  1. It took 23 days for your I-130 to be approved. what's the secret?

My I-130 was approved july 14th, shipped July 22nd, and was arrived Aug 4th, and then was assigned # the 15th.

So, it took 9 business days to arrived and 9 business day to assign a number for the case and invoice.

You should expect somewhere around that.

Thanks! I did try calling them and like I said no case received yet. Just hoping to get a case number soon so I can get my AOS documents ready. And the reason it was approved in 23 days was because I requested an expedite based on humanitarian conditions. Wish I could do that for NVC :(

  2. We got our NOA2 (snail mail) today. Last week my husband called USCIS and requested to expedite our case for Humanitarian reason. Our lawyer got a letter it was denied but then when i checked our case status after 7 days,it says its on POST DECISION ACTIVITY and its approved July 22. We just got the approval letter in mail today. :)

Congratulations! I have also requested an expedite on humanitarian reasons as well and got my NOA2 approval yesterday.. Keep us posted on the NVC steps now!

  3. Hi everyone.

Im just wondering what does priority date means?my priority date is june 19,2014,same as the date when they recieved our file.

Priority date is like when your file has gone into the process of other filers. Example if you call them to ask about your case they would look your approval up by priority date because they don't tell you anything unless you are out of the processing times.

  4. Yea thats the one. Im the beneficiary.thats really weird.you are a US citizen.ur not supposed to have an alien number.i mean u dont have to,coz ur a citizen.when is ur noa1 and which service center?

I'm not sure either why I got that message only 7 days after my NOA1. My PD is July 1st 2014 and I was directly sent to Nebraska Service Center which is apparently the "slowest" right now :(. I don't know what it means but I hope it's something good!

  5. Hello. Have u been to US before? We have the same service center, Nebraska. I gave them my alien registration number and i didnt get an email from them about it.our noa1 is june19,2014. When did u get the email about ur alien number?since u got the noa1

I'm a US citizen so I'm not sure why I got the email for alien registration number has been changed. I applied for my husband who is overseas known as the beneficiary and I heard that it is the number assigned to your spouse when he/she comes here.

  6. Hello fellow June filers!!! I knew this journey takes some time, thought I was prepared for it before we sent in our I-130. Now I'm so anxious and keep checking my case status everyday. Already going ahead of ourselves preparing NVC documents (sigh).

    Any experiences!!! cheers!!!

Good luck!! Keep us updated on your case! I also got sent to Nebraska.. And 7 days later got this weird email stating my alien registration number has been changed and has been in "initial review" so not sure what that means yet!

  7. Hello fellow visa journey users! Another month is here, and since I myself will FINALLY be filing in this month I tried looking for a thread for June 2014 filers but since there wasn't one yet, here it is! So to all those filing for their I-130 here is the place to ask and discuss anything and everything! Wishing everyone a quick journey through this process! Let the waiting games begin :)

  8. Hi there! There's a great wiki on here that'll help a ton with filing your I-130. I've also included a link to the processing stats for different service centres. Enjoy!

Thank you so much! I'm trying to get my packet together one by one and I'm trying to keep myself from having panic attacks about processing times slowing down again :(. Any status updates on processing times as of now? I heard that Nebraska was the quickest so far but I'm not too sure, how long are they taking now to process cases? I checked for last years may-june filers and saw it took them 9-10 months for their I-130 approvals and just seeing that gives me more panic attacks! Crossing fingers we all get out NOA2 approvals quickly!

  9. Hi Zeba, I dont think U need to send in copies of your passport for that. Just copy of Natz Cert. should be good. They want proof of your citizenship.

where did you have your interview for N 400? Holtsville? and when? I am scheduled for oath ceremony on may 20th @ central islip court.

I had my interview on April 29th also in Holtsville unfortunately I still did not get any letter for my oath yet :( I checked on the uscis tracker with my receipt number and it still shows the same status that my letter was sent out for interview processing etc etc. I'm not sure how much longer they will take to schedule me but im crossing my fingers they do it soon. The officer did mention to me it'll be in central islip court and that they were sending out letters for oath dates for mid may.. now that you told me you have your oath on may 20th, with no letter received yet im guessing I wont be in for may which sucks! When did you have your interview and get your oath letter? I don't know what's taking them so long.

Also will you apply for your passport during the ceremony or do it separately? Are you also planning on applying for the I-130 as well, if so do keep me posted!
