Is there any reason why your parents are not on the same one petition?  They can take awhile to answer your email.  You can try using this link to see if it helps.

    https://egov.uscis.gov/e-request/Intro.do

They are both on one petition. I don't know why they assigned them to two different locations. Thank you, I'll check that link

  2. Hi all,

I have applied for visas for my parents. However, now that the cases have been sent to the National Visa Center (NVC), they have assigned one of the cases to Abu Dhabi and the other to Yerevan. Unfortunately, there is no US embassy where my parents reside, and NVC no longer accepts phone calls. Although I have already sent them an email, I have not yet received a response. Has anyone else had a similar experience? I would like to know if it is possible to change the location for one of the cases so that my parents can travel together. I have not paid the fees or filled out the DS-260 form yet.

  3. It seems that I can not get a break from USCIS. So I had my interview on July 12th. They never told me that it will be a combo interview with my I-751 and I had no clue! Thank god my husband was with me and we went to the combo interview together. After that I had my N-400 interview. So after all was done the officer told me that she has to approve the I-751 first so she can approve my citizenship and it seemed that there was a problem in her system which she couldn't put approval for either one in the system!!! She told me that I'm approved and even gave me the passport documents to bring with me in my oath ceremony, but since that day neither of my cases have been updated in the case tracker and I have no idea when my oath ceremony will be :((( . Did anyone have any similar experience? :(

Update: I passed the citizenship exam and all the questions on 1/22/19. However, when I arrived they did not know I had I-751 pending. So they didn't have my I-751 file available, although it was supposedly in the same office. I did bring my wife so he kind of did a quick I-751 interview. When I left he said he will look for my I-751 case and review it. Then he will approve I-751 or request evidence and subsequently approve N-400.

Today 1/23/19 the following updates appeared in the N-400 and I-751.

As a background I'm CSC for I-751 pending (applied July 2017) then I applied as soon as possible for N-400 online on July 2018

    Oath Ceremony Will Be Scheduled

We placed you in line for your oath ceremony and will send you a notice for Receipt Number IOEXXXXXXX with the date, time, and location of your oath ceremony. You should receive your notice within 30 days of its mailing date. Please follow the instructions in the notice. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.

Case Transferred And New Office Has Jurisdiction

On January 22, 2019, your Form I-751, Petition to Remove Conditions on Residence, Receipt Number WACXXXXX, was transferred to another USCIS office. That office now has jurisdiction over your case. We sent you a notice that explains why we moved your case. Please follow the instructions in the notice. If you do not receive your notice by February 21, 2019, please go to www.uscis.gov/e-request to request a copy of the notice. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.

I have the same situation as you. Though for me I haven't been scheduled or heard anything about my N-400. My I-751 CSC is still pending from June 2017 and I applied for Citizenship in July 2018. Today I filled an inquiry form for my I-751. Hopefully, I hear sth soon. Which field office did you file your N-400?

    Your approval should come soon!

If you use that case tracker app there are still applications ahead of mine (WAC17257) that haven't been approved and a lot of cases behind my number that have been approved. So I think it's somewhat random? Hold on tight maybe you number will come up shortly!

Yeah I check that often and that's why I'm disappointed because a lot of cases before me and after me have been approved :( I hope mine approves soon.

    Hang in there.

Are you checking on the app for updates?

Many July 2017 filers from CSC have been approved and most recently someone who's case was transferred to Texas,  got an RFE.  You might be outside of normal processing times, if so, you should call.  I'm not certain of your dates, so you'll want to look that up before you call to inquire.

Based on the chart I'm not out of normal processing time, but I think it has to do sth with the fact that I also applied for N-400. I don't know hopefully mine approves soon too.

Just checked my status, still says case was received by the local office. WAC17256 CSC, saw couple WAC17269 got approved, wonder why my status has not changed? Maybe because I also filed N400, and they will have to wait for the combo interview? Anyone on the same boat?

I have the same situation! I'm CSC WAC17266 and filed for N400 also! I was thinking the same thing. If that's the case we probably have to wait longer.

