Hello All. I got a message online that my interview is scheduled.
washington field office, Fairfax, Virginia.
is anyone from Virginia? How is your interview experience here?
we are married for more than 5 years. Have 4 year old kid. We submitted joint tax returns, house deed(which is on both our names), few joint account bank statements, both our drivers licenses, Hubby’s birth certificate, our marriage certificate, child’s birth certificate , health insurance (hubby as a sponsor and we are dependents) car payments, insurance (both our names)
All utilities are on husbands name so we dint submit utilities.
apart from taking the above originals to the interview, what else am supposed to take. Anything beyond the above evidence was asked from anyone?
Please advise
thank you!

Did you filed under 5 years or you have been a GC holder for more than 5 years?

I have not but have friends who have and no issues. One had to reschedule interview because they scheduled her day before her return flight.
Was it easy for them to reschedule the interview? is it via phone or mail?

Completed my biometrics on Tuesday and already have my 'interview scheduled' notification today. Curious when that will be but they did update my expected completion from Feb to Jan after I did biometrics on time.
That's awesome!!
did you file it under 3 years or 5 years?

I applied N400 online and my estimated time showed as 7 months April 2020.
after biometrics it changed to 6 months March 2020
Today it is showing as April 2020 again.
we uploaded few documents yesterday and this could be the reason for the estimated time increased?
did anyone experience this?

So I messed up and it was today
Everything went well, it was a lot more informal than I thought (at a window, not in a room) and the interviewer fist bumped me at the end and said I was approved!
He asked me to wait and already gave me my N-445!
what is N-445?

It is good, I just look at their requirements...
Hi Alimanu,
I did not submit any bank and credit card statements. What evidences you have submitted?
I submitted the following
my green card
USC husbands birth certificate
marriage certificate
IRS return transcripts last 4 years
child birth certificate
house deed- showing both our names that we purchased in 2017
please let me know if this evidence is enough. I am little worried by seeing what others are submitting
Thanks!

Hi All
I filed my N400 yesterday and submitted the below documents.
Eligibility for filing started last year Sep. I got my conditional GC in 2015 Sep and my GC in Oct 2018.
Below are the evidences
Copies of:
My GC
Marriage Certificate
USC husbands birth certificate
IRS return transcripts (married filing jointly since 2015)
Daughter's Birth certificate
House deed(we purchased in 2017 and shows both our names)
Please let me know if it is sufficient or I have to add more evidences.
I followed the requirements that mentioned the USCIS website, did anyone face any issue when they submitted the minimal requirements?
Thanks

This is not I-751 application, so no need to add everything
- Copies of Passport pages along with flight itinerary(2 trips out of US 2 weeks each)- no need
- Copies of Utilities bills - you many add as additional evidence
- Copies of 8-16 photos together (i.e. wedding, graduation, vacations etc.)- no need
- Notarized Affidavits from family members.- no need
- Health directive- no need
- 3 months of bank statement would be fine, since you are adding tax transcript.
- No need to notarized lease documents- but add them as additional evidence
I Submitted the below documents along with my N400.
Eligibility for filing started last year Sep. I got my conditional GC in 2015 Sep and my GC in Oct 2018.

Copies of:

Marriage Certificate

Your i797c notice looks like it is just information stating that you are extended 18months from the GC expiration date. You may get the official i797 extension letter in the mail soon (the 1st sentence does say ' we have mailed an office notice....) . My 18month extension letter is i797 even though I ended up getting an Infopass stamp before I received that i797.
If you are concerned about getting the i797c vs the i797 , contact the USCIS and see what they say.
I just called and they said that their system is still not updated about the i797C they sent to me as it is very recent and they dont see any other notice sent to me prior to it and I have to take info pass appointment and check with the local office if I have questions about this.
We filed the petition ourselves without any attorney. And I confirmed with them the same that there is no attorney information on file.
I am not sure why I did not get i797 which is an official notice.

@madhavisri0618 - the first line is the hint: the original has been mailed to your lawyer or representative you chose on your G-28 form (the blue one that was submitted on top of every other form). Get in touch with your lawyer and get the original from him/her. It usually arrives at your lawyer's address about 2-3 days after that notice arrives at your place. The one that @adj07 showed is the one you can travel with; the one you have cannot be used to travel.
For the rest of you, I am a VSC filer, EAC17286 - filed July 13, 2017. At the beginning of the week (August 20) USCIS' case status showed that my card was in production and late yesterday I saw that it's changed to "card mailed." We were not interviewed again, though I did have a biometrics appointment sometime in mid-August 2017.
I'm married to another LPR so I can't go the N400 route, but I had no problems getting an I551 stamp about three weeks before the expiry of my original 12-month extension letter at the Fairfax office outside of DC. The I551 stamp is valid for a year, but I subsequently received the 18-month extension letter as well. My lawyer tells me that the I551 stamp is the date to go by, not the extension letter. For those of you looking for Infopass appointments: the new appointments became available between 11.58PM-12.02AM, but there's also an Infopass request kiosk just after security in the lobby if you want to go in person to request a spot and the kiosk seemed to always show availability - even same day, though several hours later.
Good luck to you all. For those of you who aren't filing your naturalizations until the five-year mark, see you around in the eventual April or July 2020 N400 threads!
I have seen that line but we did not go through any lawyer. We filed our petition self. We moved to our new home and did the change of address with USCIS.
At the time of filing for ROC, as we do not use any lawyer, We did put our residing address. This is confusing!

Wife got her 18 month extension letter today. Her critical number is 297.
We weren't too excited to get this letter because she is afraid to travel with it anyway; and yes we know that many others have traveled with the expired card and extension letter.
She will only feel comfortable traveling with the 10 year Green Card.
Hello,
may I know what is critical number? Where exactly can I find this number? Please let me know.
i received my extension letter and it has i797C on it. Below is the letter. Please let me know if your wife's extension letter looks the same with i797C or different with just i797?

That is the 18 month extension. It extends the expiration date on your Green card for 18 months....
I have seen some one posting their extension letter has i797 on it and not i797C like mine and it does not have _" this notice does not grant..........."
is your extension letter same as the above with i797C?

I just got my 18 months extension today, my application for the removal of conditional status was 7/27/17
Hello,
can you please tell me if your extension letter has i797 or i797C on it?
my 18 month extension letter has i797C and states that "This notice does not grant any immigration status or benefit".
I am a bit confused with this. Pleas let me know if your letter states the same or if I am missing anything.

CSC filer here and also received my 18 month extension letter, also dated 8/11/2018; inconsequential to my situation as I received a 1 year I-551 stamp already. Just posting for the sake of record keeping on here.
Hello,
i received my 18 month extension letter and it says i797C. Below is the letter. I am kind a confused. May I know if your letter states the same as i797C?

I have seen that link earlier and I am kind a confused so posted it here.
Is the i797C that I got is my official extension letter? Can anyone with the 18 months extension letter tell me if they got the same one or it stated i797. I remember I saw one in this thread whose 18 month extension letter has i797.
