  1. They send you an email stating your aplication is ready for interview scheduling which means they have to check eith your local uscis office fir a date and they will let you know. It usually takes a few days after you get that email do i'm waiting to get the date. It also depends on where you live i think, some places take longer than others. Here in vermont is pretty fast. Good luck :)

Ive been on Testing and Interview since July 30th and still nothing. We're going on a trip for 2 weeks next week, so I'm hoping I get an interview for september :)

  2. And did you manage to apply for one succesfully? Do they require NOA hard copy? I also want to get a US ID asap, I don't like carrying around my passport because I'm always afraid I'll lose it.

I havent tried yet. Couldn't go in today. Thinking about going in tomorrow. The woman on the phone explained to me the process, and no they dont ask for any NOA or anything. I asked about the ID though, not the driver's license. all she said is to go to a DMV to apply, they will then send you a form in the mail, you have to complete it and send it back to them, then they will give u a call for you to go in and verify your identity and whether you are truly a WA resident. Seems like a lot of work, but if you need an ID, I think its best to start doing it ASAP. I need one too as I dont want to keep carrying my passport around. Will write more about it tomorrow if I go to the DMV.

  3. I know I have seen it somewhere on the forum a while back but i cannot remember on what post i had read about it. I checked the example forms on this forum but part 4 is left blank, so it is not helping.

What did people who got their AP approved put for part 4 (reason for requesting AP)?

on the instruction guide from USCIS' website, it says that vacation is not a valid reason to request AP.

Also, it also asks to provide a separate sheet of paper explaining the reason why you're requesting it. Is this really necessary?

    Thank you :)

  4. Hi,

I was wondering, do I still have to submit evidence of a bonafide marriage with my I-485 if I already have an approved I-130?

the I-130 was approved a few days ago, and we are switching form consular processing to AOS.

I will still include the marriage certificate but do I need to include rental leases and everything else that proves that the marriage is real? I thought that since my I-130 was approved there would not be a need to send these documents again.

    Please advise. Thank you :)

    AOS from B2

  5. Hi,

I was wondering if this rule applies to everybody? I am married to a USC. We live overseas so we started with a CR1 visa and submitted the I-130 last month. Got the I-130 approval yesterday. We are now in the US (rented a summer rental so we could spend the summer here-have some family coming to Seattle, and wanted to spend time with them... ). I came in as a B2 visitor. We actually really like it here and wish we could stay and not leave. Do I have to wait the 60 days to apply for AOS? I had my medical done 2 weeks ago and read that they might think that I had preconceived intent (i was overdue for a vaccine and wanted to get it done since I would need it for my CR1)

    thank you

  6. We got married back in march this year and file for my I-130 in april from abroad. End of May, we decided to go spend the summer in the US. It's has been just under 2 weeks, but we don't think we want to go back... We still have our apartment overseas, with internet, cable, electricity, etc... We just rented (on monday) a small place on a month to month basis to spend the summer here, but like I said, everything of ours is still in our portent overseas.

If we submit for AOS, would that be considered intent to stay and get denied?
