  1. That makes sense.

Right before I got CC, I checked the our embassy calendar and saw that there was nothing available for November except for 2 spots and that was 10/15. The next day, the calendar shows a lot of open spots and that's probably AFTER all the Interview dates given. I think what happens is the consulate/embassy sends out the schedule to the NVC first before releasing the dates to the rest of visa applicants.

So it looks like CCs between 9/15-10/14 should have the November Interview dates and 10/15-11/14 will have December interview dates

It seems that we will have our interviews by December then.

  2. Confirmed, called NVC. Rosa answered after 45 minutes.

CASE COMPLETE AS OF TODAY, SEPTEMBER 30!!!

The reception was poor, but thankfully she didn't hang up. She confirmed case complete, but that interview hasn't been scheduled yet.

All glory and praises to the Lord that NVC was smooth without any checklist. Big thank you to Saylin, this forum members who were helpful in sharing their experiences so I could avoid a checklist and got to give one to the lawyer for partly filling up the I -864 right. After 20 months since this process began, done with NVC. NVC stage took 3 months because we had a lawyer. NVC received both packages on August 7. Best of luck to those waiting for case completes

    Congratulations!

  3. They are both scan dates but since NVC is currently reviewing packages together they may used the August 6 or the 22nd to review your case. Your best bet is to call them cause they are already reviewing the 6th since last Thursday so you may have a cc already.... :)

    Thank you.?

I already called nvc and they have given me the usual 60 days spiel. So I guess I maybe looking at 22nd as my scan date.

  4. Case Complete. Scan date: July 31.

Got a checklist September 24 for document oversight from the reviewer, Hubby called and requested for supervisor review. Supervisor Octavio pulled our file, checked and saw the missing document.

A special thanks to Saylin for all her help and efforts, Saylin you are indeed a blessing. I say a big thank you to all the Vjers here for your help and support. I also pray for those still at NVC stage that you all get thru ASAP.

    Woot! Congratulations!

  5. hi folks,

I follow this thread pretty diligently, and I apologize if this has been gone over--it seems like something that has, and I'm not putting two and two together well. I would really appreciate any feedback :)

We received (yay) an email with subject line of [case number] AIVF for DS-1200, and in it was a pdf instructing us it's time to pay the immigrant processing fee of $230 and to go to ceac to do so. (happy to copy and paste the pdf text directly if needed)

However, when I log in to ceac, the IV fee is *not* available in the payment portal. It still says $0.00 and no checkmark available to select to pay.

Is this a common occurrence, that we'd receive the email for fee notification, but still not have the fee available in the payment portal? It's not so much that I'm antsy (though I am) but more I want to ensure something hasn't gone haywire here.

    thank you! :) :)

    Hello there,

It usually takes a couple of days before the IV payment portal will show up in the CEAC site. In my case, it took 3 days before I was able to pay the IV bill.

  6. Update:

Checked the ceac website for God knows how many times and my IV bill changed back to PAID. I guess NVC have resolved the problem on their portal. Shaujhe check yours to see if NVC have resolved the issue. This process is already a stressful and long process and I hope NVC does not give us a heartbreak and not let this issue repeat itself again.

Just finishing off with printing a copy of the DS 260 confirmation. In the CEAC website, IV status is now PAID and IV applications shows COMPLETED. Thank God.....

I agree with you. I hope this won't happen to us all here again. This whole thing is so stressful. But to everyone here, just keep the faith!

  7. I am applicant of my case. So i can call or only petitioner (my wife) can call and ask NVC ?

    Thanks.

You can call. Just have your case number, beneficiary and petitioners name and DOB ready.

My husband and I arrived this morning at 6:30...4 hours later we were approved! 13 months of waiting, wondering, sometimes doubting. Happy tears today. Thank you all for your cotinued support and now we go into the process of waiting of the actual visa. We did opt for DomEx pickup, and were told not to call until a week from today. So even with the glitch, there still is hope!

Our immigration officer was very kind. She asked about our interests and how I felt the first time I visited. We shared our photos and she asked about how in the future Lorenzo's son would play into things. She certainly put our nerves at ease.

On a side note, after finally receiving our interview date, had returned to the Catholic Church. My faith was tested many times during this process. I will keep attending and keep praying, because really only the first journey has ended...the new one begins now!

Congratulations! This goes to show that prayer is a lot of help. Especially during these trying times.

  8. This is just not right, I guess it will take them another 30business days to review the payment email proof. This is really annoying. They didn't tell my husband that ####. Because if our IV bill wasn't paid, DS-260 won't have unlocked for us. We have filled and submitted DS-260 so they better get themselves to work and fix the problem. Has NVC started experiencing the glitch that was publicized last week? Am calling NVC again.

Please do keep me posted. The last time I checked the portal was last Friday where I was able to fill out 4 pages from my DS260. Then when I checked yesterday, Boom! It's back to IN PROCESS status. I'm really hoping that this is not their strategy so that they can delay our cases and work on those that needs review. My gosh! It seems that every step that we take here has a corresponding issue. Praying that they will have this resolved.

  9. Spoke with NVC rep and she said its 30business days today because AOS was scanned june 13th but the review date started counting from June 16, said I should call back in few days probabaly Wednesday to get update.

Also spoke about my IV bill changing from PAID to IN PROCESS, she said it will be updated back to PAID. {She sounded like she doesn't know what she's saying/doing/not aware of the system}. Hopefully will call back later in the evening if the website does not change, hoping to speak with a reasonable NVC rep. Shaujhe and Yamil any updates or news from NVC rep about your IV bill status?

I just got off the phone talking with an NVC rep. She advised me to email a proof that the amount was already taken out from my husband's bank account so that they can change it back to PAID status. This is really frustrating..... I don't understand how their system works at all. Grrrrr... :ranting:

  10. HAHA, nope. I do have my email open in a tab whenever I'm at a computer as well as another tab open with this thread. So, as soon as I see an email has arrived and it's from VJ, I refresh the VJ tab ;) And since I'm pretty much always on my computer when at home (and for 8 hours at work), well, no rest for me :P

And if only NVC was as quick and efficient as I was  Everyone would be through NVC in a week!

You should be getting paid for this. Hehehe :dancing: We are so grateful that we have somebody named Saylin whose our walking NVCkipedia. Lol!

Hoping NVC could clone you so that it would make everyone's life easier.
