Is there any way to reach the consulate in guangzhou to inquire/request about transfering an approved petition to manila?
We did send inquiry on their web mail feature and my usc fiance clicked petitioner when asked how is he related to the beneficiary. He received reply telling him that they can not verify his email address and they can only send information to the petitioner/principal applicant/lawyer or congressional officer... But my fiance clearly stated there that he is the petitioner. We already sent emails and fax to the embassy in manila but no reply yet.
What should we do? I tried calling them in guangzhou but was told to use the web mail too and then she connected me to a number for the instructions but i dont understand what they were saying coz they were talking so fast! ?

Thats a good news! Goodluck on the interview!

We are trying to change address of beneficiary too as well as the consulate.... Called nvc and was told that very day that they just received our case..told them abt request to transfer and was told to send email with eligibility proof but emails will be read/attended in the manner they were sent. If they read our email requesting the transfer before they send our case to the listed consulated then they can possibly change it, but if they wont be able to read our email and case is already sent to the embassy then better email fhe embassy to do the transfer... I wonder why they cant put the case on question on hold to address the issue then forward it to proper consulate after the necessary corrections since it was already brought to their attention that we wanted it transferred to another consulate.

Ohhh well so we got our case # two days ago frm nvc and since we wanted said file/case be moved to another embassy/consulate, we were closedly monitoring any progress through the visa tracker at ceac, but to our dismay when usc fiance tried to call nvc hoping they can still do something while case is still AT NVC status, he was asked for my birthday and he gave them the date but was told that it is INCORRECT! How can that be incorrect???? My fiance asked who did the mistake, uscis or them at nvc and they said could either be one of them.... So they said we need to send a copy of my passport to correct it!
Anyone experiencing the same????

Start emailing manila embassy now..requesting your files to be transferred from china to manila. .since you got your case number now..
Even if the file is not physically in china yet? Well since the status said still at NVC we are kinda hoping they will read our email of request transfer prior to sending... Just wishful thinking though?

Ok got it! Thanks... At least we know what to expect with ours later... Pls keep us updated!

Ohhh ok.. So now when u trace it u will just replace MNL with ADB right?
In ceac website..you can see it.they will just add mnl on it like what I've written earlier
Oh i see... So if u want to trace its whereabouts now, u will just replace MNL with ADB , is that it?
-
Once you have the case number you can log on in ceac status website where you can see all the progress of your visa application..you dont have case number yet right?wait nvc to complete it..I will suggest call nvc after 2 weeks after the approval from uscis..[/quot
We got the case number already thats how we found out that it is going to china despite the effort of emailing nvc of the new address/transfer... I mean who put the ADB on yours? Coz it was mNL before right?
-
It's written like this MNLXXXXXXXX ABD
Yeah hank told me almost 2 months,in abu dhabi they said 6-8 weeks..atleast they just completed it in 6 weeks like hank told me ?
How did u know that the case number has changed? Did the consulate in manila change it? I wonder how long it will take to transfer from guangzhou china to manila?
-
My case number is still the same however they add ABD on it,yeah and im so thankful ?
Ohhh so they just probably change the three letters representing the new location.... Yeah lucky you, the wait didnt take that long...for ours, well its still at nvc so we'll probably start emailing the concern consulate soon as our status goes to in transit at least.. I saw it took time for them to read emails so i hope its good to send request ahead
-
I just checked my ceac status maybe 15 minutes now..finally after 1 month and 2 weeks, from transfer in progress and now updated in ready..they got already my case file from manila. .thanks GOD ?
Thats a good news! Did they give u a new case number?

This is a problem for many others. Some CO's are lenient when it comes to China. They know the hoops you have to jump through. Having said that, It is only my opinion that you should try the following. Document every effort in writing where available and have it for the interview.
1. Ask your student go to the police station in person and ask your question. When turned down, ask for a document declaring exactly what they said.
2. Go to the China Embassy there in Manila and inquire about getting the police clearance explaining your difficulty in getting one because you have been told you need to appear in person, at this time you do not have a visa that will allow you to return to china.
3. How about the employer that hired you for your position in China. A lot of the times they can help. Again, document your request to the employer and their response. Keep in mind sometimes if you write, they will need to respond with a return answer and now you have your document. Email works to.
4. Copies of emails, telephone logs, lists of whom you contacted and their response.... As well as (limited) proof of your residence (e.g. copies of your visas, any local IDs, addresses for residence and employer... etc. would come in handy with the interview.
5. Are there any agencies that do this type of work for China that can help. I think you mentioned one.
This is about all I have now. Good luck.
PS. Please return and let us know the outcome of the path you chose so others can learn from your experience. Thanks.
I have tried contacting the embassy of china and was told i need to go get it myself too, or if i can ask someone to do it for me back there in china.... Other cases may allow someone else to do it in my behalf but obviously, not where i worked... Coz it is just a small county and i was the only foreigner that time... Unfortunately, my student also told me the school where i taught is no Longer operating. Its already closed!
Yes, i will try to reconsider the services of an agency. I just need my student to validate it for me if they are legit.
Will post updates from time to time.
Thanks!

