That's not fair, is it? Many of us here applied, many many moons ago and still waiting. And you just arrived and already schedule for Oath? I'm not happy about that at all.

I wouldn't bother calling to ask about delays. Some of us have been waiting since 2018 for I-751 and a year for N-400 so you probably have many months to wait. I know it is very frustrating!

What does your USCIS account say for "estimated completion"? Even though it may not be totally accurate, it may give you an idea of the timeline for your field office.

    @alexpop13Yeah, right!
We asked her if she HAD to do that...and she chuckled and said, "Yeah,  just like with the photo, it gets stapled."
    We were bummed.
And she had issues with the photo, so had to take another one with a whiter background. Went back the next day to submit it.
We went to a local courthouse, since they took walk-ins with no appointment.
In Miami they do same day, or 24 hours (next day), if you have the need. We thought about driving there to get it, but bagged that idea with the virus and all.
And we found out they would have stapled it there too.

We did not bother to expedite it. 6-8 weeks is the official estimate. We shall see how long it takes.
Not going anywhere before then. After we get it, maybe to Europe for vacation or to Canada for work if necessary.
But that can wait until it is safe to travel. No rush.
Rest of the family (all my siblings and parents) immigrated from Dubai to Canada. They are all Canadian citizens now.
I am the only American citizen in the immediate family. Happy to be in Florida and to be American.

Congrats again! Great to be done, right!

Had my interview this morning at the Chicago office. The entire interview/Civic test and all was less than 15 minutes.
And I was approved on the spot (see attached document).
I was scheduled for 8:35AM. I got there earlier than that, around 7:30AM. And they Called/interviewed me before 8AM.
I wish the rest of you all a successful smooth interview process

Hi everyone, I’ve just passed my N-400 and I-751 combo interview this Monday 02/10 at Dallas USCIS Field Office. I have been observing many of your previous experience regards the combo interview and they really helped me a lot for mine. Everything went pretty smooth. My interview was scheduled at 2:00pm. My husband and I arrived at 1:30pm, went thru the security check, then checked-in at the reception area where they took a picture of mine and got my finger-prints scanned. Then we went to upstairs and waited there until 2:15pm. The IO was a very nice lady. She called my name; my husband also stood up and came with me. The IO didn’t say a thing about him coming along with me. After we sat down, she quickly explained that she had to adjudicate my I-751 first, then she would move to the N-400 interview later. I-751 questions: How did you two meet? Did you exchange phone numbers / email addresses? What is your spouse’s b-day? What do you like most about your spouse? What is the least thing you like about your spouse? Where do you work? Where does your spouse work? Where did you live right after getting married? How far is it from Chicago & Iowa? What is your current address? Do you have any children? During the interview, we had some small talks about the Chicago Bear, about the winter time in the North as I told her I just stayed in IL for one winter and I decided I didn’t like the cold so we both moved to Dallas later on. So it was kind of a conversation which I think has helped us to show the IO about our marriage life. Also she did reviewed all the evidences that we submitted with the I-751 form and asked some questions regards random locations where we took the photos. At the end of the I-751 interview, the IO asked if we have any other evidences that we wanted to update. Since we only submitted the purchase contract of our new house at the time we filed I-751, in this interview I brought our mortgage papers and the property deed I printed out from my county’s website which showed both my husband and me as the owners of the house. I also gave her our joint tax forms of 2018 & 2019. I asked her if she needs to see more of our updated photos but she said no need. Civic questions: What is the name of the national anthem? We elect a U.S. Representative for how many years? In what month do we vote for President? What is the capital of the United States? The idea of self-government is in the first three words of the Constitution. What are these words? What is one right or freedom from the First Amendment? After completed with the civic questions, the IO then asked a list of yes/no questions as showed in the N-400. I had a speeding ticket after filling the N-400 so I also brought the receipt and the dismissal order from the court to show that I already paid the fines. I didn’t tell my husband about the ticket so when I told the IO that yes I had a speeding ticket, my husband was like “no, you didn’t have any ticket”, and I told him “Yes I did. I was afraid that you would be mad at me so I didn't tell you”. The IO was like “Ohhhh, so we have a little secret that has just been revealed now. But I am glad that she tells the truth”. She said a lot of people swear to tell the truth but they still hide things. The IO joked with me that I was in bad luck to get pulled over on I-75 as she saw a lot of people usually drive at that speed. She was fine with all the documents I brought in to show that I already paid for the ticket. I think thru this conversation, it also showed that we have a normal husband & wife life. So, I guess it is still fine if you have some differences between your answers, as long as the IO can see a bona fide marriage from how you interact with each other from day-to-day life. At the end, she confirmed with me once again about my name change (I requested a name change when I filed the N-400 form), updated my traffic ticket and that I paid all the fines, and also updated my latest trip back to Vietnam to visit my parents. Everything was showed on a tablet screen and I had to sign to confirm all of the changes were correct. Then she told me that she approved both of my I-751 and N-400 and gave me a paper which she checked on the box “Congratulations …...” and that she already put my name in queue for the Oath ceremony, so I would expect to receive the letter about the Oath in 4-6 weeks as they had to wait for a judge to do the ceremony (I guess because I requested for name change so it would take longer???) She also told me that I shall not receive the 10-year GC as I am going to be soon a US citizen, but I will still see on the USCIS website that my I-751 will be approved.   **** My I-751 & N-400 timeline: 6/30/2018 – I-751 application sent 7/01/2019 – N-400 application sent 7/04/2019– Biometric appointment for I-751 scheduled on 7/17/19 7/05/2018 – Biometric appointment for N-400 scheduled on 7/26/19 7/17/2019 – Combo biometric for I-751 & N-400 (I came in, showed the 2 letters to the guy at the reception and asked if I could do both today since the 2 appointments only 1 week apart. He said yes of course) 8/08/2019 – I-751 was transferred to another USCIS office. That office now has jurisdiction over your case (NBC Lee Summit, MO) 01/06/2020 – N-400 interview was scheduled 02/10/2020 – I-751 & N-400 combo interview 02/11/2020 - We placed you in line for Oath ceremony & no update on the I-751

