David-Francinie got a reaction from trublubu2 in Bank of America will not comply with I-134 Requirements
The word statements is being used here in two different meanings. The statement I printed from my account are actual monthly (paper) statements. The requirement of the I-134 is asking for a (written) statement from an officer of the financial institution providing information to the following questions. I understand I'm over the poverty line but it doesn't state that if you meet the income requirements that this is not needed. It simply states that it is required with the affidavit of support so I want to make sure I'm covered.

I know what I would do, close my account and take it to another bank.

I am a lawyer and have done many divorces. This is not a divorce decree, just a certificate that says you are divorced. USCIS is correct. Glad you were able to get an actual decree.
You don't need a certified copy for the USCIS but get one anyway as you will need it for the interview. For USCIS a legible photocopy with translation is good enough.

In our case we submitted the DIVORCE DECREE. This 7 page document contains the decree of divorce along with how the assets are to be divied up. It details any future assets that could be discovered, current assets, joint bank accounts, etc... It sounds like this is the document they are looking for. It appears you have only provided the page that shows the divorce, not the entire DIVORCE DECREE. Good luck and God Bless

She should have gotten it in court... I can not believe she did not provide this for you to file. WHen she divorced, she must have gotten a SENTENCIA DE DIVORCIO... ask her about it and if she has her copy. If not, she needs to go to family court in her city and request a certified copy of the decree (sentencia).
    Hope this helps

    They want two things:
    1) A divorce decree "SENTENCIA DE DIVORCIO" is a document, most likely of many pages that the court gives you outlining the terms and conditions of the divorce, if any settlement happened, properties, and if there were any children in the marriage and
    2) They also need a full translation of the divorce decree, meaning "word by word" translation of the document in English.
What you provided USCIS was just a simple certificate showing that the beneficiary is no longer married and USCIS needs a copy of the divorce decree instead.
