  1. Hi all,

I sent my I-751 application with all supporting evidence back at the end of october. I received the letter for the bio-metric appointment for december 12, however I did not receive the extension letter, which I understand is the standard letter USCIS sends you as well.

Can someone advise if this is fine, or should I contact USCIS to inquire about this.

  2. Thanks,

Not sure exactly how I would go about doing this.

I will follow this topics instructions on how to create her cover letter and evidence to send in the packet.

In the part of the form where it asks for the husband's (Petitioner) information, can I simply leave all those questions blank? Do I fill out what she knows? since she might not know all of his personal information.

    Thanks again for any help!

  3. Hi All,

A friend of mine got her temporary green card based on marriage. She is due for her removal conditions this june, however the marriage didn't work out, and they each went their separate ways.

She never had a joint account or bills together with her husband, she does have tax returns and a 2016 health insurance card and pictures, but that is about it as proof of the marriage.

My question is, she does not have a divorce certificate, since they only started the divorce procedures  a month or two ago, right now I believe they are in child support negotiations and lawyer stuff.

She is going to submit the I-751, but we're not sure how to go about handling the divorce part of it, since they are not yet divorced. Will it suffice to submit the letter from her husband's lawyer with his conditions?

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you.

  4. Hi all,

My fiancee received her biometrics appointment notice for next week, however I have some confusion about the photo Id they are requesting, because I see contradicting information on their site and from people's comments.

According to their website only US issued photo ids are valid, however my fiance does not have any US issued ID other than her visa, which expired last month.

Her non-US passport is still valid, she also has a Social Security card and our wedding certificate. Are these valid forms of ID?

I have tried calling USCIS phone number, but that is a maze of prompt and answering machines, after a couple of hours on hold, I just gave up.

    Thanks for any help

  5. Can somebody advise, if staples or some kind of binding is needed on any part of the packet other than the pictures in plastic bags being stapled to a piece of white paper?

Two of the six passport photos suffered a minor accident, they have a dimple from a pen falling on them in the back, do I need to get new photos?

Don't have DS-3025 Vaccination Documentation Worksheet only the I-693, I have seen both listed on some posts, Is this a must?

    Thank you.

  7. Hi all,

Can somebody please help with question 20 part 6 of I-864. So, I did not work 2013 therefore no return, I know I have to supply an explanation and attach it to my form.

Do I need to check the check box for question 20 though? Since it is only one year out of the three that I would be missing a return for.

I think I do have to check it, but I am not 100% confident, I have read the form instructions and there is no mention about question 20, and if it refers to all three years.

    Any help is greatly appreciated.

  8. Hello,

I am trying to understand the I-131 form, what I need to file for my wife along with the AOS package is some kind of parole document that will give her the ability to re-enter the US if she travels abroad. The I-131 and all the examples I've found have a date of trip, but we don't have a date when she will travel, if she does. We just need it in case she has to travel.

I hope my explanation is clear, if not please feel free to ask any questions.

    Thank you.

  9. Thanks for all that information, sorry about the confusion. I am already married, so I guess the misspelled name is in the marriage certificate.

The county clerk is not the most charismatic person I've come across under any circumstance, so I don't think that pressing her would help my cause. I tried asking for it as delicately as possible, but she got really defensive and snappy.

In any case, I am really hoping for the correction to come through before Jan 12, so I can submit the paperwork.

    KayDeeCee,

Is there any official documentation that I can read about, not having to file for AOS before the 90 days of my wife entering the US?

  10. Hello,

I need to submit my fiance's packet until Jan 12 as per the date they marked on her passport at the time of entry. However I went to get a certified copy of my marriage license, only to find that they made a clerical error and misspelled my name.

The clerk, mentioned that it could take up to a month to get the correction done, which would be no good for me. What are my options at this time?

Can I send my misspelled certified copy if I can't get the correction on time?

Thanks before hand for any help.

  11. Hi,

I am about to send in my fiance's packet for AOS, however her vaccination records are not complete. All she has proof of are two vaccines, for men and women between ages 15 and 49.

Is this enough proof that she has the earlier vaccines, or does she need to come up with the earlier vaccination records?

What if we can not get one before we send in the packet, or at all?

    Really need some help here.

    Thanks

  12. Thanks for that responses, but I am still unsure if changing her name will be worth the trouble.

For example, let's say she does change her name and her green card has her married name (Mrs fname x). However in the passport, since it is her countrie's passport she still has her maiden name (Ms fname y).

Wouldn't this bring complications, at the time of arrival into the US, and customs sees that she has two different names?

  13. Hi All,

My fiance is on a K1 visa, and we got married last week, I need to know if she should start using her new last name or still use her maiden name in the applications to change her status.

Also, I told by my township clerk that the certified marriage license does not have her married name, only her maiden name, which gives her the permission to change her name to whatever she want, this doesn't sound right to me. Is she correct or does the marriage certificate need to show her new name, or is there another process I need to do in order for here to change her maiden name?

    Thanks for any help!