    Hello Everyone!
I  just had my Naturalization interview this morning and I want to share my experience here.
    I was asked 6 questions:
What is the capital of the United States?
What ocean is on the East Coast of the United States?
Name the U.S. war between the North and the South
    Who was the first President?
What is one thing Benjamin Franklin is famous for?
How many justices are on the Supreme Court?
He went over my application, then he asked me the yes / no questions and that's it. He told me my application has been recommended for approval. It didn't take more than 10 minutes. Now my status changed "Oath Ceremony Will Be Schedule".
    Good Luck everybody!

Just got home from my interview. Recommended for approval!

The whole interview took about 20 minutes; the officer was the same lady that did our green card interview back in 2016.
I applied using 3-year rule, so the officer started with asking me if my marriage was in good standing, then she asked me to confirm my date of birth and address, then asked me civics questions (she asked 6, I answered all correctly). Then she did the English language part: I had to read a sentence from a tablet and then write a sentence on the same tablet. After this, she asked me about the traffic violations that I mentioned on my applications. I had two minor fender-benders back in 2013-2014 and I submitted the documents proving that I paid the fines. I also brought printed out copies of those, but she didn't ask for them. Then, she asked me questions from the application (have I ever been a terrorist, a vigilante, etc, do I promise to respect the Constitution). After all this, I had to confirm that my information is correct and she said that I should get oath ceremony appointment within two months. I'm changing my middle name, so it's going to be a courthouse ceremony.
My status on the USCIS website is still the same, but it'll probably take a couple of days to update.

This is a huge relief! I've been super stressed out about the interview!

Got the interview notice today! I-751 still pending, so we're operating under the assumption that this is going to be a combo interview.

    App Submitted Oct 27th
    Biometrics Nov 20th
    Interview scheduled for Feb 18th.

Local office is West Palm Beach, FL.
Interesting, the platform still says that June 2020 is the expected completion date. Hmm. Either way, we're VERY excited to have an interview date so much earlier than what we were expecting.

I already posted this in another discussion, but it also fits here:

I just had my naturalization interview in Washington D.C... which turned out to be a combo interview for i-751 and N-400. I was approved for both/passed both, but the i-751 needs to be adjudicated first. Also, I won't receive the physical 10 year green card as I will at the same time receive citizenship. I-751 was filed in June 2018 in Vermont.
The officer told me to expect a status change by end of tomorrow and oath ceremony in either January or February.

The overall experience was very good; the officer was nice and the entire appointment took 20 minutes. My husband and two week old daughter were there as well. First, he told me that he needs to adjudicate my i-751 case. He asked me and my husband about our names, DOBs, my daughter's name and her birth certificate, both husband and I had to show documents. He also asked when was our wedding  (didn't ask for marriage certificate). He added my baby's info in the system. Then we moved to naturalization interview. First was the civics test, then I read a short sentence and wrote a simple sentence (officer told me what to write). Then he asked me YES/NO questions from the application (have you ever been.. part of xyz, have you ever been arrested etc). Then the interview was completed.
He approved my naturalization and i-751, but said that the approval would be done by end of tomorrow.

So happy to be done with this!
