  1. Situation: I entered on a k1 visa, married within the 90 days requirement..submitted my AOS/EAD/AP thru marriage last march 8..done with biometrics last week...

Question: is it ok to travel or visit other state to see family while AOS is pending? My I-94 expired march 4.. which mean I applied for AOS four days after expiration of I-94. Will that be a problem? Will be travelling alone as husband can't take off from work.

    Thanks!!!

  2. I am hoping to send my AOS today but better be sure...I tried browsing for same questions but hope you don't mind if one or two of my questions have been answered....

q1: for the G325A, do I only need to send 1 copy from me (applicant) and the USC spouse (sponsor)?

q2: on the I765, which category should I put? I came on a k1 and married within the 90 days requirement and sending in EAD and AP with the AOS...©(9) or (a)(6) ?

q3: does the I864 need to be notarized?

q4: I am taking risk in sending in the vaccination record without transcription of a CS, will it be a problem ?

q5: in filling out I485, do wee need to maintain what we filled out on the DS160 before? like for example other name used? or the maiden name if the "other name used" now since I am already married to my then fiancé?

also,if I wrote an organization , should I do the same?

lastly, on the question have u ever been arrested, cited, charged....I had a dismissed case before that I disclosed(DS160), should I also do the same with the I485?

q6: is a personal check ok for the payment?

    thank you very much!

  3. Thank you!

Can I know what they typically ask on the one on one interview based on your experience? :)

Its basically what you will write on the form too..and about you and your foreign husband/fiance..
  4. HI,

To the users here who are from the Philippines

I would like to ask where is the CFO manila office located and how to get there? I know it is in manila, and I am aware that I can take LRT1 station then just get off at Quirino avenue station. From Quirino station, how to get to the cfo office?

Also, I would like to know if the guidance counseling form will be given on the day of the seminar or I have to print out an application? I only have the appointment confirmation. And what office in manila will the spouse seminar be held? I researched that the k1 seminar have different location which is in Taft in front of DLSU. Is the spouse seminar at the main CFO office?

    Thank you!

Hi... I read somewhere here that from quirino station, u can take a taxi. U will be given a form to fill out there. When i went to have the seminar, K1 and spouse were held there at the same office, according to which country you are going.

  5. Hi Piaoliang2008, did you hear anything from USEM already? My fiancee is on the same boat and been waiting a month since the inteview and still shows in Admin Processing (they received the NBI with AKA 2 weeks ago). Thanks in advance.

Hi... I am already here in the US.

After two weeks of waiting for the nbi letter to the embassy, i called the embassy and was told to jst wait for instruction as they already received such letter from nbi. I was not sent to nbi for another interview but it still took me almost a month delay... Status was from ready(2wks) to ap (3 days) issued(jst couple of hrs)....

  6. Thankzzz... I am

Making arrangement to have the sticker on my passport at the airport as i am in the province right now and my flight will be in a saturday... I called last week but was told to call back three days before my flight ao i will call again today..

  7. Thankssss...

Another question pls... I understand i dont have to open the yellow envelope, i just cut enough slit to take my passport out, i noticed there are some papers including the reminder, what are these papers? Do i need them somewhere sometime? Coz i really am scared of opening even the plastic lol

  8. Finally got my visa!

I just have a few questions though....

When i register online for the medical (i am not sure if it was asked also from ds160, cant remember) i was asked to write the port of entry and i put the state where my fiance is... Will it be a problem entering to another airport/poe instead? Coz originally, we plan to meet there for him to meet my parents but unfortunately my fiance's vacation schedule from work was not what he thought it is so he can't come there anymore. I booked my ticket already and i am

Just a little worried that i am entering to where my relatives are instead of where my fiance is. I will be travelling to be finally with him after 4 days of seeing my family as i have not seen my mom

For a decade already and he understands that so he said we will just stick to the original plan of me flying to meet my family first before flying to him....

    Thanks......

  9. Anyways, i check the status of my case at the CEAC website. And honestly, i feel your pain for having to go through this lengthy process. We waited for 6 years too, everything is a case to case basis and for

Most cases that i have read, PATIENCE is really vital. For most applicants waiting to get through this "explanation letter" stage, the waiting could take from a month to a year. Why? I really dont know and i also dont understand. I feel

Like the waiting never ends too... But we waited for 6 long years already(will post another topic abt this later) so we are thinking a month more of waiting is less stressful lol....

  10. Hi johnster:

I am on a k1 petition... I had no problem getting an nbi clearance. It is what u need to present at the interview, an nbi clearance.... However, if you're nbi clearance have this "no criminal record" remarks then that is only when they require the nbi explanation. Unfortunately, that will only take place AFTER the interview at the manila embassy... Would be nice if right after the interview, the embassy can give the "request letter" so you can bring it right away to the nbi but that's not how it works here at the manila embassy. From my understanding, all applicants's names with the remarks "no

Criminal record" on their nbi for the whole week will be forwarded to the nbi every friday for verification. Nbi then will verify each name that the embassy wanted to be verified to see why they have remarks such "no criminal record" on their clearance and forward said list to the embassy the next friday. Others may just have a namesake means they have the same middle name and/or last name with someone that has a record or they themselves have a case that was filed against them that was dismissed(like in my case). So nbi will clear that to embassy, if the embassy is satisfied with that then they're good to

Go. But if the embassy is not satisfied, that is when they send the applicant the letter of request to bring to the nbi for interview. It is like some sort of verifying your record to clear your name. Coz nbi will

Not forward any recommendation or explanation without said request coming from the embassy.after your interview at the nbi, nbi then will send the embassy the letter of explanation. Nbi will

Probably explain that they have interviewed the applicant and found

    Out that blah and

Blah...so the embassy will be basing from that explanation to go on with the processing of your application.

  11. Well my dad went to NBI and he showed the printed email that i got from USEM ( i received it the day of their interview, its an instruction and it stated they want a letter of explanation directly from NBI) but the NBI told my dad that i have to wait for an email from USEM (again???) that they are requesting a letter of explanation so we have no choice but to wait for the USEM to either contact the NBI or to email me again which never happened.

I keep messaging the USEM but no reply so we were kinda hopeless and all we can do is to wait until i checked the status last thursday and it says ISSUED.

Its been three weeks for me but status been ReaDY since nov5....it has come to my understanding now that maybe not all with the "no criminal record" remarks will have to go through nbi interview, maybe it all depends on the recommendation of nbi basing on what they see from their record when they verify ur name... Been waiting for the request letter but the last time i called they said there is no recommendation yet to send me one but was told earlier that the letter from nbi got there nov3

  12. hi guys, just want to update.. last thursday i checked the status of my parents and the status changed to ISSUED. i checked it that morning but it was AP then i checked again at 5:30pm and it was ISSUED. I was surprised and so happy, never thought it took us only 1 month for this NBI to be processed.

Glad to hear they didnt wait too long...Were they ever sent a letter request from the embassy at all? Did they go to nbi for the interview?
