• Two (2) passport-size photographs of beneficiary (case number, beneficiary’s full name, and date of birth are written on back of both)
• Photocopy of the biographic data page of beneficiary’s passport
• Certified copy of the birth certificate of beneficiary
• Certified copy of the civil marriage certificate
• Certified copy of the catholic marriage certificate
• Original police recods

For Stepson

This is my stepson case and I still can't log in to see his name.

My wife case is ok and I already paid for AOS and IV fees.

I'm waiting for my stepson case to show up. Also, I'm ready to send stepson AOS and IV package as well as my wife IV package.

Hopefully can do this week.

How long does it take in order to pay the IV fees? or at least to be able to log in and see the names.

Yes, you need to register your catholic marriage to any notary (Notaria in the city where you got married)

We also got married in a Catholic Church and my wife went to the "La Notaria" to register our marriage. Then she got a civil marriage certificate

I sent both documents translated in English to USCIS and we got our NOA2

I also collecting documents to send to NVC. Does anyone know if we need to translate our documents into English (IV Package)

Question for anyone filling out the I-864 form part 2 where it says

Information on the principal immigrant "Wife"

Do you put the last name what shows on the barcoded cover sheet (single last name) or the married last name in this case my last name?

I did put her married last name (my last name) on the I-130 form.

Did anyone submit the DS 260 form on behalf of your wife and stepson (my case) and sign it and also fill out at the end the preparer piece.

I agree. It's hard to follow. I haven't signed up for May thread yet. ...I'm just looking at the spreadsheet to analyse the the data to see how long it's taking to have the case complete from NOA2

So we can say. From the time NOA2 gets approved until the interview date could take approx. 4-5 months ...all depends if we don't get a checklist and everythings goes as planned.

NVC is more direct as they just review the documents, making sure we fill out the documents corectly and pay the fees and everytthing in order.

The workload is increasing as they are getting more applicants.

Compare to USCIS which they depend on other peple reviewing/checking backgrounds and other checks they do before approving the documents, it takes longer.....

Hope all of our visa journey is done soon and we can be with our spouses and children togetther and continue with our lives

I want to get some timing. For the people who have a case number and INN. How long did it take to get them? from the time the NOA2 was approved.

I just got an e-mail my stepson I-130 got approved.

Now my wife and stepson applications have been finally approved.

Wife I-130 approved on April 9th

Stepson I-130: Got an RFE: April 18th - USCIS Received proof April 28th - Approved May 6th

Good luck to everyone on their approvals.

Hopefully I will receive the case numbers and ID numbers for wife and stepson soon. I have been checking and it takes an average of 3-4 weeks. Hopefully is everything goes well. It will take another 4 months from the time you have a case number and an ID assigned

I may have more questions, for now I'm waiting for the case numbers.

Re: custody/consent - I'm not sure if I need it for the interview we are working on it. but if I don't have the consent in time of the interview. My wife should tell the officer who is interviewing her that the consent or documents are being processed that we need an exact date to put on the consent "escritura" colombian word for consent" in order for the judge to sign that we need to have the date as when my stepson is leaving the country.

I will not know when my wife and stepson will leave the country until their get their visa approved and buy the tickets.

Yes, I-864 is reallly confusing. I'm filling out the I-864 for each one for wife and another for stepson, but submitting photocopies of the supporting documents I'm attaching with my wife I-864.

I'm still waiting to receive the actual letter to see what type of evidence they need. I called tier 2. They said they don't have the info.
