Notified today through the USCIS App that a new green card is being produced.
Have not received an email or text message, but the app shows the card is being produced
for our EAC#.
-
We received our 18 month extension letter today in the mail. Last week we went and got the 1 year extension
stamp on the passport... LOL, so not sure what that means that we got the extension letter this week - which
is the week the 2 year card with 1 year extension from last year was set to expire.
Anyway, still waiting for approval.

Oh I got the stamp at uscis office last week too but they gave my expired green card back after checking. I wonder why its different.
I don't know... I wondered why as well. My wife went without me, but with a friend. I felt like we paid for the 2 year card we
should get to keep it for posterity. Kinda bummed me out to find out she had to give it up. My wife's friend said they kept hers too when
she got the stamp a while back.

We got our 1 year extension stamp in my wife's passport today at our local USCIS office. They kept the 2 year Green Card that was going to
expire on March 12, 2019. So we are still waiting for the I-751 approval, but at least we can renew my wife's drivers license.

Congratulations on your upcoming baby!
This was the same situation I was in, except replace baby’s due date with needing to travel. I never received the 18 month letter.
At the bottom of the page where it says your office isn’t accepting appointments there’s a little paragraph that says:
“If you need help with document services (such as passport stamps and advance parole) or have an emergency, call the USCIS Contact Center at 1-800-375-5283. USCIS representatives are available Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Eastern except on federal holidays.”
I called and they had someone call me back to schedule me at the office that wasn’t accepting appointments online.
As @Amhara said, I believe whoever processed the inquiry may have just approved my case as it was suddenly approved 3 days later, the same day as my new infopass appointment, and my 10 year greencard arrived within the week.
I’ll add that I did submit an online inquiry as well but all of the above occurred before I even heard a response from them, which was about a month.
Thanks. We will try to a call that phone number. I did the online inquiry last week, but they have a month to respond.

Hi, we got the standard 1 year extension letter last year. My wife's 2 year card expires on March 12, 2019.
Our baby is due March 31 to April 6th - and I need to make sure we can renew my wife's NC drivers license
as it expires on March 12th when her green card extension expires. I tried making an appointment at
our local office online, but the infopass system says this office is not accepting appointments. When
I try calling the USCIS phone number I just get a menu system that goes in circles and never gives me
an option to speak with a live person.
Does anyone know what number I can call to speak to someone about extending her current card until
the 10 year card is approved? I just want to get her drivers license renewed so she can get to doctors
appointments, etc...
We never got the 18 month extension.
Thanks much.

Question, which form do you all December filers use? Since I've been waiting for a month and didn't hear back from them at all...I'm wondering if it's because my form is not the correct version.
I checked the files I sent them and on the top right corner of the form says that the form expires 11/30/17 (it's the 12/23/16 version), I sent out my packet on 12/20/17 with that form.
Now I go to their website and there is an updated version I either saved the perevous version in Nov and just worked on it until I sent my packet or I just didn't see the newer one at the time I sent my packet?!
I used the same form you did and sent it to VSC on Dec. 27, 2017. It was received on Jan. 2nd, 2018 and we got the NOA dated 1/3/2018.
Did you track your package and see for sure it was delivered properly?

Update: just received my package back from VSC. They wanted the updated form even though they are still accepting the old form. My only thinking is that since my green card expires after the date that they'll last accept the old form that's the reason they want it on the new form??? Perhaps anyway, my package looks awful and nothing like the one I sent in.
It came in a reused priority mail envelope that wasn't even sealed it was just held together with rubber bands....lovely.
Redoing it with the new form and sending it back.
That's weird. I used I-751 12/23/16 N
Sent it to Vermont a few days after yours and have gotten my NOA and check cashed.
Is that the form you used?
-
90 days before your card expires begins your window for filing the I-751 form and supporting documents... so middle of July 2018 or so...
You should get a notice about this a few weeks before...but it's never too early to start putting the paperwork together...
-
I just logged on to IRS.gov and printed out all of my tax transcripts... you don't have to order them anymore...