  8. So my status on USCIS website is still like " USCIS can't provide you any information at this time" and on DHS is reviewing your biometrics! I called the customer service number that was there and they had to transfer me to talk to an officer and he told me they don't know about that and it's a network issue and I should contact the net department 😐😒. I'm not going to call them, I'll just keep checking the DHS website, but it's so annoying! 5E44E9B3-9648-42AF-A443-85ECF6C65A3B.jpeg.e30e7a84937da2dee08416ddf7280131.jpeg.c48dcbb547125732a1ce3b5463ae66dd.jpeg.57f3bda4c180ba655338805e80900603.jpeg

    Hello!

I applied online July 16th based on marriage.

My biometrics appointment is on August 8th and the letter states I should take my green card with me. Just before I submitted application, I had an INFOPASS appointment and got the I-551 stamp on my passport and the card itself was taken.

Anyone on the same situation? I’m hoping I can just show my passport with the stamp, but I’m not sure.

    thank you!

    Carina.

I had the same situation and had my biometric appointment today. They asked for my green card, but I told them the situation and they just checked the stamp in my passport and everything was fine. Just make sure you take your passport with you.

Hi fellow N-400 July filers. I have a two quick questions. I am attaching to my online N-400 application as "Evidence supporting the marriage" pretty much anything that I put in the I-751 application (Which is still pending) and of course updated versions up to the current month of all those supporting documents namely tax transcripts, bank statements, bills, policies etc. My questions are these: With regard to the taxes I have obtained my tax returns transcripts the kind the IRS recommends for immigration and I have attached those from the last 3 years and for 4 years in total as part of the evidence. Are these tax transcripts of my returns directly issued by the IRS enough, or do I have to provide copies of the returns themselves? And second question: For my I-485 and I-751 I attached wedding photos and relationship photos we've taken throughout our marriage, is this necessary for the N-400 application or not, did you guys attached photos?

    Thanks

I didn't attach any photos because in supporting documents on the website they didn't mention that and also when you have your green card and you are in process of ROC it shows that you guys are still together otherwise it would have been denied by now. I just sent our leases, insurances and tax transcripts. Good luck :)

We officially hit the submit button online for the N-400 application this morning! Excited to be in the "beginning of the end" of our dealings with USCIS! I'm wondering what's next....how long have you guys waited to get a biometrics appointment? Does it come through the online portal or do you have to wait on snail mail?

Mine was pretty quick, I filed online on July 2nd and my biometrics appointment is on July 24th! In a few days check the document tab on DHS website and they will upload your biometrics letter there. You will also receive a hard copy in the mail.

    Quick Question"

There is a 4 day gap, my wife stopped to visit her sister in the UAE before she moved here, so I am missing a 4 days on the application.. because she was traveling.

Left South Africa on 06/01/2015 landed in the US on 06/05/2015. What shall I enter? Thoughts?

I would just put 06/04/2015 the last day she was in South Africa.

Don't have that tab, guess I will have to wait a bit till it is processed

I think so since the 8th was Sunday I think it might take a little bit to update, good thing is that you have the receipt number and they will also mail you the NOA. I will also try to log out and open the DHS website with another browser.maybe that helps

    Hey,

Can this process take upto 17 months as estimated or will it be quicker?

I think it will be quicker, the officer at the field office told me right now it's about a year. Also, other people mentioned that as soon as they did their fingerprints the estimated time dropped to 13 months or so, but you never know with USCIS  My Biometric appointment is on July 24th. I'll mention it here if my estimated time drops or not.

Hi everyone, I submitted my I-751 June of last year in Vermont. We sent our packet first week of June 2017. We got NOA1 June 30, 2017 and went for Biometrics appointment July 18, 2017. We never heard from them since then. My extension letter will expire on August 16, 2018 so I set an infopass appointment today, July 6, 2018 in Pittsburgh, PA. I told the guy that my one year extension is expiring next month. He checked my extension letter and passport and stamped it for another year. He is very nice. At 8:45 pm today, my status changed from case received in local office to new card is being produced. My husband and I are wondering if the infopass appointment triggered the change of status. We are very happy about the news. My case is 17263XXXXX. I want to share this so people who are still waiting will be inspired. I am pretty soon their approvals will come.

Congratulations!!! VSC is much much faster than CSC. I had an infopass appointment last week and the officer told me they are so behind in CSC and I should be expecting to hear something around February 2019!
