  1. Yes, we really appreciate you sharing your experience at the Consulate... I have one question though... I downloaded the fiance packet from the CDJ website, and I don't see the DS-156K supplement. The only one listed is the DS-156. Do I need to download the supplement??

    Thanks!

  3. My fiance arrived to El paso and took a taxi from ther to the Juarez airport to pick me up, the taxi charged him 60 USD i think it was a lot but hey safety is priceless ;), once we were together we took another taxi fronm the airport to the hotel it was 20 USD, we checked in at the holiday inn Lincoln it is a nice hotel really close to the consulate so close that you can get there by foot but not to close to think you are there all the time, the price of the room is 65 USD plus tax, is i a really nice area and there is a little mall across the street, so that was a big plus.

    The first day (Monday) we went to the medical ( The blue one , it was really clean and has a lot of space so my fiance was able to wait with me all the time), i went to the reception desk and give the guy my passport and my letter the one with my case number and my information ( don't worry they will give you this back at the end), after some minutes they called me to take a picture and my signature.

    They told me someone was going to called me from another room , they called my name to take a blood test, the last thing they did was a chest x ray, a quick physical (weight, height, some questions .....etc), after this we went to pay it was 150 USD (tax included), i told my name to the cashier and she gave me back my papers, we had to came back for the results at 4. :no: DON'T PAY ATTENTION TO THE PEOPLE WHO SAYS THAT THE CLINICS OFFICES ARE IN THE RECEPTION OF A HOTEL, JUST SAY OK, THANK AND GO DIRECTLY TO THE CLINIC.

    On Tuesday we went to the consulate , we arrived there at 6 there was a line already, not a big one.

    We waited there 2 hours until they opened the consulate doors, they started to let people in, fiances are not allowed so my hubby had to wait outside.

    They took me to the first area The Building C where they check my papers, i gave the guy my packet 3. and he sent me to the bulding B.

    You don't have to give this guy your proofs like letters, e, mails, That is only for the consul in cas he ask you for that.

    Once i got there, i waited until i heard my name and the window number, i approched the window the consul asked me some questions like:

    -who is asking for you?

    -How did i meet him ?

    -Where does my fiance lives at?

    -What does he do for al living?

    -What do i do for aliving ?

    -Which one of his names i prefered to use?

    After that he said "You Obtained The Visa, Congratulations", i felt so happy i wanted to kiss him :P , i had to wait some hours until they gaveme my passprot back, and when they did i realized that it was my passpost but the visa was from someone else so i told the guy and they fixed it in less than 10 minutes so CHECK THAT YOUR PASSPORT AND YOUR VISA HAS YOUR INFORMATION .

    I went out and i saw my fiance , he had sucha nervous face. I crossed the street and he kissed me and huged me, and then i sad "we got it" and he was so happy, later at night he took me to a restaurant to celebrate. :dance::dancing::dance::dancing: , we are so happy we can barely believe it.

    SOME ADVICES AND INTERESTING POINTS

    -The Juarez consulate is the only one in Mexico that gives K1 Visas.

    - No appoitments are required (the letter on packet3 with your name and the case number is the one that you need to do the medical and to get into the consulate)

    -You don't have to wait for packet 3, if you are in a hurry call the consulate and ask them if they already sent the packet if they say yes you can download everything form the ciudad juarez consulate web sitehttp://ciudadjuarez.usconsulate.gov/wwwhiv...ml#fiancepacket

    And once you get to juarez go to the information window that is right next to the door and ask for the letter.

    -Fiances are not allowed to go inside the consulate anymore, they will have to wait outside.

    My boyfriend waited for me at this really nice restaurant called "La fondita ", is right in front of the consulate.

    - Avoid having this thing in your purse, your pockets, or your back pack:

    Electronic devices (cell phone, cameras, palms, video cameras, etc.)

    Make up

    Mirrors

    and everything that can be taken as a white weapon.

    -Remember to pay your fee at banamex before you go to the interview the cost fo this is 100 USD, take your reciept with you to the interview, they will ask for it.

    -Police certificates are not requiered in mexico, unless that you comitted a crime in the past.

    -If you were deported before and you are applying for a visa don't panic , they will probably say that you can get a waiver, they will ask you to pay for a finger print check that costs 85 USD.

    -The past denials of tourist visas, or the cancellation of them don't affect the proccess of this visa, the consul may ask why, and when this happened, just say the truth about this.

    -When they check your papers in building C just give the papers on packet 3:

    Mexican passport

    Two un-mounted full-face photos, taken within the past six months

    Original and photocopy of applicant’s birth certificate

    Intend to Marry Affidavit (CDJ-401 form).

    2 Form DS-156

    2 Form DS-156K(supplement)

    Employement letter.

    Public Charge Information, formOF-167, I-134 (wich take me to teh next point)

    - It is not necessary to bring a I-134 form or a I-864, what says on the formOF-167 is that you have to prove you are not going to be a public charge , you can do it by showing:

    1. Statement from a senior officer of a bank showing present balance of petitioner’s / applicant’s account, date

    account was opened, the number and amount of deposits and withdrawals during the past 12 months, and

    the average balance during the year (if there have been recent unusually large deposits, an explanation

    therefore should be given);

    2. Proof of ownership of property or real state, in the form of a title, deed or the equivalent, and a letter from a

    lawyer, banker or responsible real estate agent showing its present valuation (any mortgages or loans

    against the property must be stated);

    3. Letter or letters verifying ownership of stocks and bonds, with present market value or expected earnings

    indicated;

    4. Statement from insurance company showing policies held and present cash surrender value;

    5. Proof of income from business investments or other sources.

    This is raelly similar to the requirements of the I-134 that's why people is using it for the interviews. I USED THE I-134 .

    -Your originals are only to show them in case the consul wants to see them , don't give them to the first guy that cheks he is only checking you have all the thing mentioned on packet 3. We were really lucky that the consul didn't ask for anything, but be prepared i saw some girls who didn't have proofs of having a relationship or the originals of the documents that didn't get the visa , so read the guides on this site and try to bring everything they say on them.

    Here is a little map from the zone that i made.
