Etihaad airways pre clearance is a pain in the neck even for us citizens which is why I never travel through them.. Make sure you leave time between your flights 3 plus hours because people end up missing flights often. And only your hand carry will be with you if you're transferring . I would still suggest you travel via. Qatar Airways or Emirates if it's a first time, I don't know why ABU DHABI Poe has become overly strict. All the best!

Guys a quick question.. How long does it take for NVC to send your file to the embassy? I received the interview date on Friday for my husband and the interview is in 3 weeks.. Status still shows at NVC. Any idea guys? This is for Islamabad, Pakistan embassy.

Hi, my husband also used to live in the UAE for two years.. He moved back to Pakistan now and during the NVC process I needed his uae certificate but when I checked online it said they do not give it to you if you are not a resident therefore this requirement can be waived. Hope this helps!! Also you can print out a copy of that sheet of what it says on their website and attach it to your package as proof so the CO can see it as well.

Hey I have a question.. For page 9 on the i864 for preparer information if you don't have one is it okay if I put n/a just for 3a) and all the rest below like 3b, 3c would correspond to that?? How did you all do that section if you had no preparer? Please help!!

I couldn't stop crying yesterday when I saw that... I hope I hear this congratulations very soon.. Please remember is on your Duas.. I have called 7 times yesterday (literally,lol) all the reps told me it was just the form for my joint sponsor for i864 that I have to correct part 3 number 7 and told me everything was fine except that I said are you sure they said yup just that form for him.. I would wait the only problem is because I leave I can't really even wait for the mail so inshaAllah I have faith in ALLAH I will just send it out today praying for the best they all told me it was JUST the i864 for my joint sponsor.. I did have 01 on other forms but apparently that was cleared.. I think this is just an excuse for th to delay process... I hope this is resolved very soon and checklists are cleared quicker than 60 days

I did the same thing on the I-864EZ. Is that the only reason for your checklist? They say to not leave any box empty so you fill a box and then it's a mistake. That is complete nonsense. I would call and speak to a supervisor.

My scan date is 11/17. Should I send an updated form with this correction since I still have time before they start to review my packets or will that just confuse them? Anyone else have experience with this particular piece of insanity?

Did you write a 01 instead of 1? If you did I would suggest you correct it now instead of waiting 60 days... I asked to speak to a supervisor they said the review takes 40 something days... So if the supervisor still said no I would still have to send the corrected form.. So they suggested I send yeh corrected one now if the supervisor agrees it's okay then luckily it'll be all good if he says no I need to fix it then my 60 days time will ne rolling regardless cause I would have sent the corrections in... They said it's a legal contract and you're not supposed to put 01.. You know what's funny on my i864 and my dad's part i864a we have 01 but that was okay but still checklisted on my joint sponsors i864.. This is ridiculous..

Still shows Paid! It doesn't always change.. I guess they are to busy to update the system. no emails, no change in site only found out through calling this morning..

Guys is it really necessary to wait for checklist email if they have told you on the phone.. I know millionth time asking but really going crazy trying to make sure it's okay before I leave the country this week... Reps said I can use old bar code sheet.. Suggestions please!! I have my corrected package ready to send out tomorrow but want to make sure again with my fellow VJ friends if it's okay to just send it without that email.. Thanks for the help guys!! So here is an update on my situation, Our 60 day notice was given Oct. 3 and I gave the NVC a call on Friday and they gave us a checklist that we forgot to add in the i864a for both of my parents which are helping sponsor me. She said that after the corrections are scanned in that a new 60 day waiting period will start. We sent out the corrections through expedited shipping this morning. Does it usually take another full 60 days? What timeline are we looking at for the interview?

This is getting ridiculous though, things seem to be moving so slow, Praying for everyone's case to move along

The same thing happened to me today.. I just called and got checklisted because I wrote "01" for people being sponsored instead of just "1" can they get any more ridiculous.. I corrected that mistake today and my new i864 is ready to go...did u have to wait for the email or u just sent it without the email?? I'm going to expedite ship mine out tomorrow

Its a ugly feeling. I called again today to confirm the 2 mistakes. Rep advise to wait for checklist email to resumbit with correction. She said I should get it Wednesday or Friday. I have read others are advice to send with old aos barcode sheet. What should I do? What do you mean your case will b close in Jan?

I also just called NVC rep told me I can send in the corrected mistakes with old AOS barcode sheet.. What do you plan on doing I do want to send it in ASAP.

Just got off the phone with NVC... Spoke to Sonia in the spanish dept and she confirm CASE COMPLETE AS OF 9/18 omg I can't even type!!!!! Status never change to n/a

Hi guys.. I just called NVC and I was just checklisted.. Scan date October 2.. They told me the mistake was on Part 3 number 7 for my co sponsor,,, I just looked and the question is Enter the total number of immigrants you are sponsoring on this form from items 1 through 6... On my copy it says 01... My husband is the only one who is being sponsored. How am I checklisted if it says 1!??? I wanna break into tears my flight is this Sunday and I wanted to e there for the interview.. I can't help but stop crying...

And TheBig9s calculation was def. correct although I am checklisted... He said I would hear something november 13- november 24.. And here's the answer... Don't know what I should do now?!!

You will have to wait for the email it'll have the instructions and you can attach the sheet they give you . What was your last scan date??

I'm freaking out the most

My scan date for both AOS and IV is 26th september. I called them friday morning and they said that they'll review it soon and I should call them again on monday.

It's okay you'll hear good news very soon next week. Crossing fingers for us.. Well I'm freaking out more bc I leave next week (before my 60 days) and God Forbid I were check listed idk what ill do!.. Which is why I was hoping to hear something soon.. that way even if I were I would atleast be able to take care of it. And 26th you'll def hear something very soon I'm excited for you, you're almost there!!

Ahhhh I'm freaking out.. Still no update on mine either with October 2 scan date... 10/3 is your scan date just like mine that's what the letter say go by that.... I got the same email but on 10/6

Hi guys!! I need a little help here. So I am currently adding a joint sponsor in my AOS. Because I was in school for tax years 2011,2012,2013 I had no come. My cousin who is the joint sponsor sent me, biographic page of his passport, last 3 years tax returns, last 3 years k1 and a w2 from 2012. Do I still need his tax transcripts?? And what would I need to add on my behalf I was dependent with my mom and dad. Also my cousin is married so his wife is on his returns but she had no income. Do I need her to fill out the i864a and add a copy of her passport page or it isn't necessary? Please help me out with this! Thanks

Thank you so much for the help. Just got my AOS fee today which I just paid. Now getting my I-864 package is there any link or anything to guide me on what or how to get the package ready (keeping joint sponsor in mind)
