My wife's process is now pretty much over. She's now approved and just waiting on the oath ceremony date. 

Wife got her interview notice today...scheduled for next month

Filed online yesterday for my wife. Got an instant receipt and biometric reuse file. 

Interview was quick (like 15 minutes) and green card was approved on the spot. Should get it next week.

My appointment is tomorrow morning. We haven't really prepped for it. My wife and I have been together for 10 years (married for over 7 of them). I just don't think there is much we could "prepare" for. We've had 10 years of preparation. I will let everyone know how it goes.

Green Card received today. Sigh of relief.

Finally have an interviewed scheduled for next month.

Still no appointment or anything yet. I hope to hear something soon..would love to complete this final step. Congrats to everyone else who has gotten their green card.

Just got an sms notification that the EAD card has been mailed.

EAD approved today. Just received the SMS notification.

I wasn't with her. I stayed in California. She said they only did her index finger so I'm assuming they didn't get it correctly the first time.

Oooh thats good. Did she find out why theres a second biometrics needed?

My wife completed her second biometrics on Thursday. Went early and was literally in and out within 10 minutes.

Saw the fine print. It's for biometrics. My wife just did her biometrics too weeks ago. It seems like they would combine or just use the same ones so you don't need to come in twice.

maybe they need to take the prints again, who knows? or maybe they will give you the employment card? that would be awsome if they give you the EAD in hand! let us know what happen!

Is biometrics mentioned in fine print somewhere in the appointment letter? Asking because of this thread. It would be easy to miss that if you're looking at a photo instead of the actual letter.

Yeah. It's the Detroit office. Did they have you come in multiple times?

Is the appointment in the Detroit field office? I'm starting think Detroit just interviews everyone. They called me in for an interview for the I-130 petition which I didn't think was normal either. :/

I thought it was the interview. I just looked at the hard copy myself (out of town so my mom took a pic and sent to me). It's an appointment notice for the I-765 - application for employment authorization.

I didn't even know they did those. So we'll likely need to come back for this and then also another "final" interview?

I thought you only have one more possible appointment after you finished the biometrics. This is the same location where we did the biometrics. Why would we need to return to the same place just for the employment authorization? Is this typical?

Rescheduling your appointment for when you are back in Michigan will likely be much easier than asking for the file to be transferred. That would require a new USCIS officer to receive your file and then review and prepare for the interview. That would take quite a while.

Received my interview appointment letter in the mail today (just got a phone call about it). It's scheduled for 10/22. Unfortunately, I'm visiting California right now. My appointment is scheduled for Michigan. Has anyone had success calling in and changing their appointment for a different city? I'm in the SF Bay area right now and will be here for another month. Considering I have a 14 month kid, it would likely be much easier to just do it here.
