  1. Parabéns!! Fique tranquila. Everything will work out. You're just a little nervous and anxious, which is normal.

    Tudo vai dar certo

The green card will arrive maybe even before 4 weeks. Who knows :)

Obrigada! Eu so fico nervosa porque todo mundo recebe notificacao logo depois da entrevista e eu ainda nao :(

    Muito Obrigada

You will most likely get a response soon. Do you have an account on USCIS so you can see any movement on your case? When we had our interview for ROC, it seemed like everything was fine, but after 2 months we still had not heard anything. We scheduled an Infopass and were able to find out that we had been approved a few days before. Soon after that the green card arrived. If you haven't heard from them within the 30 days they asked you to wait, you can schedule an Infopass too and get more information. It sounds like your interview went well--good luck!

Yes I do have an account and i have an alert to receive email/text whenever there is a change.

    Thank you :clock:

  2. I went to my interview may 13th at 315, everything seemed to be ok. The IO mentioned at least 3 times that i will receive my green card in 4 weeks, even explained to us what we had to do regarding ROC. I had asked her to change my name to my married name and again she said ( your green card will have your husband's last time) and she said that everything looked good and we make a good couple and have beautiful family. BUT i have not received any email regarding my case updating my status.. Should i be worried? Seems like everyone receive email updating their status within hour of their interview...

    Thank you

  3. SO I had my interview yesterday, it was schedule for 315, since i like to be on time for everything, i got there 45 min early, came 330 the room was empty everyone was called, so some guy ask us if we had an appt and what time, so i think they forgot about us. 5 minutes later this woman come out and call our name, she didnt make any eye contact, so i got worried. First we had to swear an oath to tell the truth, then she asked my husband my name and DOB and asked my parents name.. after that she went over my application and went over my first came coming here, she asked to see my I94, but i told her i didnt have but my passport was stamped with both of my entry, she said thank you and think that was enough. So after she asked since we sent application if we had anything else to ADD than we showed Registration of boat we bought, Car insurance, and other things we brought and then she said that i had sent few pics if i had more, so i gave to her ( i made few collages of few events ) she didnt look at them all.. She asked if she could make copies, i told her she could keep them all, that i had the collage for them, I showed her my wedding album she didnt finish looking at that either, then she said that we made a good couple, and that she was going to make copies of our IDs and when she came back she said i should receive my green card within 4 weeks and explained the process of ROC and becoming citizen, i told her i wanted to change my name to his last name, so she crossed off my last name and told me that my green card would have his last time. The paper that seh gave us said pending review, and i have not received any email changing status yet! Granted we left the building after 430.. so i am hoping i am getting something soon, cuz i am getting worried.

    hope my experience helped!

  5. You can get your i94 through the customs website by putting in your name and passport number.

I tried that, but since i came before they started doing online i cant get it.

    :(

I no longer have my I94 but my entry was stamped on my passport, do you think that will be a problem? I came here last 15years ago and have no idea where i put my I94 or if i received one..

I am so nervous, my interview is in few days

im not sure about this one, i came 10ys ago and got the i94 (little piece of paper the size of a credit card!) didnt notice, and washed it along with my passport. Before i started the AOS process i went ahead and got a replacement (for i102 costs $330). I wasnt able to get the number thru the site mentioned because i guess before 2005 (or maybe later?) they are not stored online.

Guess i am gonna hope for the best, and if i Get RFE for that i will try to file the form and get it.. Crossing my fingers that the passport entry will be enough

  6. You definitely have to bring your i94, the visa would be stamped on your passport, so yes to that one too, even if you have more than one passport (due to exp date) i would bring it too. It wont hurt bringing the NOAs as well. Im bringing a copy of everything sent to and received from USCIS (affidavits, translations even the forms), and photo album. Itll be a big fi, amd the IO might not even look at it, but better safe than sorry

  7. Thank you for sharing your experience with us :)

    Hi everyone!

Just wanted to share my interview experience with you all to ease your minds and let you know what to somewhat expect.

