I am still waiting also. I was transferred in March and then nothing... I did my N-400 in February I’m NYC so I am hoping they don’t transfer again because NYC has a long wait and we will have an expired greencard and extension letter otherwise!

what app are you using  ?

looks like there are lot of options in the playstore.

The one I use is called case tracker and it has an eagle crest in blue with red and white stripes below. I downloaded it seeing a post about other people also using it, and you can put a number in and search for up to 500 in your range to see how things are moving.

Hi there! Have been following this thread for a while, good info!

Filed March 28th 2018. Got biometrics waived. Then biometrics were requested ,so, I did that last Wednesday... waiting just like everybody else here to be approved. Instead just got RFE message! No idea what they want from me this time. Very disappointed and frustrated. Did not expect that to happen at all.

I have been watching lots of cases sound mine in the app, and it seems like half of the file numbers have received RFEs. Mine has been sitting untouched even though all consecutive numbers before and after me with I-751 have been touched. It feels like forever... the more RFEs the longer this whole process is going to take!

    Hi everyone,

I’ve been checking my case status every few days out of curiosity and until today it was obviously telling me my case number was invalid - but now it says fingerprint fee has been received! No mention of biometrics letter, but I’m expecting that to be a way off yet - good to know it’s in the system though! My package was received by VSC on March 8th.

Was so glad to read this!  I just checked and mine is in the system now too.  Finally, I can track things (not that they update it much). I wonder what they meant by that I will receive a letter, I am guessing it is the receipt I already received?

  5. My husband and I traveled to Italy for vacation and visiting family last August. Prior to going he received a semi-scary medical diagnosis and he decided to get a second opinion and then treatment in Italy. He ended up staying there for 5 months, but I returned after only two weeks  because my children were still in USA and my new job was starting. Although he had no problems re-entering the US, I am worried about getting an RFE when they see the long time between re-entry.

Anyone else have long times outside the US and did you explain why in your packet? I don't know which is better or worse to do....

    Thank you!

  6. Not a single word for us on I-485 since initial acceptance letter in September. Did Bio-metrics in October.

For those still in limbo like us, did you contact USCIS? I wasn't sure to contact main office or my local branch... and how long to wait before asking for action. It's almost 6 months without any word!

    Thanks all.

Good luck and vibes to all those waiting! And congrats to those who made it through the process already!

  7. My husband received his advance parole and EAD card recently, and would like to travel before finalizing a job acceptance in the US. He is worried about going through immigration again at the airport as we had snags in various points of the process prior (RFE for K1 and after K1 Embassy interview).

Has anyone travelled on their AP before their greecard? Any experiences to help us make a decision on what to do would be very helpful!

He is traveling to Italy for about two weeks, and would have proof he went to be there while his brother was having a surgery.

    Thanks so much!

  8. we had our biometrics in NYC on October 22nd. I thought for sure this week or last-- he actually was hoping to be able to travel to Italy for Christmas.

When did you get your biometrics? The only update my husband has had since the biometrics is "interview to be scheduled.". I'm also checking constantly but no word yet. Nice to see another filer from Italy!

  9. Waltee,

We also had a crazy interview where they questioned my fiance (we have K1 visa) for over 20 minutes and asked for a lot of documents that were not previous required, so we didn't have them. 6 weeks later we finally gathered all the items they wanted on top of the entire package, including 3 years of bank statements from all our accounts, a certificate proving he was single, and more evidence of our relationship (the 50 pages of proof wasn't enough I suppose).

Are you in administrative processing still? I saw an update on CEAC today that they opened our envelope, but I too am nervous of how much longer this will take.

  10. For those of you who already went onto the https://usvisa-info.com/to pay your fee, was it just the $265 US immigrant visa application fee? Or was there another charge for something?

My fiance is saying they are asking for other money, but doesn't understand for what and I cannot see the screen to help him. I saw something about a new immigrant fee (http://www.uscis.gov/forms/uscis-immigrant-fee) but it seems to say K visa don't need to pay this.

I know we have to sign up for a courier service for the return of his passport, but I didn't think there was a fee for that.

    Any insight?

    Thanks! :)