Ok so i was able to contact one of my students and asked him to search for the police station's number of the county where i taught... He called the police station and he was told i need to be there to get the police certificate myself and they wont give it to anyone else. Do i really have to go there or can i at least, present this effort i made to the embassy?

I don't think if nvc has something to do with it..Because k1 doesn't stay longer in nvc..but don't lose hope..waiting is the hardest thing, but its always worth the wait ? Goodluck
I know :-( Thanks again!

Just contact manila embassy requesting your files to be transferred from china to manila..it really causing delays,be patient. .mine from manila to abu dhabi, I requested june 14,I got reply june 16,manila embassy send my files on july 1,and until now I am still waiting for them to physically received my files.goodluck ?
Thanks a lot for the info! We'll keep calling nvc too hoping they were able to do something since no case # has been assigned yet... Then if it does got sent to china , then the waiting never ends i guess...

Their web page states:
2) Our service covers whole China, so wherever city you lived before in China (For example: Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, FuJian, ShanDong, Tianjin, Chengdu, Jiling, YinChuan, Qingdao etc.), Any Chinese cities we all can help!
I would suggest that you make another call, maybe the person you talked to did not have all the information necessary to answer your question properly.
Thanks... Will check on that again!

Hi.... We are also having a problem on the changed of address for the beneficiary and eventually, changing of interview location(embassy/consulate)...
Our file as of today is at the NVC, they acknowledged the fact that our file has arrived at the nvc but no case number yet and have not really looked and checked if the address was changed from china to philippines... We sent emails, mail and made calls to change it while it was still at uscis but no action taken.
I was working in china when my USC petitioner filed the case so i used my address there before...unfortunately, said petition took so long to be approved(petition was filed last 2008). On 2010, my contract ended and my school couldnt renew my visa anymore so i had to returned home(philippines)... So we need to change previous address in china to my home country philippines...
USC petitioner called nvc today but they said they can't do anything until they read our email of change address and consulate request.which they said may not happen....
What's the best thing to do???
Thanks...

My fiancé now my wife obtained her China Police Clearance using Visainchina.com and it works. It's your call if you want to use their service. As far as I can remember she have a direct contact with "Magic" Goodluck
Thanks for the info.... Yeah, i have contacted that agency but they said they only do beijing...i dont need one from beijing coz i didnt stay in beijing for work....
-
I suggest you contact the embassy and explain the situation, there may be a known issue getting police certificates from China.
U mean the US embassy here in manila right? Yes, will do that as i have tried every effort that i know....thanks a lot!
-
try to visit the china embassy here in manila and ask for help.Because i went to MECO to apply for my Taiwan police clearance and after a month i got it..hope it can help
Thanks..... I already did. They said i have to personally go and get it back in china or ask someone to do it for me there. But my contact is not responding. And even if i'll go i doubt if i can get one coz i had a hard time securing one while i was personally there back in 2010... The people in that county where i taught barely know english at all.... My assistant who always interpret for me no longer live in that area
-
Thanks hank and yes i have read that one already.... The thing is, when i was there in china(2010) i tried to ask for a police certificate as i knew i will be needing one...but the school told me that they went to inquire at the police abt that and they were told they never issued one so they dont know what that is... What the school did was just draft a certification that i did nt commit any crime while there, with all the impt details about me and have it stamped with the school and police stamp... It was chinese and my assistant just did the translation... And was never notarized too..the place was 3 hours away from beijing and i was the only foreigner there during that time. But that was 2010... I tried emailing said assistant but she is not responding and i dont know anyone from there anymore... I tried contacting someone from beijing(an agency) but they said they only do beijing shanghai and guangzhou(big cities)
-
Anyone here who have stayed in china( particularly cities outside beijing shanghai or guangzhou) who were able to succesfully secure a police clearance?
I sent message to the chinese consulate here in the phils but they said i can either go there or ask someone from there to get one for me... Wouldnt be a problem if its in the major cities like beijing but other non-urbanized cities dont even know what that is all about :-(
Is there any other way to prove to the consulate the hardship of acquiring one?
Transfering K1 from guangzhou to manila
