  1. Yesterday CEAC said the status of mine was administrative processing, but now says ready. The passport site still has no information about the visa.

    I has a sad :(

EDIT: Now it says administrative processing again!

    Should I be worried?

Oh no, I wonder what happening?

My attorney said that its really normal for it to be in AP for up to 5 days and to switch between the AP and ready. Maybe they just needed to input a little more info into it?

I'm so sorry its happening for you.

Have you tried the passport checker that Sweets put up further in this post? Try that maybe???

  2. aww :( i'm sure you already know this but make sure you check the details properly on the visa!

We should all just start an Aus-USA food delivery club, we can take turns receiving packages from australia and sending them out to each other in the u.s.

Like name and stuff? I wwouldn't of, im far to excited to actually read things properly! Good point though. Ill make sure I do! So, in the envelope are all of the docs we submitted in there? Im an idiot and Deannas original birth certificate is in with the docs I submitted :/

And yes!! I need Vegemite or ill go crazy!!

  3. lol- we have already organized with Matt's sister that she is going to send Tim Tams and Vegemite regularly! And Gravox. My man loves that gravy. He has tried every kind of gravy over here I think and hates it all. :P

Thats a good point!! I didnt think about the gravy situation!!! Ill have to send a care package to myself before we fly out!!!

Has anyone found any cheap flights? Ive been looking but 1 way looks just as expensive as return.

  4. I had a look at the passport tracker just now and mine says "Passport has been received from the consular section, and is currently being processed for delivery"

I would love to keep in touch! send me your email address and i'll find you on Facebook :content:

EDIT: And I just got Tolls email tracking notice!!!!

How did you get it? Email?

I haven't got an email and that website doesn't recognise my passport number :-(

    Hopefully soon!

It will be tomorrow for sure!

  5. WOOHOO!!! Lemme know when you get your passport or when Toll contacts you?! haha i'm stressing about it's arrival!

I am leaving August 20th, when are you leaving?

I will! I just looked on the passport tracker and it says its being prepared for delivery...

Im looking at the first week of September!! Its so exciting! Hey, ill inbox you my email address and we can add each other on Facebook if you like? It might be nice to be able to have contact with an Aussie who is going through the same changes!!!

I just got an email from the U.S. Consulate saying my visa has been issued and mailed! :o that was FAST!

I checked my CEAC status too, says issued!!!! I dunno how to track the post though cos i payed through US travel docs and there's nowhere on my profile when i'm logged in that has a tracking number. Does anyone know if they use DHL?

YAY YAY YAY!!! I JUST GOT ONE TOO!!! I been beside myself all day and night thinking I wasnt going to get approved or something was wrong so im so so happy now!!! When are you going to leave?

  7. I am glad for the OP..,..,congrats, for sure.,.,.,.,.BUT.,.,.what does that do for TSC petitions.,.,and people holding them.,.,..,..........6-8 months?

And see a post approved in 75 days!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Something.,.,..,.is wrong with USCIS..,.,.,WHO can fix such a broken system!

The CSC should be the norm.,.,.,what about long suffering TSC people???

But, again, a big congrats to the 75 day NOA2.,.,.,hope you are together soon!

Its not a 75 day NOA2, Its 75 days till I got my actual visa.

To be honest I don't care about people waiting at TSC.

You are all so incredibly selfish that you have turned visa journey into a bitter and mean place to be. No one knows or can judge another's situation and you all hear this quick approval and feel so bad for yourselves. Well, we have been waiting for 7 years. I am gay and until last year it was not legal for me and thousands of others to get thus visa. 7 YEARS. Its a little bit linger than the 7 months your complaining about. You chose to enter into a long distance relationship so deal with it. I cannot believe all of you horrible people would come on this happy thread and judge and make it all about your own pity.

  8. We did a practice run today so I knew where the place is! Its actually a little confusing, well the way we went was! im starting to get so nervous. My love booked the most amazing hotel for us tonight so we have beautiful views of the Opera house, were sitting in fluffy robes and about to have pizza delivered to the room! Trying to stay as relaxed as possible and low key tonight! Ahhh. I know I dont need to worry but its hard not to! Good luck everyone and hopefully we get to meet! (I have an 8.30am interview)

  9. Hello,

Congrats on nearly having a baby!!

Are you able to stay with your fiancee for the next 8 months?

You have 2 options, you can file for a K1 (Fiancee visa) which depending on what state and a few other things takes anywhere from 3 months to 1 year or you can apply for a Marriage visa which from what I have been told is 1 year plus.

There will be more experienced members which will be able to give you more specific info.

