    Try not to freak out.

Often there's a list on the RFE itself that tells you what they want. It's actually good that you can prove all the transfers in and out of your private accounts. Print off both statements and make notes (like "transfer to *husband* for rent" - "transfer from *wife* for phone bill" etc.) You can't send what you don't have, but you can show with your documents (and explain with a letter) how your family's financial setup works for you.

And you can focus on more information of the same type that you sent last time, but for the year and a half since you filed. Another 18 months of statements and leases etc will be good.

And, (although I know this would be a big pain, too) the worst case scenario is that they'll call you in for an interview, and you can both be there in person to "prove" your relationship.

Thank you. We're going to get everything together this week and hopefully send it in. I've been reading fro some other peoples responses that when they submitted for an RFE, they never got an NOA confirming receipt? For those that submitted RFE to Green Card, what was the timeline? RFE to interview?

Thank you to everyone in this forum. You are my sanity.

For me it was, we did have financial issues and what not as he lost his job. Any health insurance? Cars in both names? Personally I think it's common early in a marriage to not have joint stuff but I guess that's what they want, or at least know why.

Yes, I'm including health insurance and car insurance which is in both names, tax transcripts (which were originally submitted too). We gave them our car lease info that was in both names and they said that wasn't good enough - same with the tax transcripts of us filing jointly. I just hope that if everything we provide STILL isn't enough, that we at least get an interview so they can see we are a legitimate marriage.

Definitely send in docs/ copies showing transferring of money. Also a letter stating the reasoning of why you don't have these things. This is what I did (I didn't get an RFE but knew bc of research this is what is wanted). They are going to want to know why your not on the lease, on utilities etc. For me it was because he was already in the place with everything under his name prior to my move to USA.

Thank you. We are on leases together for our old apartment but bank accounts or anything. I will make sure to submit that info with explanation's. No RFE for you, was that evidence sufficient then for them to process your GC? My husband and I are getting so nervous. We know that this is probably common, but we're freaking out.

  4. Hello,

Very excited to see of all the approvals recently. I inquired about our case status as I believed it was outside of normal processing time and we just received an RFE - Request for Evidence to prove that we entered into a Good Faith Marriage. Has anyone else received something like this? I'm stressing out because we have sent in so much proof and documentation already and I'm concerned that they are still requesting more. We don't own any property and don't share our bank accounts as there has never been a need to. We do frequently transfer money to and from each of our accounts to each other if money is ever needed, but we aren't actually listed on each others accounts.

Can anyone else give me any feedback as to how their process went if they got an RFE?

    Thanks so much!

  5. Hello,

My husband is traveling to Australia and is worried about not being allowed back into the country. In 2013 he was denied entry into the US due to him overstaying his ESTA by 14 days. That triggered this whole processes for one year until he asked me to marry him and then the process of applying for his visa began.

He received approval for his green card in September 2014 and came back to the US in October 2014.

We know the I797C says that it serves as a one year extension of his conditional residency, but my husband is still nervous that they may give him a hard time because of the 2013 denial of entry. We have left the country before and have still been let back in, but is GC was not expired yet.

Any guidance or reassurance would be a relief!

    Thank you!

    I-751 filed - 7/27/16

    I-797C NOA - 8/5/16

    Biometrics Appt NOA - 9/24/16

    Biometrics Appt - 10/14/16

  6. Hi everyone,

My husband is expected to come home on October 23rd after almost 2 years of being gone! We are very nervous about POE though? Does anyone have any experience or knowledge of being refused entry on a CR1 visa? After my husbands first attempt at an E2 visa was denied, he tried to come back on an APPROVED ESTA, but was sent back home after a 10.5 hr hold in customs in LAX. They told him to go back to Aus and come back with a B1/B2 visa. He was denied that visa, then tried again for his E2, but again denied due to lack of investment (over 100k, btw), which is when we began our process for our CR1. One of the reasons he was denied his B1/B2 was because he was coming to invest more in his business and he had overstayed his ESTA by 14 days the last time by accident. The consulate was all very aware of all of this and interviewed him on it as well, and approved his CR1 visa.

But like I said, we are terrified that he will get refused entry when he comes home on this VALID visa. Are we freaking out or do we have actual legitimate reason to worry? He has no criminal record, isn't involved in any illegal activity, and he is coming on an approved CR1. Anyone with any guidance or advice, please help!

    Thank you!

  7. Hi everyone! Happy to report that my husband had his interview today and was approved!!

Thank you to everyone in these forums. You all have been a lifeline and this is the best support system anyone could have asked for! I will update with how the interview when I get to actually talk to my husband without screaming from joy. Good luck to all of you! And I will update or experience through POE!

  8. Hi Everyone,

Does anyone have any experience with an Embassy saying they have not recieved any documents from NVC yet? Our case was expedited on August 12 and NVC shipped out our documents on August 13th. Using the DHL tracking tool, I saw that our case was delivered on August 18th to the Sydney Consulate

My husband and I have been emailing back and forth with the emabssy and last week he was told to get his medical. However, after getting his medical, he emailed again wondering when his interview would be and the embassy stated they are still waiting on documents from NVC. I contacted NVC, NVC states all documents have been sent out.

What do we do? It's a he said/she said at this point and my husband and I are stuck in the middle. No one knows where our documents are, our originals...does anyone have any experience

    In this?!

    Please help.

