is issuing checklist, always call them to check because sometimes they send out false checklist. If the checklist is not false, then immediately send in your documents or if you don't, you'll have to wait for 2 weeks then they'll just try to schedule your case for an interview.

  2. Wow! Thank you! I haven't gotten my interview date yet but do you know approximately how long it takes to get one? I called now and they said my case was completed dec. 23 but that they send an email a week later telling you it's case complete. Happy New Year!

The interview will depend on when the South Korea embassy or consulate has an open spot and that they can put you in an open spot. So if your embassy or consulate does not have a lot of people applying for immigration then probably you'll get an interview soon.

  3. ohhh, good luck on your interview, how long before the interview date that they sent you appointment letter?

They sent me the interview letter on December 3rd just detailing what my step-mother and step-brother have to do and also the exact time and date of interview. They also list the documents received and what to bring to the interview. But I just go by the list according to the embassy's guide.

  4. If your case is put under supervisor review, it can take between 1 day to 2 months for your case to be completed. It really depends on who's your supervisor and whether the NVC has all your documents or not. I actually do not recommend supervisor review unless your wait time has passed 30 days or even 45 days since supervisor review varies for each case.

9 days after and I still haven't received any emails, what do they say in case complete email?

The wait time for the cc email varies. My cc email just said that my cases were completed and wait for an interview letter with details. That's all. Then later on, I called and learned about my interview date and then received the interview letter thereafter.

  6. Thank u all for your quick response, will processing of cases be slower this December, as I heard the people to assign case numbers have gone on holidays till January 4th and even if we keep calling, we might still never get a case number till January, pls how true is this?

Actually, NVC is working until the end of December but since it's during the holidays, there will be delays. No one really knows when you will get your case number since there will be delays during this time of the year. It's difficult to say. If anything was completed before the middle of November, it'll be processed quicker but if they just received yours, it'll take a while.

  7. Congratulations! What number to contact nvc? I want to give them a call to follow up if they have received my petition from uscis yet. It was sent dec 16.

    Thank you!

If your petition was sent to the USCIS on December 16th, NVC won't receive it until about 5 months later.

Hooray finally, after 5 months and 1 checklist for a paper we already submitted, I called NVC and they said our case is complete on Dec 14th (Scan date Oct 29th)

My petitioner's AOS fee status changed from Paid to N/A this morning but I haven't got their cc email yet.

Anyone know how long after cc that they send us email? And what's coming after this?

I received my cc email within 2 days after my case complete date.

  8. I got my case number 12/21 then as soon they gave a case number I fill up the form ds-261.

    my question is

    1. how can I pay for aos? I can't click the fee it's unlock or I have to wait for their email that said pay aos?

    2. can I fill up the form affidavit of support even if I didn't paid yet? is the barcode will print even if your not paid yet it will still the same?

You pay for AOS online or send in a check or money order. You have to wait for the invoice giving you directions on how to pay for the AOS fee. You need the invoice number along with the case number to log on. You can fill the affidavit of support form right now. The barcode is on the affidavit of support form and it will print out because it's solely for the form.

  9. no agent or attorney selected (completed)

affidavit of support fee (N/a, paid in May) Affidavit of support Documents (N/a send that in May)

iv fee (Paid) IV Application ( completed) civil documents (n/a) all the paper work was email in at end of June or beginning of July) nothing has change on the ceas webpage for about 5 month.

At this point, either you should keep calling to ask the same questions to several different representatives and see if they have the same responses for you or not or you can put your case on supervisor review.

  10. Have you check the ceac webpage to see if three N/A's appeared or if it said your status is in Transit or anything to see if there's any new updates to your case? If your case is on supervisor review, you'll have to wait between the day your case is put on supervisor review to about 2 months.

When my cases were completed, I saw three N/A's on the screen. This of course doesn't happen to everyone but for me, it means that my case is completed.

  11. Then I say that you keep checking the CEAC status webpage and keep calling. Also, it can depends on your embassy / consulate. Depending on their workload, your cases could be scheduled earlier or so but sometimes you never know, all the officers take their time so yeah. And this time of the year is the holidays too so there'll be more delays.

My two cases got completed within the right amount of time but I had two checklists so it took a while but my two checklists were approved within 20 days. Then when I found out about my case completed, I received P4 letter within two weeks and it had the interview date and time. My step-mother and step-brother had a good amount of time to get their medical examination and vaccination. They're getting their results this weekend after two weeks wait. So I'd say that I got lucky.
