First off, we are super excited and grateful to have an appointment. However it's New Year's Eve and it will be hard to travel so far and get a hotel room. (He lives 5 hours away)
Question is: is it bad to reschedule? Look poorly? Also, it seems it can only be done through online system?
If anyone has rescheduled or looked into it before advice would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks!

Found this how to and thought others might like to use it too. I'm trying to make sure we get everything in before holidays get to close!

When they received my rfe evidence an email stated the would contact me via mail within 60 days if I was approved or if they needed more information from me. So give them everything because every letter for more evidence leads to another chunk of time waiting!

This is a second chance to give them the pieces they are missing. When I sent in mine I received a message saying they will process it and notify me again if anything is still missing (3rd chance). They won't deny if you supply them will everything they ask for. Good Luck!

I called and found out my case number, but that it was still being updated/ reviewed on Monday night. Now I'm super anxious about it going to the embassy. Want it to get there before the holidays!

I received the same RFE even though, like you, I had pictures, a letter, and my fiance was in America for a year on a tourist visa when we met. I re-mailed all my original proof plus more-- an entire folder of proof with both sides full. It still took a month from there to get the approval.
As the website has had glitches and has been erratic lately I would say gather everything and get ready. When you call they will confirm, but make sure you push a little because the people who answer the phones are not even in the same State as the service centers, so they cannot see everything.

I'm hoping the holidays don't slow things down since it took months for the TSC to process NOA2! We received notice on November 21st, and then I got another text on November 26th that my file was sent to the NVC. Haven't called yet, even though tempted, but will try Friday which will make the two week mark.

Now that I am beyond excited over getting my NOA2 notice for my I-129F, I realize I am confused on the next steps...
From what I understand it is:
Sent from TSC to NVC
NVC assigns #?
NVC sends me a bill?
Once bill is paid it gets sent to consulate...
Is this right? Can someone help fill me in?
Also, I don't have to send anything to NVC except payment since it was approved through USCIS, correct?
Thanks! Don't want to end up stalled with a RFE or the likes again...

I placed a medical request for expedite in a week ago and was wondering how long it takes on average to here back whether it was approved or not. Uscis says 30 days. Is that what others have experienced?
Trying to figure another flight to visit before he's approved to return to the US.
Thank you!

We only had to send the confirmation page that we had the documents ready for the interview, but it depends on the embassy. Just took a quick look and it seems the same. They want you to confirm you have everything and then they will send you package 4 (the interview date information).
