  1. There is another sub-option :) CNN has this thing called iReport - where you can submit your own story. So if there is a will to do a combined story from a few of us from different parts of the wold - i dont think CNN will be able to ignore it. We could connect the story to the immigration reform that the government is reporting on. http://ireport.cnn.com/

This could also work as a pitch for the CNN journalists to dig dipper into the story. Just a thought.

    :)

Seems like they accept stories with Photos and videos only.

  2. I called the hotline and a Tier 1 (yes really, a Tier 1) officer put in the service request for me. Let me find the post I made about it...

Now, I told her I mailed the petition on 01/11/2014 (which is true), when I made the call it had been 5 months and 5 days since I'd mailed it. I expected her to tell me I was still within normal processing times because it was happening to everyone else that called. All I really wanted to know was what date TSC was up to. I still cannot explain how she did what she did but I didn't question it. I ended up forgetting to ask about what date TSC is up to! Other January people that tried after I did didn't succeed, and I really don't understand how I did. Bless that Tier 1 officer.

In the other TSC threads I read that some Nov and Dec filers were fudging the date they mailed their petition, apparently the reps can't actually tell when you mailed it. I also read that it's not uncommon to receive NOA1 3 weeks after it's mailed in (which is how someone got the bright idea to fudge the date I suppose), so when you call try telling them you mailed it like 12/26 and see if you get a request. It worked quite well for those Dec filers. One filer even put in an online request and "accidentally" put the wrong year they mailed their petition in, like 12/10/13 instead of 12/10/14 and they got an approval in like a week!

Oh, to answer your question, I didn't request an expedite.

How did you talk to tier 1? They don't connect me o tier 1 officers.

  3. Did anyone else gather all the stuff your beneficiary will need for the I-134 while we're stuck here waiting around? I just got all the pieces together and I'm sending it early next week, that way my fiance and turn around and put packet 3 right back in the mail. Now if TSC would quit that bake sale and approve our petitions faster...

That's a great idea. Is there any instruction on this forum, similar to K1 process?

  4. I called today just now!! Surprisingly it only took a couple of minutes to get a live person!

They actually put in a service request for me, here's what happened...

Spoke to Tier 1 officer named Angela, I let her do her whole spiel without interrupting her, answered her basic questions:

    • "Are you the representative or petitioner?"
    • "What form did you file?"
    • "Who did you file for?"
    • "What is your receipt number?"

She told me it was being processed at TSC (dur), then she asked what date I mailed the petition. She looked up the current processing time and told me it was 5 months, she said "5 months means to add 5 months from the date the petition was mailed and that according to what I said my case was in fact outside of the current processing time" (exact wording). At this point I asked to be escalated to a tier 2 officer to put in a service request. She said it was not necessary since she could in fact do it herself. I was surprised because I didn't realize Tier 1 officers could do that, I told her I didn't mean any offense (truth) and she said "not to worry it's a common misconception".

She was able to put in the service request, my service request receipt is SR116114XXXXXTSC. She said to give the service center a minimum of 15 days to respond and a maximum of 30 days to respond. She said I could call back on July 3rd if I heard nothing by then. She was nice to work with, phone call was about 12 minutes total.

Lucky you! My timeline is very similar to you, and I called them just now to put a special service request, and I was told by the agent that they are now processing cases from December 3rd! She said 5 months normal processing datementioned on their site is out dated, and now they are 49 days behind that processing time. That means for us the processing time is now 7 months, and I can only put a special service request after 7 months, or 49 days from now.

Why do they give out different information to different peopel?! it doesn'tmake any sense at all.
