And I agree about the customer service Reps. I call every evening and get the same guy who appears to take pleasure and shows zero empathy when he tells me "Nope no interview yet, anything else I can help u with" smh. No feedback as to when, why, what to expect, nothing.

You definitely should have heard by May 23rd. Most, but not all, and i use the word "most" cautiously, have had their cases reviewed in 30 days or less. What are they saying when you call?

Has anyone been scheduled for July?? This is so discouraging. Any July interviews?

Hi All,
We had submitted our AOS along with the documents( Birth certificate, Marriage Certificate, passport copy,Police clearance etc) and DS-260 (submitted online) in one package to NVC on April 16th. .
Exactly one month later , we got a mail from NVC yesterday - a checklist cover letter from NVC asking us to send Birth certificate , passport copy and Marriage certificate). On calling them, they confirmed that other documents were there except for Birth certificate, Marriage certificate , passport copy and Police clearance.
I am not sure what went wrong as those documents were sent in one single package.
We anyway sent the required documents again to NVC on May 21st. Bad luck , really ! Will it again take a month from May 21st for NVc to CC ? Do you think July interview is possible ?How long after the interview will we know about the visa being granted.
PD: 25 th Sept,2014
Hi. Sorry for all of your troubles. Most people are saying their cases were reviewed in about 2-3 weeks after they received a checklist but of course it varies from one case to the next. For Nigeria I'm told it's about 60 days from case complete to interview date and about a week to pick up your visa if approved. I'm not sure about India.i also heard NVC will be scheduling July interviews from May 26th thru June 8th. This is all here say.

Hi VJ, so I had received notification from NVC that they received all my packets on May 4th (23 days ago), they stated in the letter that it could take 60 days or more to finish processing. Of course I am inpatient and was wondering if I should start calling them and asking if it is complete? Will this just irritate them? lol. I have called them before when I was waiting to get a case number assigned, and most agents were so rude!!!! Was just wondering if anyone else was able to call to find out if case was complete, or did you just have to wait for the letter/email to come?
I definitely would. My case was completed in 27 days. Scan date April 17, cc May 14th. Go for it!

I called the Nvc on the 15th and was told I had case complete on that date. I'm waiting to receive the letter via email now.
Luckier than some since I'm Canadian though. I'm hoping to have my interview date within the next two weeks.
Congrats! And yes you are luckier than most being Canadian, as far as the interview wait time and less scrutiny based on your location. Good luck!

I got case complete after 60 days. At the 45th day they placed me in review. But it was done quickly. I never received a checklist nor false one. My scan date was 3/13. Things happen for a reason. My cc was done 5/11. Which is the 60 day mark and what my husband and I expected. Yay
Hello Congrats! ! I see we are both waiting for interviews to be scheduled in Lagos. Any luck yet? They told me interviews are usually scheduled at the end of the month.
congratulations!
Does the NVC mail back that the case is completed ? or do we directly get a mail containing the interview letter ?
Hello! I called and got the update. Apparently they do email you but it's usually some days after your case is updated. Calling worked best for me.

Yep. I got a checklist after 50 days of case pending at NVC. I even sent the document they are requesting before. That's why i'm so pissed of about the whole process. I asked for supervisor review, it's been 3 weeks already and nothing happen. I lost faith in this government agency so called NVC. I feel like those employees don't know what they are doing. This is screwing up my whole plan.
They really don't know what they're doing. Most times I was the one explaining the process and documents. Pretty scary. Make sure you're calling everyday. I would call early in the morning when it appeared to be more competent people answering the phone. I hope your case gets completed next week. Sorry for your stress. I'm so over the process too.

Lucky you. My scan is March 19th, and i still haven't gotten a case complete yet. Now it will take them another 30 days for them to schedule your interview. Ridiculous government agency
Why so long? Did you get a checklist? So far the people I know from here were reviewed within 30 days. That's too long

Congratulations .....What Was your Scan Date?
Thank you for the love everyone!! My scan date was April 17th!

While I'm waiting on NVC smh. This sucks

It sounds like she is having second thoughts. After all, the interview is what we all have been praying for and to not go because of a cold sounds a bit fishy. Better that you analyze the relationship now rather than later. Only you know for sure if the love feel genuine or if it's a ticket to America only.

Waiting game begins!
Yes! You and I are at the same stage in this process. Good luck

Received 2 emails stating my documents were received and confirmation of both bills paid. Cmon case complete!!
-
actually paying of fees and reviewing of documents are two seperate process. The nvc start the review of documents once they receive them they do not wait untill the iv fee is paid and the ds-260 is fill out
If you think they are going to review your documents right away because you waited untill all the fees have been paid they will not. The amount of time for them to review the document will be the same. Which actually will make your case take longer at the nvc ,then if you would of sent them in before the Iv fees were paid and the ds-260 is fill out.
You are so very correct. Please do not wait to pay the IV bill before sending in your package. I was told by the NVC to go ahead and send the AOS package right away. That's when the clock starts ticking. My friend waited and lost so much time only to be told she shouldn't have waited for the iv bill. Good luck everyone
What happened to the 30 days?

Yes. I feel your frustrations. When I was waiting on my case to be completed I was very surprised that they were holding to the 30 day mark and they actually lived up to it. It makes me wonder if they've gotten back logged again. By day 25 they promised it would happen by the 30 calendar day mark and it did. They did comment about how often I called but I don't think that played a part. Call first thing in the morning, from what I've learned the day crew seem to be more competent. The night crew are even more clueless and appear to be half asleep.
