  1. When ur i-130 is approved they dont really process the i-129f.

In my case both of them were approved n when I talked to the NVC they told me there was no timeframe for the 1-129f, they couldnt give me any info or anything...

At the end, the i-130 moved forward n I never heard about my i-129f again.

Ur best bet is just to wait for the approved i-130 to get to NVC (about 2-3 weeks) n wait for the case number (2 weeks) - It was a month from USCIS approval to NVC case #, in my experience.

  2. Hello Everyone!

So my husband's interview is Oct 14th in Managua, Nicaragua, and I am going to be with him. We want to find a hotel close to the embassy... any suggestions?

Oh and I have another question... My case was expedited, and the embassy emailed us with the interview... it's not an "official" letter, do I just print that out and the p4 they sent us? or do i need to request an "official" letter to be able to go into the embassy?

    Thank u!

  3. When I was at USCIS this message came when they touched my file. But an approval did not come soon after, it took like 2-3 months after that for them to approve me.

My petition was at Nebraska and it took a little over 6 months to be approved.

I had heard people getting approved soon after that email too, then I got all happy n expected my case to be approved, but as I said above, the approval took a longer time to come.

That said, every case is different... n I hope u get approved soon, just dont get all excited n then be disappointed, this whole process is about patience n waiting...

    Good luck!

  4. Caryh,

The Haemophilus influenzae type B vaccine is not the same as a seasonal flu vaccine

Haemophilus influenzae type b vaccine prevents meningitis (an infection of the covering of the brain and spinal cord), pneumonia (lung infection), epiglottitis (a severe throat infection), and other serious infections caused by a type of bacteria called Haemophilus influenzae type b.

So no, the flu vaccine is NOT listed on the website I provided. Maybe it is not listed because is seasonal?

    http://www.cdc.gov/Vaccines/vpd-vac/hib/default.htm

The seasonal flu vaccine protects against the influenza viruses that research indicates will be most common during the upcoming season. Traditional flu vaccines (called trivalent vaccines) are made to protect against three flu viruses; an influenza A (H1N1) virus, an influenza A (H3N2) virus, and an influenza B virus. In addition, there are flu vaccines made to protect against four flu viruses (called “quadrivalent” vaccines). These vaccines protect against the same viruses as the trivalent vaccine and an additional B virus.

    http://www.cdc.gov/flu/protect/keyfacts.htm

The Haemophilus influenzae type B vaccine is bacterial

    The flu vaccine is viral

I was just reading about it... so I hope I am right, and if I'm not maybe someone can let me know. :)

from your link. Now is that the influenza listed in the DS-3025 or not? I think they like to make this part difficult to understand. If you follow on to the CDC site, you'll find they list influenza as being required during the flu season.

  5. I'm going by what it says on the website, but if you are still unsure maybe you should contact the embassy and ask them directly?

or maybe get the influenza vaccine and talk to the doctor who did your medical and let him/her know you now have it and would like him to add it to the vaccine record?

so i won't have a prob with it at the interview or when im entering the US?

  6. Some vaccines you cant get because they are not age appropriate....

She checked the blanket waiver, which right there explains that "vaccination(s) not medically appropriate" - which means they can't give them to you.

But it says you are eligible for the waiver, so I wouldn't worry about it. It was probably a vaccine you don't need because of your age.

Dont over think it, the doctors know what they are doing. You should be fine :)

Oh and about the Influenza vaccine, look on the this page, it tells you what you need... Influenza is not one

    http://www.uscis.gov/news/questions-and-answers/vaccination-requirements

hi guys. yesterday i did the medical part of the whole k1 process, testings in the morning and a doc visit afternoon. i brought my vaccination card to the doctor visit and she wrote all the vaccines ive had on this form she had to fill and then give back to me so i take it with me to the embassy for the interview. so as she was copying the vaccines from my vaccination record to that form, i asked her if there were any vaccinations that are missing and she said no. but then i got home and looked at the form she filled and the picture below is what i saw, and im kind of confused. what do u guys think? am i reading this wrong somehow or what...

  7. she says this time it is final ,,she filed before last april,,and she said she wont go and the case will be dismissed on her own ,,yes in my state she say's no need for me to sign ,,they sent me a copy at the first time last april but nothing this time i don know if it is the same case or not ,,she says neither one of us can get a copy now

should i apply now for removal of conditions or waiver or i wait for my GC to expire ?

the question is ,,should i go for a waiver right after i get final divorce if she already did or i wait till my GC to expire?

    Sasafan,

You need to be SURE if you are divorced or not... don't ask her about it, because clearly she is being sneaky about things. Like another person suggested, go to the court house and find out what is going on. Until you have a definitive answer you won't know what to do.

When you find that out, I believe you file the waiver before your GC expires...

Anyone who knows more about this, please correct me if I'm wrong.

  8. In my opinion your wife might be just saying that to scare you and keep you under her control... Dont let her play with your emotions and your head. Divorcing someone takes more time than that, and I dont think they can do it without your knowledge...

If she really wants to divorce you, you should get a lawyer. Make sure you have all the evidence needed for when you file your removal of conditions.

  9. Hello Vivian,

Write a letter to NVCExpedite@state.gov explaining your situation. Scan and attach PDFs of any proof you have (ex. medical note, ER note, etc).

On the subject line of the email write: URGENT. EXPEDITE NEEDED. CASE #.....

In the email you should also include Case #, beneficiary name n date of birth, petitioner name n date of birth. And provide 2 local phone numbers where the beneficiary can be reached.

