  1. I just want to update everyone. My wife received her green card on 11/21/15. I called USCIS today to clarify everything. After talking to a second level operator, who is a USCIS Officer, she claimed that the I-797C Notice of Action to appear for an interview was erroneously sent to us. She confirmed to us that our case has been approved and that we don't need to appear for interview on 12/08/15. Thanks everyone!

  2. Have you guys ever experienced what me and my wife are experiencing now?

My wife came to the US with a K1 visa. We got married in February 2015 and also applied for AOS, EAD, and AP. She received her EAD and AP in May, then received a letter from the mail in June that her AOS application will be delayed til December 2015. On November 4, 2015, I received a text message stating that her AOS application has been updated and upon checking online, it showed that we were scheduled for interview. A couple of days after that, we received an I-797C, Notice of Action letter from the mail stating that we have to appear for initial interview on December 8, 2015 with supporting documents of marriage as well as the previous documents that they sent us. Today (November 16, 2015), I received a text message from USCIS that our AOS application has been updated. When I checked online, it shows that:

"My New Card Is Being Produced - On November 13,2015, we ordered your new card for Receipt Number MSC----------, and will mail it to the address you gave us. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address."

Does this mean that my wife's green card is in process and that we'll be getting it soon? Do we still have to appear to the scheduled interview as written on the I-797C?

    Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

  3. Hello! My wife and I are planning a trip overseas. She entered the US with a K1 visa, we got married, then applied for an AOS, along with EAD and AP. I received a text message confirming that USCIS received my application for AOS/EAD/AP on February 26, 2015. Now here are my questions:

    - If we plan a trip on May 14, 2015, will that give us enough time for her to receive her EAD and AP before leaving the US?

    - If the EAD and AP does not arrive before we leave the US, can she still return to the US after leaving the country if she already had her biometrics taken? I will just ask someone to personally meet us overseas to hand her EAD/AP.

    Thanks in advance!

  4. I heard they are starting to look through July files but even once they touch it the process can take a week or so! Good luck everyone :-)

Are you referring to the July files from TSC or CSC? Where did you get that information? How can you tell if your application has been 'touched'? I apologize in advance for bombarding you with questions, I just want to make the most out of my post :)

    And yes, goodluck to everyone!

  5. Hopefully, we'll start seeing some NOA-2s from CSC, beneficiaries from the Phillipines not included. The date has progressed to July 3 on the Processing Times page.

My estimate sits at Sept. 15-24.

I'm petitioning my fiancee who's in the Philippines but i'm still waiting for my NOA2 as well. My timeline is similar to most of the guys in this thread. My timeline has moved twice already... from mid August to late August, then from late August to mid September.

I don't think applications coming from the Philippines aren't being expedited anymore.

  6. I got NOA1 on July 18th ....I don't have ARN yet... Not that it will give me a lot of info but every time I check the website and see nothing I think my application is under someone's cup of coffee at some desk or accidentally fell in a trash can hahaha my fiancee tells me I am being so Psycho about it hahaha

Haha! I was like that too before. I guess we just have to be patient :)

  7. Please be sure to change your service center to CSC (Chicago goes to CSC) in your timeline. The notice (email) should have mentioned it was forwarded to CSC for processing and you were assigned a receipt number that begins with WAC. This is not a transfer. I mention this because so many people think they are being processed at the TSC because they sent their petition to the Texas lock box which is not the same and it grossly skews the timeline estimates for actual TSC filers.

    Thanks and good luck.

Done! Sorry about that, I was at work when I received the text message. I couldn't update my profile a while ago until I got home.

    Thanks!

  8. July filer here....just received "updated alien # notification today"

how do I get it to post my timeline below? type it out??

Congrats! How long did it take for them to change it? Did your application go to TSC or CSC?

To update your info and show your location when you post, click this link:

    http://www.visajourney.com/timeline/intro.php

    To make a timeline:

Click your name on the upper right corner of the page, click my profile, click edit my profile, click signature. Then type in your timeline.

    Goodluck to everyone!

  9. Based on your location, your petition will actually be processed at the California Service Center not the Texas Service Center. Keep in mind all applications are sent to the Texas Lockbox Facility and then routed to either the CSC or TSC for processing.

Thank you! I will update my profile as soon as I receive my NOA1 and confirm that it is really CSC :)