Yesterday, I had my AOS interview. I came here in August under the VWP. I originally planned to stay here for a week, and then decided to get married, as a lot of you on here did too. My husband and I met online and this was our first time meeting! Our interview was scheduled for 8:00 AM in Boston at the JFK building. We arrived there around 15 minutes before our interview, it was very easy to find, and we had to go through security which only took about a minute - no problems. Then we went to the reception and gave in our interview notice and the lady was nice and told us to take a seat. Now here is a funny story! A woman started calling out a few names and told them to follow her in to another room (I later found out they were all there for naturalization). My husband and I could have sworn that the lady called out my maiden name and something that sounded like my first name so we followed her. My maiden name is two words and the last word is what she called out - it's a very unusual surname. Then about 10 minutes later, a man called out that same woman's name and that's when we realized we were in the wrong room so we went back and explained to the receptionist what had happened hahaha! She was nice and checked that we hadn't been called out yet, which we hadn't, so she told us again to take a seat. This was at 8:00 AM promptly.

Then about 5 minutes later, a man opened the door and came up to us and said our names (I guess he knew our faces because he had our photos) and wanted to interview my husband first. His interview lasted about 30 minutes and then they both came back in to the reception and my husband was smiling so I could tell that the officer had been nice to him and that everything was going to be fine. So then I went with the officer and when I went in to his room, he told me to stand up with my right hand up and swear on the oath which I did. When I sat down, he had a few photos of us that we brought with us on the table, the first photo being of us with our cat which he mentioned and I laughed. Then he started asking me if I was born in England, did I go to school there (and mentioned that my parents were both teachers from my birth certificate) and what did I study there, so I told him I did my A-levels in English Literature, Maths and French and he said "oh yes, (husband's name) told me that you like Shakespeare" and during the interview, he would talk to me about Shakespeare and how he likes Shakespeare lol! He showed me a photo we took in of us two with his nephew and asked who the boy was - I guess to see if our answers matched up, which they did, and he asked me where my sister-in-law (his nephew's mother) lived so I told him and he smiled because our answers matched up. Then he joked about how I must be familiar with English names in New England! Then he asked us how we met and I explained that we met online on a live-streaming website and used Skype too. Then he asked how we decided to meet in person so I told him it was easier for me to go over there seeing as I had a passport and I love America and then I explained, even though he didn't ask, that I originally came here for 8 days but we decided to stay and get married and we both laughed. He asked me how my family felt about it so I told him the truth; that there were ups and downs and I still don't really talk to much of my family but I email my mother and she was worried at first but now she is okay. Somehow he knew my parents were divorced and said it must have been a painful experience for me. He was a very sympathetic guy. Then he went through the questions on the I-485 form, which I all said "no" to. He asked if I've ever been fingerprinted by the police before which I have, not because of a crime, but because I had to do so in order to apply for an Iranian passport (my father is Iranian), so I mentioned this to him. He asked if I have an Iranian passport so I said I think it's expired now but it's in England and he asked me what the purpose for my visit in Iran was and I said just to see family and the country. He was typing stuff in to his computer at this point and then he stamped "APPROVED" on my paperwork and said I will be getting a welcome letter in the mail within two weeks and my GC within a month! I thanked him. He told me that my husband and I seem like a great couple and we had a quick romance haha! Then he followed me back to the reception and told my husband to make sure my name is on the mailbox for when I receive my green card, I guess so that they know for sure that I live there? I don't know.

Anyway, I'm so happy we had him as an officer! I wish I could have thanked him more for his kindness. My husband and I left and we were hugging each other and he had tears in his eyes because he was so happy hehe :) my interview lasted around 20 minutes or so.

  8. In the letter for my interview, it says I need to bring all documentation establishing my eligibility for Lawful Permanent Residency. I came here on a VWP and got married, so does this mean I bring my marriage certificate? Do I need to bring anything else to prove my eligibility? Of course, my husband's birth certificate to prove that he is American. Is that all?

Good luck on your interview tomorrow :)

  9. You shouldnt be worrying AT ALL... you are blessed already :) you have an interview date which I or most people would trade For at the moment. A friend got his EAD card in 56 days.... He is still in Testing and Interview and he filed Mid October!!!!!

I was checking February 2013 and as of last month, there were still people in ACCEPTANCE!!!!

Thank you, and yes you are right!! I dont sleep at night waiting for this interview and worrying, i am ready to be over ...

  10. Are you serious? That's great that you got the same iO. Slightly bald? Grey hair? Did he ask anything from you? He only asked for our 2013 returns. Congratulations to you and your wife! Aren't you glad it's over? I just had a nap because I barely slept last night. Lol

what if i already sent my 2013 taxes returns with my package should i still bring it?

thank you and congrats to you both
