  1. You now have to wait for I-130 approval notice and a notice that your case is transferred to the NVC. Then it will take approximately 6 months to a year depending on their workload to get your interviews. If your visa category is not for a spouse, parent, child under 21 or fiance, then it will take longer for you to get an interview since you'll have to wait several years.

  2. I filled the I-130 form for my son.they gave a receipt number. And I checked. case was received. My son will be 21 one months later. how long I wait?

You should have filed earlier. At this point, since he'll be turning 21 in one month. You should contact USCIS and NVC as soon as possible to let them know and see if they can expedite the case. If not, once he turns 21, he'll have to wait for several years.

  3. So my step-brother's immigration status is case complete. However, my step-mother is still on review. The representative told me that my step-brother's case is on hold waiting for a case complete from my step-mother's case. Then they both will be scheduled for an interview appointment on the same day. The 30 days review for checklist ends on Friday, November 13th. So I am hoping that Friday the 13 will give me some good news this year :).

  4. I am filling out the DS 260 forms for my step-mother and step-brother.

My step-mother is the beneficiary. Her address in Vietnam contains a "/" (slash) but the DS 260 does not allow me to enter the symbol. How should I replace the symbol?

If there an information that I don't know, do I just enter N/A or none?

If my step-mother has two children aside from my step-brother who will immigrate at the same time with her. Do I need to enter her two other children's information? Since I am her step-child, do I need to enter my information as well?

Thank you very much for your help!

  6. I have a joint sponsor to help sponsor my step-mother and step-brother. I have all of his documents however I notice that he only had the tax returns for 2014 and 2013 and no 2012. But he did attached his last 4 recent pay stubs from his employer. Will this be enough for the National Visa Center or does he need to get his tax return for 2012?

  7. hi

leave that part blank for the other numbers

I don't know if they will have the same interview date or not, the priority date doesn't matter since they are immediate family

Thank you. I'm also done with the IV Application except one question. Under the Security and Background: Medical and Health Information, question 2:

"Do you have documentation to establish that you have received vaccinations in accordance with U.S. law?"

Yes or No (If No, explain)

How should I answer this question?

Currently, my step-mother and step-brother have no documentation to prove that. However, if their case do get completed and they receive an interview appointment letter, they will go ahead to get vaccinations. By the time, they are at the interview, they will have all the documentation with them.

  8. hi

no for stepmom, he counts your stepbrother as child, stepchildren and children are the same for immigration purposes as he will be his dependent

so he will put 2 on children, the total is always 4

    stepbrother's Is correct

Thank you very much for your help.

According to the visajourney wiki, it says "Although the I-864 instructions say if the answer is none or N/A, then to leave it blank, do NOT do this." Should I write in "none" or "N/A" in the blank spaces or just leave them blank according to the NVC's I-864 instructions?

My step-mother and step-brother have two different priority dates, will this affect their interview time? I mean, will they be able to get the same time or will they have their own interview time? Will this affect the time they get the visa?

:dancing: :joy:I'm done with everything except paying for the IV. I got the invoice and the fees do not appear online. :(
