I would seriously call the embassy and ask. Have you gone to the site to see if there is a pick up place? Hurry check with embassy to find out whats up.

Every embassy is different and has different ways to get back your passport and documents. Sorry don;t know for you.

Hello guys! I just want to ask if anyone of you had an interview but was not able to fill up a form in the USEM website? I just saw this notice while browsing the website today, I didn't see this was posted a week before my interview. They didn't asked for the registration page either. I'm getting worried how I am going to get my passport back. What am I going to do? I would appreciate your answers guys! Thank you!

The thing is, they didn't ask for the registration page in the interview. How am I going to get my passport back if I didn't fill up this form? Any idea dwheels76? Or has this happen to anyone of you guys who had their interviews? I appreciate your reply guys! Thanks!

I just want to share my interview experience today! The immigration officer checked all my submitted documents and he said I think you are good. Then he asked me, "When and how did you meet your husband and where did you get married?" After I answered he said, ok we will send your visa within 2 weeks. I was like, "Sir I just want to clarify, is my visa approved?" He said, "Yes! We got everything we need and you submitted the complete documents!" I said, "Thank you sir!" and I left. Lol...

Visa Approved!!!! Yaaaaayyyy!!!! I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone here in VJ! Y'all are awesome! Thank you everyone for all the help and assistance! Special thanks to Saylin and Dwheels76!

I checked the status of my case, it's now "In Transit". Tomorrow, I will have my medical. Anyway, to those who got their interview dates, congrats and hope others get their schedules, too!

Hello Rose! That's fine! My interview is set on the 4th of June and I will have my medical tomorrow, May 6. I think as long as you were able to fly out before the medical's validity and visa expire! I will fly out as soon as I get my visa.

I have asked her to carry a copy of the AOS package (updated with the 2013 Tax Return, and W2), and the IV package with her, in case the consulate did not find any specific document (or misplaced it). Also of course the originals - birth certificate, marriage certificate, passport, DS-260 confirmation page, the IL (we are still waiting for that), pics, medical report.

Well it's about time! Hope we get our IL anytime this week!

Now what are we supposed to do? I hope they have it fixed by the time I need to pay the fees. I'm really tired of waiting and after USCIS pushed my case from March to June (their mistake not mine) I'm getting pretty tired of this constant waiting.

I'm sorry for what had happened to your case. I also posted this to the group I joined in with Kaylara. The 2 said they used firefox while the other one used chrome. But I think it would be better asking NVC so it won't mess up your payments or DS 260. Or maybe if what majority of VJ members used aside from IE browser.

Why the government would insist on using such a stupid outdated browser like IE is beyond me. Then something like this happens and all of a sudden they advise us not to use it. Ridiculous.

I know right? If they didn't recommend IE browser, I wouldn't have used it. Lol

Maybe! I don't know if fixing the bug on Microsoft's IE browser is affecting it. But it could be.

JUST A REMINDER TO ALL VJ MEMBERS:

My nephew from CA posted the news in his facebook wall, "Homeland Security warns not to use IE browser." I know that we, Vjers are recommended to use IE browser. If this is legitimate, I think it's better to ask the NVC about this before doing the payments and fill up the applications on CEAC. In the past thread, I read that other Vjers were having problems in using other browsers so for your safety I would recommend ask NVC.

I got checklist on 31-March for Birth Certificate though I submitted birth non-availability certificate. I spoke to customer care and they told me they would send the note to case officer. Meanwhile I also received original Birth certificate (issued for a later date) from India and mailed it to NVC. After a week later, when I called NVC they said my case got completed on 4-April itself and also i got email confirming the same. But again, I got another mail today stating my case is completed on 17-April. When I called customer care, they said arrival of original birth certificate made them to reopen the case and changed the completion date to 17-Apr. Will it be a problem to get interview date in June as the completion date changed to 17-April ? My case is assigned to Mumbai , India.

I'm sorry that they re-opened your case because of unreviewed document even you already had a case complete. But thank you for sharing this coz I have the same case. They sent me a checklist last April 7 regarding my police clearance (i think this is a false checklist) but I called and told them it was in my IV package. But I still sent the police clearance so it won't delay my case and they got it April 14. I called April 17 and I found out that I got case complete April 15. I called today coz I was worried it might happen to me also and the CSR told me it will not probably be re-opened since I got case complete. She sounds not very sure so I will call again to tell them not to re-open my case. Also I asked about the interview and they told me that they will start scheduling next week until the 2nd week of May so maybe you get your June interview.

WOW that's a shame you could have been done if you followed that. You are already on your course of action for a CR1/IR1 just ignore yes.

Actually I called already coz I was worried. The CSR told me it was sent at the embassy last Jan 24 but the last update was Feb 3. Anyway, there's nothing I can do with it. Thanks anyway! Yup I just I have to ignore it! Well, it's almost done!

Btw, CC was 15th of April not on the 17th. I will just fill up the form and update it!

Hello dwheels76! I have a question maybe you can help me with this. I already got my I-130 case complete last 17th of April and waiting for the interview date. Just now I received a letter of my approved I-129F with NVC case# and when I checked on the portal the status was "Ready" since Feb 3. Do I have to just ignore it or call NVC and cancel my I-129F? Will it affect my I-130 case? Thanks.
