Thank you. I did not know about that website. Looks like USCIS updated the page today to indicate that we can use chart B from the Oct 2017 visa bulletin.
Do you know how precise do I have to be about the Oct 1? In other words, do the documents have to reach them on or after Oct 1? Or can I only mail out with postmark on or after Oct 1? Or should I sign the documents with a date on or after Oct 1?
I'm not seeing any place where USCIS specifies this.
Also, I noticed some posts on this site about a WL, I presume "welcome letter". Do I have to wait for the WL or include the WL copy? I have not found this letter mentioned in any of the checklists so far.
Yes WL is welcome letter. You don't need to wait for it, just put the NOA1 I-797C. I would have the postmark for Oct 1 but I dont see why you cannot send it on 9/30 so they get it not earlier than Oct 1.

Hi, All Any one from December F2A PD Got their IL ? My PD is 12/10/15.. My I-130 just got approved after being in pending status for 1 year and 9 months... Not sure why...
What are the next steps ? Will get something from NVC ? Current I-130 status says Case was approved... Will my case get completed at NVC before my PD becomes current ? When will the PD become current ? What is the NVC process... ? Any advice will be appreciated.
You will get a link to pay fees for AOS then pay fees and submit your I-485. I expect you should get an interview in November or December.

Let's say that in the visa bulletin for October 2017, the "Dates for Filing" for my category has crossed my priority date.
Does this mean that I can send in my I-485 and all supporting documents today September 14 2017? Or do I have wait until October 1 2017?
Wait for USCIS to announce they will use chart B here: https://www.uscis.gov/visabulletininfo.
If yes, then send Documents as early as Oct 1. Not earlier.

You can file and they may ask for a joint sponsor. You should be prepared to provide one if requested.

KCC specifically tell applicants not to send them any documents. I'm assuming you didn't go through DV....
I did I won the DV2015 lottery. I was very active in another forum. I was the pregnant mommy from AF whose husband had a scar in his lungs and I was rejected even though I was the principal, you guys encouraged me to dispute it. I know you're the experts. I am only saying what I learnt. From my experience, if you have time, you can ask them to unlock your DS-260 if you have a child or divorce etc and they need to see proof like a birth certificate or a marriage certificate.

NVC has nothing to do with the DV process. Susie already gave an excellent response to the OP.
I meant KCC not NVC. I didn't dispute SuzieQQQ, I just added to what she said.

Hi guys!
Finally, after so many months, the 2nd chart moved and those waiting to adjust status will be able to do so in October. I wanted to start a thread for those of us who will be using the 2nd chart to adjust status.
A little about me, I am a green card holder sponsoring my spouse. Our PD is 02 DEC 2015.

I think she did it as single, on the form can we check that?
Yes you can check. The letter will state the dependents/derivatives.

Thanks for the answers guys,
To answer to a few; I am an IT guy of 15 years of experience in American companies but in their European or middle eastern branches/HQ's. I left my job that pays really good, and had really good benefits. They even offered me to move to U.K. Headquarters by the end of summer '17. I rejected all and start applying for jobs 3 months before I come to U.S. You will say that it is very easy to find jobs in IT but I am way over being deep technical like a programmer, because I worked as a people/team manager/director for my last 5 years. Even if I accept to lower down my expectations, they will not accept me because of the gap I have from young programmers (I am 36 by the way, but when IT is the concern, programmers are waay younger than me). People do interview me and they say everything seems just perfect but keep asking me if I have U.S. experience which I say 'I have worked for American companies, but not in the U.S. soil' which mostly gets rejection after all. People also get temporary contracted jobs for 3-6-9-12 months which does not fit me because, even if the payment is ok, if I cannot find another job to continue after the period ends what will my family eat, do , how will I pay the bills?
Plus to that, I forgot to update my profile here but I live in Houston Texas right now.
Thanks for the answers friends.. Let's see what are we going to do.

