Just wanted to come to update on the interview. 
 

Husband had his interview on Monday afternoon in Phoenix, AZ.  Everything was quick and officer only asked for green card and returned it back so that he takes it to the oath ceremony. We are still waiting for letter in the mail and to see the copy in the documents tab online. Husband said they went through the application and was done after  the 6 questions were answered correctly.  He also had the reading and writing exam. All the same format as most interviews go. Phoenix does have same day oath ceremony depending on the time in interview. He didn’t make it for the last one of the day which was around 2. But if you have a morning and pass the exam, there’s a chance you will have same day oath.  He updated his address there with the officer since we sold our house and bought another. He said she was very nice. 
 

Questions asked (this is a brief summary since he doesn’t remember too well as it went by fast):

1. If president and Vice President cannot serve, who?
2. Stars meaning on the flag?
3. First three words of constitution?
4. Ocean on west coast?
5. North and south war called?
6. Commander in chief? 

Other questions:

-Are any parents citizens ?

-Asked about any trips in the last 180 days. There are none. 

Reading: The flag is white (not sure on exact statement read.)

Writing: The White House is in Washington DC.

Our case updated just a few hours ago and the interview was scheduled. The documents tab still doesn’t show a copy yet so I’ll be checking even more so the next few days for the date. Husband is nervous but started studying a week ago so we are glad to be at the home stretch.

We did receive our biometric reuse notice dated 12/10. The estimated completion date still showed Oct 2021 up until today. Hopefully that means you will hear soon about the biometrics. 🤞

So husband has not received interview yet. We did notice the estimated wait time did update which it had not since we first applied in September. Our filing date is September 18,2020 and the estimated completion time frame had been OCT 2021 since we applied, but it just changed to JULY 2021. I know the estimated times vary and are not always something to rely on but I hope this means good news soon. 😊 our local office is Phoenix. 

We just noticed husband’s biometric reuse letter dated 12/10/2020. Our field office is Phoenix AZ.  We filed 09/18/2020. We never received any email notification. Someone else from October filers group updated timeline and it was similars to ours so that is why we checked.

Hello. I have a question about the status online after submitting n400. Husband’s NOA is 9/18 and the status said it was sent to National Benefit Center. Do all online apps go there first prior to field office?  My parents also recently filed their apps and it says the same thing. Our field office is Phoenix. Do they all go to NBC first?

You chose the 5 year category. Your 5 year category is a week away, meaning that its window has not yet opened. So why would you knowingly camp outside a house when you clearly know that the code to open the door is a week away from being active ???

 

However, 3 year mark has long been open. So you have 2 options:

 

1. Be patient and wait for atleast1.5 weeks, then file under 5 year category or

2. If you really wanna file right now, then go with the 3 year category as it's open.

We are going to wait. I’m just wondering why there are many forums saying we can apply 90 days preceding the date of eligibility if it will not let applicants online. 

Okay, so does the 90 day prior to 5 year rule apply to online application?

We didn't get around to filing n400 at the 3 yr mark and are now a week away from being able to apply under the 5 year rule. I selected 5 yr rule option while filling out questions but then when I put the date of LPR it said he was ineligible but it will let me under 3 year rule. Is the 90 days only applicable filing via mail? I mean we can wait to submit app another week but wanted to get everything filed online today. 

Hey all! I just noticed the case tracker app is not updating all loans. We have had the ‘new card is being produced’ and ‘case approved updates’ via the https://myaccount.uscis.dhs.gov/. The USCIS page has not changed my status yet and the case tracker app has not updated my status either. There may be more approvals than what the tracker states. 

Good morning! We just received our update email too! CSC filer WAC17334xxxxx. Priority date August 28, 2017. Our update states the new card is being produced. We have not filed for n400 yet but definitely will soon! 😊

my husband’s file date is 08/28 and CSC! I am hoping we are close too! 

We received the extension letter too! Just in time since we had infopass appt scheduled for tomorrow. Our new extension letter is dated from August 11 but we were traveling the last week and just got in today so it must have come in some time last week. Thank goodness. Now we’ll continue to wait as usual but this is a huge relief.

Thank you! I imagined that would be the case. I’m thankful the Mexican consulate is 20 mins away from us here in Phoenix! We will have to go very soon.

My husband’s Mexican passport is now expired and it is the one that has the US visa page with the first 1551 stamp from when he was approved almost 3 years ago. We have not received any mail with a new 18 month extension letter . 

Does he now have to renew his Mexican passport before he goes to get the 1551 stamp for additional one year extension?

I-751: August 2017 Filers

My husband has the NOA with date of 08/28/2017.  

The check cleared our account on 09/06/2017. 

We sent packet on 08/24/2017. 

Now waiting for biometric appt letter. 

case completed april 28 and interview given over phone on august 24th. about 4 months for interview. usually between 3-4months wait

once your status changes to ready in CEAC then you'll be able to register fir the ASC appointment and choose the delivery location for the packet. I was able to schedule on Thursday afternoon after my status changed to ready. I felt it safer than sending an email since I wanted to make sure I set the DHL location too

but if you already sent the email I would wait for their reply before having issues trying to register just as the notification warns about. 4

Anyone from Mexico who got an interview for September, have you received your confirmation email?

Quick question, for the interview in Mexico does the applicant need a biometrics appointment before the interview or is that done at the time of the interview?

We scheduled appointment for medical but just wondering on the fingerprints. Thanks!

dgallegos, when they told you about your interview date did they provide any other info? or did they just tell you the date?

The rep only said date and time and to look for an email soon. I'll update as soon as I get the email. Also, the rep was about to read the same script from before that the interview was still waiting on embassy. I swear these reps were almost the death of me this summer.

Has the status changed on ceac website yet???

thanks so much! it has not changed but we are going to get going with scheduling the medical. My cousin works at one of the medical centers and says just to walk in but i rather be safe than sorry.