"12/05/17. Starting 02/19/2018, we will only accept the 12/05/17 edition. Until then, you can use the 12/23/16 edition. You can find the edition date at the bottom of the page on the form and instructions."

Hello all,
I'm Filipina and moved in North Carolina from California 6 months ago and now looking for a cargo company near Cary. My husband is Caucasian so if you just moved here as well, and your wife needs friend, let me know and we can chat. So any luck in finding cargo company that ships to Philippines? I didn't have that problem in California but since moving here, I feel like I don't have that Filipino connection anymore.
Hi, and welcome to NC. Sorry about the cold cold weather this week... it will warm up soon... LOL
Here is where we ship from every year - http://orientalstoreraleighnc.com/about-us/
It's $100.00 cash - I think $105 or so if you use credit card.

Photos are a very strong piece of evidence that proves a bonefide marriage. I would be very shocked if you don't receive an RFE. I would HIGHLY suggest sending at least 10 photos.
I guess I'll be a test case... lol... I'll report back if I get RFE'd and how our case goes.
I read an interview with a former USCIS person who worked with these applications and he said photos really aren't what they are looking for. They can be staged and only
prove you were together for that moment in time. They are much more interested in comingling your financial lives and proof of that. In a fake marriage you probably wouldn't
risk putting the spouses name on a deed or as a beneficiary on life insurance or pay for health insurance...
I will let you know what happens.
Thanks

Filed I-751 and evidence on Dec. 27, 2017.
Vermont Service Center received package on Jan. 2, 2018
Evidence Sent:
I sent official IRS tax transcripts for the last 3 years - you can download these online at irs.gov
copy front and back of green card
copy of drivers license with current address
copy of health insurance card with both names on it
copy of last residence deed
copy of last residence transfer deed to new owner
current residence deed
current deed of trust
current home equity line of credit with both names
current property tax bill
home owners association showing us both on it
car insurance declaration pages
home owners declaration pages
umbrella insurance declaration pages
life insurance showing my wife as beneficiary
a couple of bank statements showing our joint account
health savings account showing both of us on it
I think that's about it. I didn't bother with photos and such... as they don't really prove anything, but may
be helpful if your other evidence is a bit thin...

Our window to file opens on January 21st. Glad to see there's already an active thread.
We've been traveling outside the country and haven't been home to receive the notice to file I-751 yet. Anyone know when we should receive it? We currently have a mail hold with USPS while we're gone.
USCIS mailed our notice on Nov. 21, 2017 for a Dec. 12, 2017 start of 90 day window...

My window opened on Dec. 12th, but didn't mail everything out until Dec. 27th. Vermont Service received on Jan. 2, 2018,

So we received my wife's green card yesterday. Much sooner than I thought and no interview required.
That's all great.
But on the green card it says Country of Birth - and they put USA - really USCIS? Are you kidding me?
If she was born in the U.S. I wouldn't have paid you all that money LOL...
I want to keep this card just to
show people...
Her EAD work and travel card says correctly Philippines.
Do we really need to send the card back and wait many months for a corrected one?
Thanks for any help/advice.
-
We received the green card in the mail yesterday.
I noticed that they put my wife's country of birth as United States, it should be the Philippines.
Why would they put the United States - wouldn't she automatically be a U.S. citizen if she were born here?
Should I can USCIS to have it changed or should I not worry about it?
Thanks, and good luck to everyone else.
-
Looks like it, congrats
although I found the interview nothing to worry about, it's nice you don't have to do one.
Thanks!
Wow, was expecting another few months wait...

so they didn't get my response to the RFE until Nov. 20, 2015.
We got he dual work/travel card in Dec.
Today I checked our receipt number, which up to now just said we received
your RFE response paperwork on Nov. 20, 2015.
Today it says this,
New Card Is Being ProducedOn March 12, 2016, we ordered your new card for Receipt Number MSC................, and will mail it to the address you gave us. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.
Does this mean the green card was approved? No interview, no other communication other than the biometrics?

No RFE.
For the last 364 days it said it was at my local office - which would be Charlotte, NC, but it could have been in Vermont I guess.