Either visa will not allow your fiancee/Wife to come with you and wait while the visa is being processed. You are able to stay with your new family while it is pending (My partner did) but there is no way she and the baby are able to travel to stay for more than 90 days (VWP) while visa is being processed.

The K1 is quicker. For example, We filed in May and have our interview in 2 days so I will have my visa and be able to travel to the USA with in 3 months of applying. This is ridiculously fast though. I only had 11 days between sending my NOA1 and getting NOA2 (Not very common) I was processed at the California service center due to where my partner is from.

On the flip side, there are some people who are being processed through Texas who have been waiting 6+ months with no NOA2 yet.

We hired an attorney (which is not needed) to do our application for us and he suggested the K1 as we wanted to be processed quickly.

Where in the USA do you live? I believe where you are processed is dependent on where in the USA you live. This could give you a good indication of how long you may have to wait.

Good luck. I hope your baby arrives quickly and the Visa process is painless for you!

  10. Maybe I am aggressive because I have posted non stop actual VJ information. I just posted actual visas issues ONLY from TSC.

How about you actually look at my posts and links and dispute the facts rather than saying nener nener you are wrong.

Clearly they are not ONLY working on Dec. petitions as I have posted non stop that facts that prove otherwise.

The average wait for VJ users going from NOA1 to NOA2 in the past 3 months is 106 days. I proved it. No one has even tried to dispute my evidence .. they just say I am wrong while admitting my evidence is 100% rock solid.

A few people who are waiting a long time has nothing to do with what the average person can expect. It would be like taking your 11 day wait and saying everyone can expect to wait 11 days .. no .. it's an outlier.

Prove that the MAJORITY of people are waiting 7-8 months for a NOA2 or don't make the claim.

Oh wow, sorry. I didn't realise that you work in statistics for immigration and actually knew the information because you process the applications. Oh hang on YOU DONT. Therefore you actually don't have any ACTUAL EVIDENCE. Nor do you really have any proof. Studying the skewed results from visa journey means NOTHING.

Your NOT an expert, you don't actually know anything and you need to calm down. Your coming off like a crazy person.

I would post the official link to the results that were posted this week stating very clearly that TSC is currently working on DEC applications but I can't be bothered. Your arguments are boring and don't really make sense. Good luck with your interview. Im sure you'll do swell!

  11. Where did I claim there is no difference between CSC and TSC? Can you show me? I flat out said there is a big difference. You just said the Feb filers are done with interviews ... which follows exactly what I have been saying. The people I am disagreeing with are saying feb filers will not get an NOA2 for another 2-3 months, and won't have a visa until next year. Is that what you think is true? You think Feb filers will have to wait until next year for an interview and visa?

She is talking about the CSC people having interviews and the TSC having none. Where is your proof? Is the official report that was released last week stating that they are currently working on dec TSC petitions lying? I have No interest in this topic, My NOA2 was approved in 11 days. But you have a very aggressive tone in your emails and you need to stop giving people false hope. There are hundreds of people on Visa journey complaining about the long processing times. Are they also lying?

  12. Best of luck trying to sneak her, LilSadie, but I fear you will fail. If her name is not on the official list, and you cannot produce the email allowing her to attend, they will NOT let her up. Even as a US Citizen, she still has to make an appointment!

I'm soooo sorry your attorney said not to bring her. My attorney (who specializes in same-sex cases) said it was a GOOD thing for the spouse/fiancee to be there!

    Sukie

I thought that might be the case!!! Our attorney does as well. We got him recommended to us through Immigration equality. He is wonderful but I just don't know why she can't come... weird. Anyway! She gets super nervous so it might be a blessing in disguise!

  13. Slightly nervous, but very excited! I have all of my paperwork ready to go, but I want to go over it one last time on Monday just to be sure!

I live in Sydney so it's easy for me to get to the consulate, but regardless I'll get there early so I can get a coffee beforehand :)

Oh your so lucky! the flights and Hotel cost more than the bloody Visa!!!

My partner is going to go through all the paper work tonight to see how much I need to get rid of lol. I just tried to add the MOST important things though!

Im pissed though, we stupidly went through an attorney in the USA and they have told me not to bring my partner. They said that its not a good thing to do. I TOTALLY disagree with this as I've seen a few people do it with out issues. I'm sad that she will be sitting outside while i have my interview!! I feel like they will think thats stranger than not bring her...

i think ill play dumb when I get to there and try to sneak her in. Cant hurt!

  14. Is that a record on this forum? 11 days. Crazy. I guess you can't complain about 2 month wait for the interview after this super fast approval of NOA2, huh? ;)

    Good luck on the interview!

Its crazy! All up it will be around 80 days from application to visa in hand. Its amazing! Very lucky! We were planning on moving next year so its thrown life into a huge whirlwind!!!