I work for UnitedHealth Group in MN and they are always looking for IT people. You could apply and see what happens. Also, you could get a 2 year re-entry if you really want to leave. This way you have 2 years to decide if you really want to abandon the application.

What is the date on your marriage certificate?

Thanks to you all for words of advice and encouragement. We have not present any willful or false documents. I will have a rethink about my decision. My family is not desperate to come to the United States but we want to justify and prove that truly we did not misrepresent any material and we are not smuggling each other as the meaning occured to me.God bless u all.
There is actually a US consular officer on a Nigerian site nolo.com you could ask her.
Thanks.

hi
i won the DV2018 lottery Im from Algeria iam about to fill the sd260 form but i get one problem im getting divorce from my husband well during the registration in the lottery i mentioned that iam married but now what shall i do knowing that i have a 7years old son and im bringing him with me without the father
so plz if anybody here has experienced this sitruation help plzz
thanks
When you fill the DS-260 you still need to list him as your husband and the father of your son. If he will not be emigrating with you you should not fill a DS-260 for him. Once your divorce is finalized you can send the divorce decree to NVC or take it the embassy if your interview is scheduled. You will need to have a court decree to prove you have custody of your son or a letter from your husband stating that he does not object you taking him with you.

Send them an email stating that you have been waiting 5 months for your passport:

Can anyone explain me how to match visa bulletin with my case, I mean what actually visa bulletin Is? My step dad was a us citizen at the time when he called me here on gc and there was no such thing like visa wait time after nvc gets done with its process. Now I have filed a petition for my wife which is I-130 permanent resident filing for spouse our pd is Sept 22nd 2016. What is visa bulletin and what happens if our pd is current? Replies would be appreciated.
Are you a Citizen of LPR? There is no wait for Citizens. You can file concurrently. There is a 2 year wait for F2A.

Let me get this straight, your ex-fiance petitioned you but things didn't work out so you are trying to find a way to withdraw yourself
or like many have said, wait a year until it expires. For me, this means your relationship just ended days or weeks ago, but somehow
you are already asking if this can affect your 2nd petition before your 1st expires.
If you can get engaged to two different USC within ONE year and somehow talk them into petitioning you right away, clearly you are meetingUSC for the sole purpose of migrating. I hope they outright reject you and put a ban on you.
If she had any ill intent, she would proceed with this petition, get the K1 and go. She is honest enough to admit it didn't work out. This is a support forum not a judgement forum and she is asking for FUTURE petitions she didn't say she has someone lined up.

It is not even possible. She would still need to wait for her priority date to become current to file the i-485. FYI the i-485 can take up to 18 months to be approved for AOS. You are better off with consular processing.

Hi,
i am just trying to connect with people who's priority date is December 2015. What are your current statuses? Did anyone get an interview call?
I submitted the documents to NVC in May and now just awaiting the interview call impatiently.
Hey!
I think interviews will be scheduled October or November. Good Luck I am 2 DEC 2015.

Also, they are not using the date for filing chart.
-
You do not need a lawyer for this though. You can file it yourself.
-
This is the chart they used in April 2016. https://www.uscis.gov/visabulletin-apr-16
you were indeed current and eligible to apply. There is a similar thread on VJ of the same case. They got an infopass and got the case reopened.

Hi where can i find invoice number?

I don't want to commit fraud hence am asking. I am pretty novice when it comes to us immigration and have just received my green card in September through dv lottery. He didnt get his because he had to go for tb testing and the results which come after 8 weeks came past September 30. I have to move within the year. When I move I will need a job and I'll need to find and furnish a house and so on so I can show income once number is current. I cannot do that alone and initially wanted to take my mom but why deprive my husband quality time with his children? He already has his visa and supposing while he is there his number goes current. I should then be able to adjust. If it is illegal I wont do it! But if it is allowed then i'd be dumb to not do it. Or am i thinking wrong? Also what is DCF?

I think you're going too fast. You knew when applying for the job that USCIS can take up to 75 days. You can only expedite after 75 days. Immigration takes time and we are all in the same boat.
