Sorry about my confusion but is this in case someone wants to change their name after being naturalized or does everyone need to go change their immigration status with the SS Office?

I believe Name change or no, once you get your naturalization certificate you are supposed to update your citizenship status at

    bank

    dvm

    social security

in my case I’m not changing my name.

In my case, they asked me to update the SNN first and after 24 hours later I can update my driver license. I did exactly the same they told and everything was smooth. Let try to update your SNN first and then updating your driver license. Goodluck my friend

Thank you very much , I will try it early tomorrow. I can’t even find a case online on save check using the save case number I was giving . Will definitely let you know how it went .

    manu thanks.

  3. Glad to see that everyone is mostly done . Quick question.

I went this morning to try to update my driver license ( 3 weeks later after getting my certificate) and the agent told me my citizenship status couldn’t be verify. She gave me form called «  Save verification customer notice » and told me that the immigration will contact me .

She did mention that it might be because I’m using my certificate whit them for the first time ( didn’t make much sense to me because you are supposed to bring it in the first ).

Regardless I am going to social tomorrow and see what happen , the whole thing got me stressing a little bit.

Anyone heard of anything similar please?

Thank you very much to everyone in this forum , I got some great help and tips following your journey.

I applied in January 2018 based on a 3 years mariage already got my 10 years great card in August 2017.

My interview in Atlanta was in January the 8th. Went whit my husband but the officer said she didn’t need him.

went in got sworn in and was ask question’

     - Longest river

    - how many senator are rhey

    - capital of my State

    - who is the president

    - who is the Vice President

    - what is an amendment.

read how many senator are they

write : they are one hundred Senators.

then she went over my applications and asked me all the yes and no question ( fun fact I was answering to some of them whitout letting her finish the sentence so she smile and ask me to wait and listen to them first).

she asked to give her any proof that I’m still currently married

I grouped all my proofs by categories and adresses of the past 4/5 years.

    - bills

    - insurance ( health and cars)

    - Bank statements

    - documents require on the letters husband birth certificate etc...

she then made a copy of my green card , passport and Id

told me she would recommend me for approval and when I left I look online and was approved.

Oath ceremony schedule for next week saw the letter online the following day.

note: even tho I had proof from 2013 ( 3 of each categories per years) seems like she mostly wanted to see recent proof, went over our bank statement and asked what payments was made in that account .

i wish everyone got luck and thank you all for you help.

Also had all our lease together whit my name on them .

  6. 🎉🎉  Yes!! Finally some movements in Atlanta, finger crossed I will get mine too soon . When is your interview scheduled please? November or December? Also a January filer , sent a message today on my uscis profile online and they sent me the same messages they sent in June “your information was enter in the system that schedule interview at your local office , you will be notify once a spot become available “ they already told me that in June. So you are giving me hope! Congrats again .

  7. Congratulations to everyone!

Anyone in Georgia got an update please? Last time I checked (a month ago when the website was having a glitch) i was told my information was entered into the system that schedule appointent, since then nothing . Married for 5 years, apply whit my 10years green card already in hand and apply online. Really thought it will be faster

So something really weird happened on my USCIS account today. This morning i got a text saying there was activity on my case! I got super excited and logged in to see what it was but the update was for my Form 751 to remove conditional status on my green card. What's weird is that my conditional status was already removed and I got my permanent 10-year green card back in September 2017! And the update itself, even though i got it this morning, said

"On September 18, 2017, the Post Office delivered your new card for Receipt Number WAC1708150362, to the address that you gave us. The tracking number assigned is UNAVAILABLE. You can use your tracking number at www.USPS.com in the Quick Tools Tracking section. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address."

Has anyone else witnessed this? Is it possible that there was an actual update to my N-400 application but the system is just messing up and I'll get to see it on my account in a day or so?

Just got the exact same thing happening to me last night and have the same question.

    @Lui&Moi

Ahh, cool. Congrats. When you filed, did it give you an estimate waiting time for fingerprinting..? Mine said 31 days when I applied (now it's 30), so I was wondering if it will shorten.. fingers crossed.. :D

Thank you for your answer for my 2nd question also. Right now, I only have the NOA letter, and not the fingerprinting appointment letter. I wonder if I can still show up..!? Thank you so so much!

Yes I had the 30 days estimate wait but it came way earlier. it was a Saturday morning the week I applied and the actual Biometric PDF show up on Monday Afternoon. The letter arrived by mail Yesterday 😅. Give it few more days .

My estimate completion time was first 16 months , then moved back to 13 month right after Biometric and now it says 12 months . I applied  30th of January , and got my Biometric message on Saturday the 2nd of February . It should come fast.

Apologies if this has been discussed before.. I'm a newbie here..

How did you walk-in for fingerprinting without an appointment? I'm in the NYC area.

I've been a GC holder since 2006. Does that help or change the speed of the process!?

    Any input appreciated :)

Hey there from my 2 years condition green card I always did early walk in . In Maryland , Jacksonville FL and now Atlanta. I just print it out and go there if they ask me a question I will say I have work or class and please ask if I can be seen earlier. But I also make sure to be there like 15 minutes before they open .

Quick question for you guys Jan 2018 filers. (I just filed on Feb 7, 2018).

It looks like most of you got the fingerprint appointment fairly fast. On my case status online, it says my waiting time is 30 days for fingerprinting. Could it happen sooner than that!? What did your estimate say!?

    Thanks!

Hello I applied on a Tuesday and my Biometric was schedule on a Saturday like 4/5 days after I applied I guess. And the actual letter show in the system on a Monday Afternoon . I just print in off and went the next day for my Biometric. No questions asked in Atlanta at least.

    Woohoo!

Congrats! If you don’t mind me asking how long between your biometric and your notification of Interview date? Also are you a 5 years or 3? Congratulation again now just focus on your Civics test .

  14. Hello, not sure if there is any thread on this but there you go.

I applied January the 30th 2018 online for my n400 . Marriage based applying on 3 years.

Got my notifications this morning and waiting on my Biometrics appointment.

Might be interesting to see if there is any difference between those that mail their application vs online.

    January 30 th online Filling

January 31th NOA ( online PDF).

  15. Hello,

I qualify to apply for citizenship under the 3 years mariage based green card.
Do I need to provide on the form our past adresses up to 3 years for spouses of US citizens or I still have to fill up adresses for the past 5 years please.
Reason I ask is because I can’t remenber for sure exact months of move in /move out dates if we have to go all the way to 5 years. At least I can’t remenber for sure as I put it when I applied for the removal of Condition (10 years green card).
Can 3 years suffise or I have to follow the form and write 5 years?

     Please Help!

list of things we have since we got married

    - we have health insurance

    - banks statements

-previous life insurance ( when he was in the military)

    -pictures

    -bills under both names

    -tax returns

-traveled to Canada in December together

    and obviously the N400 form.

am i missing something? Do I have to send pictures or just bring them at the interview?

The person on the phone is probably looking at old information. If you got the letter, your I-751 has been approved. (Congratulations!!!)

I-551 is the USCIS code for "green card". If you'd needed the stamp, it would have been equivalent to an I-551 (green card). But you won't need it, because you will get your new I-551 (green card) soon!

The phone operators don't actually know anything, it seems. Sit tight, your card is on the way! Whoopee!!!!

Omg !! Thank you very much , my husband was also saying it was the approval but whoever I got on the phone got me even more confused.

    Just For info :

    - I applied on August 24th 2016

-received the Approval August 26th 2017

    - decision was made August 21th

    - Vermont Center Applicant .

I wish everyone success And I think there should be more movement sooon!!  GOOD LUCk!
