Btw have you seen the new USCIS website like where you log in to check your N400 online, they like redesigned it. It has more tools now and gives you an ETA if your case finalization.

I wonder why it was transferred. Any thoughts?
EDIT: I did a change of address filling AR-11 online and it was completed today but its within NYC. I thought there was only one field office in NYC.

Right? That’s what I’m saying haha. Don’t they do a background check for the 485 and then 751? Maybe they start from scratch everytime which doesn’t make too much sense

Some take longer than others---my status updates changed within a couple of days of each other (see my timeline below). Your mileage may vary

But is it normal that it takes that long to go from biometrics complete to in line for interview? Yours took 6 days haha mine its been almost a month.

Hi guys,
I had my biometrics done July 30th and my ELIS online status changed to Biometrics complete on july 31st. What’s the next step or update? I keep getting these emails every 2 weeks saying that my case is still being reviewed, that there’s are no updates and that last action taken was 07/31 (biometrics complete).
Shouldn't I receive the in line for interview email or something like that?

How do you call the Service Centers?? Tier-2 officer is the next level of "customer service" when you call the USCIS number. Like an officer supervisor.
They have access to more info and are able to contact service centers.

It's an internal move and I don't think they will let you know. They only send you a notice when they transfer in connection with high workload. It sounds weird that you have already been scheduled for the interview because while you're under normal processing times you are in common line. When everyone starts getting their GC and you don't, that's when you can say your case is held for further review and that's when you can expect RFE or interview. They don't necessarily send you RFE before interview. Also I know that they like to say that you're scheduled for interview even if you're not. I don't know why. It's hard to understand what is really going on there. Maybe now everyone gets invited for an interview and that is why it takes so so so long.
Honestly it makes no sense at all. They are so vague when you get transferred to a tier-2 officer, some of them will really try and help but the majority will just skip the effort and take the next call.
I called on friday and she said my case was still being processed and no decision was made yet, yesterday I called again and the officer said "have you received a letter yet?" I'm like no... He's like because you're in line for an interview, but he wasnt able to tell me if a letter was actually generated for an interview or he was just assuming because once I asked whats the last status he sees, he said that is pending consideration.
So what happens inside VSC? It's a mystery...

Your I 751 and the N400 files were put together and, therefore, youll have one interview for both, at your local office. That's what I think.

Yes, but I applied for the N-400 2 days ago. and my file I-751 was under officer review since a week and a half ago so I don't really understand what's going on haha

I'm just confused as why the officer said I was pending adjudication and also in line for interview without RFE.. strange
Does my case need to be transferred to my local office before scheduling an interview? as of last thursday it was being under review by an officer in VSC.

So I called again to check on my I-751 and they said i’m in queue for an interview but also pending adjudication? Either the Tier-2 officer is confused or I don’t know. I haven’t received a RFE or anything.
I’m so confused...
