  1. Hi 1) yes you need to send the I-864 at the same time, you also need to send I-130, & I-693, you might as well send forms I-765 EAD, & I-131 AP as these two are free when sent in with the I-485 & I_131.

    2) no your SSN is yours for life. when you get your Green Card then go in & get the "Only Valid With DHS Approval" removed.

    3) when you or if you get the EAD you could pop into the DMV & see if you can do anything with the EAD about your license if not then you will have to wait for your G/C.

Thanks mate. It's highly appreciated. We mailed the docs (I-485, I-130, I-765) on 4/3/14. It arrived on 4/5/14. We included the I-864 but didn't include the I-131. Since I just realized that it's free when filing alongside the I-485 I was wondering if they'd still accept the I-131 without charging the fee?

  2. This might be a little lengthy but I'd appreciate comments and feedback since I have little to no clue about immigration procedures. My US citizen wife and I met during the summer of one of my few visits to the US prior to coming over for my studies (I'm currently an F-1 student). We got married last summer (June 2013) and had a baby over the festive season (December 2013). Now we're preparing to file concurrently in order for me to get a green card so I'd just like to make a few clarifications regarding certain issues.

    1) When filing my I-485 for Adjustment of Status , do i need to send an Affidavit of Support or should I keep the Affidavit for my interview?

    2) I already have a Social Security Number (which is only valid with DHS approval), would I need to apply for a new SSN? Or are they going to remove the conditions on my current SS card since I'd now be a permanent resident.

    3. Similar to my SSN, my driver's license has got several restrictions and expires when my I-20 does. Would I need to apply to the DMV for those restrictions to be removed once my AOS is completed

So far these are the questions that I can think of at the moment. I look forward to getting a response. Thanks in advance.