  10. Hi everyone,

New to this thread! Hoping for SOME guidance if any of you have it. My husband and I were recently approved for expedited processing through NVC. The Sydney consulate approved this request last week and our case and all files attached were sent to the consulate. We had already submitted and paid all fees pertaining to AOS and IV and DS260. Just yesterday my husband received a 'Packet 3' email from the consulate. I keep getting mixed answers from different forums and have not been able to locate correct information on here yet. The Packet is requesting original birth certificates, marriage certificates, and also to fill out the DS230 Part 1 and 2. I'm so lost as to what we need to send them to continue. We have already submitted our original documents to NVC, if we have to request them again, it is going to prolong this even further which would eliminate the need for the expedite. Any suggestions or help?

  11. Hi guys, I'm excited to say our expedite request was approved today! I'm suffering form some health issues and submitted the request on July 31st. I'm so overwhelmed and elated that they approved this request. You all have been so helpful and amazing during this whole process! My question is, what now? Anybody been through the expedite process? How long do we wait for them to contact us in regards to setting up an interview date and medical? Am I able to track my package leaving NVC and going to the embassy the same as if it were done through a normal case complete? It's through the Sydney consulate, so I'm trying to figure it all out because my husband would need to buy a flight to go out there.

Any information you all have would be amazing!!

I'll make sure to offer up as much information as we are going through the rest of the process!

Still rooting for all of you!!!

  12. Hey guys,

Just curious about the checklists? Have most of you been receiving checklists for missing items or does everyone receive a false checklist? I see some people saying in their timelines they received a false checklist but then posted a response? I thought if its a false checklist you should just ignore it? I'm hoping we don't get any checklists, I've been VERY through with everything we sent, any way to guarantee NOT to get one??

I know this i moving slowly for everyone, but at least we're seeing movement now you guys! Instead of 6-7mos or a year and over of all of us just sitting at USCIS. Perk up guys, we're all close to the end! :)

  13. I completely understand! I'm extremely grateful that my process is moving along but it isn't fair that others, yourself included, have been waiting so long. I accidentally re-submitted my DS-261 on July 5th because it showed incomplete. That's what I called to complain about. The lady wasn't the nicest person to me, but I don't know what happened that softened her up to speak to a supervisor. And then she came back and told me it would be approved that day.

My heart goes out to you. This process is miserable. I hope it picks up for you. :(

  14. Hey everyone,

IV invoice just turned to PAID and I will be sending the IV package tomorrow so they should receive it tomorrow. My DS-w261 was reviewed and approved pretty quickly. I called and was very nice to the rep and complained about the process briefly and she spoke with her supervisor and they approved it that day. The next day, IV invoice became available. I'm hoping that our AOS documents get scanned in and the review process begins soon. Good luck to everyone else!!!

  15. Hi everyone! Received this email today:

Application Type: I130 , IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN

    Your Case Status: Initial Review

On May 6, 2014, your Alien Registration Number was changed relating to your I130, IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN. Please check our website at www.uscis.gov for further updates on your case. Please wait until the end of normal processing time before calling customer service at 1-800-375-5283 for live assistance.

What does this mean? Approval in our near future?! Fingers crossed!

  16. For those still waiting for approval, when you check the status of your case on the USCIS website does it say "Initial Review"? If so, when was the last time that information was updated? Mine says it was last updated on 23 October.

I ask this because from what I can figure my application has not been touched at all since it was submitted, is there a way of knowing if it has been assigned to an officer or is "moving"?

Mine still says in 'Initial Review'. I filed on October 4, 2013 and the date in my portfolio is March 13, 2014 for when my case was last touvhed. I believe that is when NSC received our case from the transfer. Other than that, no movement. I filed a service request and was told I should hear something within 15 days, which would put me at May 9, 2014. But then I called back to check if there was any update on my case number and the CS rep told me it could take up to 30 days to get back to me about the service request. Ugh. I hate this system. Good luck to you! Hopefully we will both see some approvals soon.

  17. So it looks like NSC is moving, but moving SLOWLY. I don't see why our case hasn't been touched at ll since it was transferred. I just want to know they have looked at it at least! I called to check on the service request, the rep said they sent my request to NBC, and NBC should forward it to NSC. She told me that the service request can take 15-30 days now.....when I put in the request, the rep said 15 days. :(

What going on with our case?!

  18. Call the 800 number and press 1,2,2,2. This will let you speak with CS Rep. Ask him to put in a SR for you as you are out of normal processing time frame. Good luck!

They let me put in a service request!! Thank you! I don't understand what the difference is from pressing those numbers or waiting to talk to a CS rep, but this time they actually put in a service request and said I should here something in 15 days! :) I hope they let us know good news instead of and RFE, but I'll take any information I can get!! Fingers crossed!

  19. I've called USCIS a couple times to see about putting in a service request. I was told that the system wouldn't allow them to put one in because my case is still inside the processing time. :( I don't understand why there hasn't been any movement on our case. PD 10/4, transferred to NSC on 3/12. I don't think we will get an RFE, but maybe if we do at least Ill know that our case is being looked at! I'm so happy for everyone else that has already been approved. I just want to join the group! haha :(

I keep seeing that you guys are saying that you're hoping for an October arrival into the US. Is July out of the question? I'm hoping we get approval this week or at least before April is over. Get a NVC case number by the end of May, first week of June. Then begin the process of sending stuff in and applying for the actual visa. How quickly do you guys think this process can be done? I have all the AOS documents already and my husband has all his documents ready to go for the IV package. Is it unrealistic to think he could be home sometime in July? I think the Sydney consulate is pretty fast for interviews. Any thoughts you all might have will help ease my mind during this wait......
