Finally my wife and child landed in USA on 11th Feb. A long journey. My wife's visa was approved on 11th January, but the step child's visa was on admin processing for want of custody. We were fighting for the custody in the court and it was about to close and we got the custody in the last week of January and we go the visa stamped in one day.

A question. How long we need to wait for SSN card to come and the green card?

we are in AP back in Dec 11 for want of additional document. The CO then said, if you send the document, visa will be issued in a week time. Now we got the document dropped on Jan 19, saw the updated date of Jan 22 on CEAC. I don't know how long we have to wait. Appreciate if any of you gone through this and how long one has to wait for visa issue? I know every case could be different.

The physician would have informed you if you had any issue..

nothing was told to. The physician had a friend that my wife knows and that made my wife comfortable and came to know during the conversation.

Medical done today. Don't know much details. I think only two vaccinations given.

Got a call from Mumbai consulate to my spouse just confirming that the interview, date and the need for biometrics.

Since getting our interview date I've been logging onto the CEAC page every day, waiting for it to change to "in transit." It's said "NVC" until today. Now it says "BOGOTA." I assume they forgot to change the status upon sending it, and once it got to Bogotá there was some sort of delivery confirmation and so they finally remembered to update the current processing site.

Has anyone else had their case reach the embassy without ever seeing "in transit"?

I saw my packet went based on the DHL and the sent date from NVC rep, but just today I noticed changed to "In Transit"

Mine is on 11th December. Worried how the procedure in general. what are the steps there, how you will be called, where to go first and next? Is that a window like mormaly are? will be asked to apprear in a room? Many questions.

Hey everybody, today was my interview at the Mumbai Consulate, India and extremely pleased to say that I have been APPROVED!!! Whole interview process was over in one hour. I will post a detailed experience later. It was a tough interview because we had lots of red flags, which meant lots of questions.

That's true. I'm applying for my step-daughter (IR2) so my husband will attend the interview with his daughter; I will stay in the US with our kids. The interview is at 7:15 am.

My CC done, waiting for interview date. I also have a step child. Will they ask for custody papers for the child? The document does not say anywhere that they need one.

AOS scanned 6/10

IV scanned 7/11

AOS accepted 7/18

IV check list scanned 9/3 - check list for original documents. sent copy before

CC - 10/29 - it looks like 60 days. - took 57 for me

CEAC shows N/A. called NVC to confirm. It is a CC. scan date for IV check list 9/3.

Thank God and thanks to all, especially Saylin who has setup this forum and good instructions. It was a long journey started at Nov 4, 2013 at USCIS and April 17 at NVC.

The journey continues Some ligths at the end of the tunnel. Thank God.

Spouse and step child. same category

It sounds like they might be going back and reviewing cases by first scan date for those that sent items in before the change to sending packets together. I'm sure there were a lot of calls of nvc about having to wait until sixty days after last scan date. So maybe they've decided to review them together still, but by first scan date. That would explain the random sept and oct case completes. I don't think they've forgotten us with Aug 27-29 dates, they're just taking longer to get us as a result.

I am not able to make out anything from the latest CC's and scan dates

I have a case that is completed, with original scan date of Aug 4, followed by another document scanned on Sept 3.

I have another case that is still pending with original scan date of July 9th, followed by checklist scan date od Sept 3

CC today scan dates 8/8, 8/18 and 9/9

I got one CC for scanned date of 9/3. Another one waiting for the same scanned date

Aos changed to N/A for step child, but not for spouse. Second mail scanned for IV is 09/03. called NVC to confirm. However we sent both spouse and step child in one packet. Thank God to the extend it is good and Thank God to the extend it is not bad.

Still waiting for the spouse IV review. We had got a check list for original docs for spouse. Check list docs scanned on 09/03.

I don't know the answer to your question, but I've read that if you are in doubt, leave that field blank and take it to the interview, the CO will help you fill it.
