Case Was Transferred And A New Office Has Jurisdiction

On July 6, 2018, we transferred your Form I-751, Petition to Remove Conditions on Residence, Receipt Number, to another USCIS office. That office now has jurisdiction over your case. We sent you a notice that explains why we moved your case. Please follow the instructions in the notice. If you do not receive your notice by August 5, 2018, please go to www.uscis.gov/e-request to request a copy of the notice. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.

Yep we just got the same message too. No other information was provided, not even which office it was sent to.

  2. Hi Everyone,

So our family members are pressuring us, saying that it's taking too long for the I-751 to be processed. One of my hubby's family members got approved in 8 months. Weird.

I guess some people are just lucky and get approved faster than others, like that story above.

We're just like the majority and still waiting in line. God willing the wait will be over soon.

No you’re confusing the 90 window with the time we can file the request to remove conditions and how we got a 1 year extension while processing the case.

My husband couldn’t schedule the appointment until 30 days of his extension expiring. They then stamped his passport to extend the extension but it’s only for 6 months at a time which is October.

If he isn’t approved by September he will have to make another appointment for another extension. Our hope is we can speed things up with the N400 simultaneously being filed now.

We got an update this morning on the N400 that they received and will review and to expect another biometrics appt in about a month. They also estimated completion of the N400 case to be April 2019

Good point. Do you know if a state ID or drivers license can be renewed with that stamp?

  4. This is such a tragic situation. It really saddens me. I truly hope you will reconsider and stay with your wife. Now that you're in America, you know there are options here. Many people choose to not have kids, or adopt or have foster children. God's blessings come in many different ways. I pray you guys do have kids as the doctors haven't ruled it out completely yet.

As far as the ROC divorce waiver, I agree with the PP, you'd have to be divorce before getting it. Wait till it is finalized.

    Good luck and God bless.

You wrote ostensibly looking for advice, EVERYONE told you to try and move on as the best course of action, yet you rebut every post and say we do not understand your hurt. I agree this is not the WWF but you continue to seek agreement that you should be bitter and seek revenge, if that is truly your choice, do it, hold on to the anger, destroy your inner peace, make fruitless efforts to punish him. It is your life, do as you please, but do not insult people trying to provide you guidance.

    anyways....

I hope the OP Got the advice she was looking for.

  6. I'm sincerely sorry this happened to you. I try to put myself in your situation and I'd certainly want some guidance on this too. I suggest taking some time out for yourself. Do something nice for yourself. Get in a state of mind where you're caring about your own well being and not necessarily seeking revenge.

Then call a lawyer. Either Family Law or Immigration, but preferably Family Law. The tough part here, as you can see with the posts, is that you will find some people with sympathize with you whereas others will sympathize with your spouse/ex. You need someone who is going to look out for your interests. That's what lawyers are paid to do.

You have rights and you deserve to be made whole due to his Fraud or perhaps Negligence in the marriage. Lawyer-up. Please. That's what I'd do.

I truly hope you'll be able to get past the heartache. It takes time, but you will be happy again, and I hope that it will be someone who deserves you.

i want to ask if anybody can help me with this... my son and i came here to the US on the same date with CR1 and CR2 visa,  both of our GC expiration are the same.. it says on I-751 that i can put him on Part 5 as my dependent,, so thats what i did.. we also pay biometric for him (his 8 years old).. it just makes me confused because when i recieve my NOA1 the reciept notice they just put my name on it not mentioning my sons name and says my green card is extended for one year... it makes me so worried because i didnt know if my sons GC also included to the NOA1 they sent me..

Sent my wife's packed in the Friday before Easter. Was received Monday the 17th. She got the NOA on May 5 and just received Biometric interview schedueld for May 26. Question though - we put my moms address for mailing address as we are in the process of moving to a new condo in the Chicago area. We put current address for physical address and all evidence lists our current Chicago address. Biometrics was scheduled in Grand Rapids, Michigan as mom lives in SW Michigan. Can the wife just walk in early to the Chicago office with her letter? Or are we stuck having to make the trek back to Michigan? Why would they schedule based on mailing address and not physical address? You'd think they would schedule based on physical address.

Very good questions. Hopefully the admins will have an answer. I'm curious to know too.

    I finally received my NOA

    NOA dated 5/10/2017 (!)

    Receipt date 4/11/2017 (!)

    Filed in Vermont on 4/8/2017

My card expired on 5/7 but since I got the notice dated 5/10 extending my status for 1 year I assume it does not matter. Now waiting for biometrics, hope it does not take another month :(

Congrats G&V K. At least you now know that your case is in queue. The waiting game begins.

got my NOA 1 last Friday 5/5 - check cashed a few days before then

Also was chatting with immigration coming back from a vacation abroad and they said the i751s are really backed up now and to expect it to take over a year

To be honest, i'm not at all surprised. When we were filing the I-130, the processing times got longer than they'd been a few months earlier. It was due to the volume of of applications sent. So it makes sense now that all those people are filing the I-I-751 and with the supposed hiring freeze that only makes it worse.

Doing things the right way always takes longer but it's worth it.

Fellow April filer (mailed April 29th). I feel anxious now reading how much evidence people sent, all I sent was rental agreement in both our names, health insurance card in both our names and car loan in both names. How long after mailing did you guys hear anything?

Those are all very good items to send. They prove you both currently live at the same address and have co-mingled finances/financial liability.

Secondary evidence might have also helped to show proof of an ongoing relationship such as photos/receipts from a vacation, bank statements for the last 2 or 3 years, a few EOBs from your insurance. There is a really good list pinned at the top of the topic listing here on VJ.

I hope none of that is needed in your case and that everything will be fine.

  11. Hi Everyone-

We just sent our package yesterday to CSC. It was about 1.5 lbs. Cost $25 for 2nd day delivery.

By reading some of the posts here, it seems like we won't get an NOA1 or check cashed for about a week.

I hope everyone is doing well, good luck, prayers for all!

    Our Package Included:

    751 signed, payment

    2015 and 16 tax transcripts

    Bank statements spanning 2 years

Vehicle title copy - owned by both of us

DL copy for each of us and GC Copy

    Birth Cert for our baby

    50 photos spanning 2 years

    Beneficiary Designation copy

Health Insurance proof and medical/dental bills

    Lease copy, rent check copies

    Mortgage statements

    summary of address changes

God willing that's all they need. I did not include the marriage cert because they already have a copy from our I-130 app package.
