  1. And after all this time, I got this today (a Sunday!)...

    Receipt Number: MSC0630520486

Application Type: I485, APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS

    Current Status: Card production ordered.

On August 11, 2007, we ordered production of your new card. Please allow 30 days for your card to be mailed to you. If we need something from you we will contact you. If you move before you receive the card, call customer service.

Take me off that list I've been on for too long!

Good luck the rest of you!

  2. So, my appointment was at 745am and after being given the wrong directions from a family member, I got there 1 hour late! Luckily, the nice officers at Houston were understanding and let me in, which was a pleasant surprise.

I got to the window and the officer there was very friendly. She told me the FBI name check had been holding things up and that was completed in March. She asked if I replied to the RFE in April/May, which I had. I also told her about the phone call I got earlier in the week from an officer in California asking for my I-94 to be faxed over. She said that was a good thing because someone is working on the case and called me instead of sending an RFE.

I asked if it's worth renewing my EAD (expires in October) and she suggested not to as the GC should arrive by then.

    Sounds pretty positive. Thoughts?

  3. Still no update on my case. I have made an InfoPass appointment for tomorrow morning as my EAD expires in October, so I want to know what to do next. If I HAVE TO renew, I need to before the end of July because of the costs. I hope to get something good from tomorrow. Anyone have any advice on this?

I think at this point I'd get the Congressman involved to inquire on the case? Good luck for your InfoPass..I hope, they can help you!

Well, I got a surprise phone call today from an officer at Homeland Security (USCIS) in California. He asked me to fax a copy of my I-94. I asked what would happen if I couldn't find it and he said they'd send an RFE, which would take another 90 days! Anyway, I found it, faxed it and he said he'd only call back if there was a problem. He also said once he received that, he would continue with my file. He was very polite and I guess this is them preparing for tomorrow morning.

And, my case hasn't been updated on the website.

  4. :( Nothing here since the 12th. I knew they were just messing with my head. And I for one am just about over it. Not to hurt anyones feelings but I am real sick of seeing people getting approved in 2 months while we sit in limbo. Soon gonna tell the USCIS to shove their bloody greencard where the sun don't shine.

Not to be negative either, but I feel the same way. I'm pleased for these people. But, it's a complete joke that there are approvals within several weeks and some of us have been waiting over 6 months since transfer. And I know there are some around who have been waiting even longer!

  5. Hi

Just today afternoon I got a letter with my biometrics appointment schedulet do be YESTERDAY

What should I do about it - the letter sais "If you fail to appear your application will be considered abandoned"

How was i supposed to appear if i got the notification after the sppointment scheduled time.

    What's your opinion about it?

Call the number on the letter they sent and explain this. Although, I got my letter about 5 WEEKS in advance, so I don't know what went wrong with yours.

  6. Yay I got touched again today! After having no touches since september and then having my case "found" I've been touched pretty much every day since the 5th! Hopefully it'll mean an approval soon, I do hope all this touching isn't gonnna lead to another RFE though!

Karen, I'm sorry your case has been a while since it was last touched. I do hope it gets some action taken on it soon. I do believe I read somewhere that you had your senator look into and you're in namechecks, if so at least you are aware of what the hold up is and hopefully it'll be resolved properly.

I wasn't touched for almost 5 months, it was only when I had a service request done that the USCIS realised that although they "sent" the case to california, they actually had just filed it away in Lee's Summit MO at least now these touches mean at least it got there this time!!

    Katie

:-( My reign of touches seems to have ended yesterday. I got nothing today.

  7. Freda and Kaffykat I was touched today too! I've been touched the 5,6,7,8,9 and now the 12th! I do hope that means our approvals are gonna be soon!!

SNAP! I also got a touch today and have had on the exact same dates in the last week. I hope this is leading to an approval. It's kind of like a drum roll, all these touches!

Congrats to those who were approved! I can't believe some are approved LESS than a month after being transferred and someone else got an email from CRIS at 1030PM!