The NVC will forward this to the embassy, and email you saying your request is under review. Then, the embassy (depending on their work load) will email the NVC with an answer. When the NVC gets an answer, then they will email you with the answer.

    Good luck!

Hey everyone! I have a question. My father got in a motorcycle accident last week and I am very worried about him. My husband and I would like to expedite my case to go back home and help him. He is single, and all my brothers are too little to take care of him. Am I able to expedite my case? Do I need some kind of proof to expedite?

  10. The joint sponsor should send the papers to whoever is sending the whole package to the NVC.

Example: I am the USC and I am sending all the papers from the US in behalf of my husband. My dad is my joint sponsor and my mom is a household member (we are using her income too form I-864a). So they signed the forms, and gave them to me, then I sent them to the NVC.

Make copies of all the forms. When the NVC gives you case complete, they will send your whole file to the embassy. So the embassy will have what you sent to the USCIS and what you sent to the NVC. That means that your spouse doesn't have to bring another I-864 to the interview.

You should always make copies though, in case the NVC sends you a checklist, and you need to verify what you sent them.

You should go to the NVC website and look up your country, it will tell you what she will need at the interview (usually pictures, chat logs, prove of money sent to her, and so on).

    I hope this helps :)

  11. I called today and they told me my expedite was approved but I don't know what to do if keep going with the NVC process or what my lawyer says to continue and send NVC papers.

Do NOT send ur papers to the NVC. I sent mine, my scan date is 8/21, my expedite was approved a few days after that... the NVC told me they wont send my papers because they didnt have the 60 days to look at them... so now I have to get all new documents... When the embassy gets ur case, they will directly send u instructions on what to do.

  12. No I didn't expedite but I just got that email and it looks like my fiance needs to fill that out since it asks for all of her information and such. But shouldn't I receive a letter or something and shouldn't she be sent a letter and instructions by mail from the embassy? All very confusing

Yea, def. confusing... I hope you can find the answer! sorry I cant be of more help.

  13. I also got this VIA Email

Well that website is to schedule your appointment, I believe...

    Did you expedite?

Maybe it is possible they did get it that fast.

I would just email the embassy. And def go on the website and explore, see if you can schedule your interview.

  14. Kinda Confused at this, checking the status at first it said "At NVC" on the 9th, then it switched to "In Transit" on the 10th for about 12 hours, then it was switched to "Ready" and this message appeared below it....... no way it made it to the consulate in that short of time in pretty much less than a day since it takes about 6 days when I mail things...... can anyone maybe shed some light on this?

    Status: READY

    Immigrant Visa Case Number: *********

    Case Creation Date: 09-Sep-2014

    Status Updated Date: 11-Sep-2014

Your case is ready for your interview when scheduled at the U.S. Consular section. If you have already scheduled an appointment for an interview, please prepare your documents as directed in your appointment letter and appear at the consulate on the appointed date and time. Otherwise, please wait until you have been notified of your interview appointment. Additional information about how Immigrant Visa interview appointments are scheduled can be found at:http://travel.state..../info_3731.html

When it says Ready it is because the embassy has it. You will probably get an email from the embassy soon.

If you are impatient then you should just email the embassy and ask them :)

  15. Does NVC gets the request or the embassy , I did call them but they can't tell me if they have my request or not !!!

    You should call NVC.

I sent my request on Aug. 15

Re-sent my request again on Aug. 20

Got the "under review" email on Aug. 22

Called NVC Aug. 25, they told me I was approved

Got approved email on Aug. 28

Case arrived at the embassy on Sept. 9

Got hard copy of expedite approval in the mail today Sept. 11

All depends on how fast your embassy responds. Luckly the embassy in Nicaragua was super fast.

If it has been like a week or so since you sent the request, re-send it.

Make sure it goes to NVCExpedite@state.gov

On the subject line write: URGENT. EXPEDITE NEEDED. CASE # .....

The request goes to the NVC, the NVC sends it to the embassy, the embassy reviews it and then sends an answer to the NVC. Then the NVC sends you an email back saying if you were approved or not.

  16. I thought it wasn't possible to expedite the fiance visa...am I mistaken?

    Emily,

To be honest, I'm not sure... I just assumed you could. Maybe someone else can answer that?

    --------

Your fiance can visit you without worrying. You can check your case status on the USCIS website. And if you sent the Form G-1145, Notification of Acceptance of Application/Petition, they will send the NOA2 to your email and then you get a hard copy in the mail too.

  17. i haven't got my reponse back yet. :( they're taking forever now.

  18. Hello Everyone,

So I was wondering if ANYONE could shed some light on the issue I am having...

While awaiting for an answer from NVC on my expedite, one of the reps I talked to instructed me to send the AOS and IV packages asap; which I did.

After a few days, my expedite was accepted by the embassy, and when I asked about my packages, they told me that I shouldn't have send them because they cant go through all the cases they have to just find my papers....That I had to wait 60 days for them to send me back the documents, and that I should wait for the embassy to contact me because the NVC wasn't responsible for my case anymore.

I read another case in this forum, where they told the person they couldn't process their expedite without the AOS and IV packages, so they had to send them to the NVC.

Did the NVC send my papers to the embassy? do I need to get new papers for the interview?

Has anyone been through this? or heard about a similar situation?

The embassy finally got my case today. They sent me packet 4... which says that my husband doesnt have to present the AOS package if it was sent to the NVC... but what about the IV package?

I emailed them back asking about this, but I probably wont hear from them right away.

    Can anyone please help me?

    Thanks in advance!
