This is just my personal opinion, but it seems to me that you will be sent to CSC. They seem to be processing June filers now so it would make sense to send April and May filers to them and put you at the head of the line. CSC filers will balk at that but it is only fair since they have only been waiting 2 months max if they filed in June. That will even everyone of you and them to around 3 months for them and 3-5 months for you April/May filers. This won't necessarily speed up the TSC processing for us Jan, Feb and March filers but it will help June and later TSC filers. Most of you may even get approved before me..but that's ok..I will still be cheering that TSC finally got off their A$$ and did something.

I just started a thread specifically for transfers. Please post your NOA1, when you were notified and where you were transferred to (when you find out with an update) so we can track this. I think we may finally be seeing a breakthrough at TSC...they may be shifting the burden to other centers so they can start catching up. Perhaps they finally listened to us?

It is different. K-1 I-129f's are only processed at 2 centers (TSC and CSC) whereas the CR-1/K-3/I-130's are processed at many others. TSC is extremely backed up on the K-1 I-129f's which is why this may be huge news for us. Thanks for your well wishes and best of luck on the rest of your journey

I have seen 7 or 8 transfers in the past 2 days now. I am requesting anyone that has been transferred to please post here with your NOA1 date and when you were notified and whatever you know. This is a way to track how many and where they are going. Looks like TSC is finally moving the load around to speed the process up. Great news for TSC potentially!!! Most I have seen are April and May filers so far. This may also explain why we are seeing more Feb and March approvals lately. They may be spreading the piles around to various desks after they send others to CSC or wherever they are going.
*** Please note...this is for legitimate transfers with notifications to the effect. Not for actual CSC filers that think they were transferred when actually just routed. You need to have received a notice that you were being moved to another center for processing. This will keep the numbers more accurate. Thanks
+++ Also please update us after you find out where you were sent please Good luck to all.

Texasav8r got a reaction from thatangela in K1 July 2014 Filers
It's ok...I will be happy to explain. A major typhoon struck the Philippines last October or November (sorry not sure of the exact date) that displaced thousands of residents from their homes due to the destruction. USCIS began expediting the petitions from that country in order to reduce the period of time they would have to endure the hardships as a result. To this day, even new filers are being expedited for that reason. Not all Philippine filers were expedited due to their location in the country (not being affected by the storm) but most were and are still being expedited. Even people that were not affected at all were expedited.
So when you see TSC filers get a quick approval (anything under 90 days or so), it will typically be from the Philippines and they were expedited. This is a different category all together and doesn't fall under normal TSC processing.
    Hope that helps .

Um, it's not speculation. Expedites are still happening. I would like you to show me TSC approvals that fall under 30 days that were not from the Philippines or actual CSC filers that incorrectly show TSC as their service center. There is no way, you or anyone else just happened to get a random approval from TSC when there are ~8000 petitions sitting in front of you...most for several months. Are you saying that you happened to have your paperwork in order and the rest of us have issues with ours which is why we are still waiting? I don't think so. It is pretty obvious even to the casual observer that you were expedited. I said a long time ago, there is no rhyme or reason why they were expediting many from non storm affected areas. It is simply a matter of the interpretation of the instructions by USCIS employees. It was my assertion many just expedited all Philippines petitions on their desk because they thought that was what they were supposed to do. Others took the time to read the instructions and actually determine the location of your fiance's location and rather it fell within the guidelines or not. Consider yourselves lucky in that regard.
Anyway, it really makes no difference one way or the other.

It doesn't and it shouldn't. This was another Philippines expedite. The rest of us are still suffering through standard TSC approval periods of 5 - 7 months....for now. It may pick up at same point in the future and for future TSC filers, I hope it does.
To be clear, this was in no way to take away from the M&L's happiness (a nice present)....only to address the message above

I have to admit though...even though I am prepared for a lengthy wait for our visa and am trying hard to be patient, seeing more and more 20-30 day approvals from CSC is really really starting to annoy me. I know I know, don't read them, but that doesn't mean they aren't still happening. It just boggles the mind to think that there can be such a huge disparity between the two centers. What genius decided to send all VSC petitions to Texas rather than splitting them up between the two? How can they not see the huge difference between the two or choose not to do something about it?
I also understand there are those that waited 5-8 months for their NOA2, and they should really feel worse than us, but why should we accept that? I don't want to wait that long just because they did...not when there are so many getting approved in freakin May already. Yes it has only been 3 months...BUT, it will be 6, if not more, when all is said in done probably...I am looking ahead..lol.
Some folks say, what's a few months when we are going to spend the rest of our lives together...ok, I agree...but what's a few months when it could be a few weeks instead?
They say we are all in this together...no we aren't. We are in two different worlds. I don't care if TSC may be 2 weeks 3 years from now...doesn't affect me or any of you. CSC is on another planet.
One other thing then I will step down and back up and breathe:
I mentioned value in another thread and have been thinking of some analogies that fall in line with that statement...food for thought
    1. You live in New York and others live in California. Everyone from those two states orders a product from Amazon (same item) and pays $15.00 for shipping which is 5-7 days (disclaimer says to expect 7). Everyone in California receives theirs in 2-3 days while everyone in New York receives theirs in 7-10 days and all products are shipped from St. Louis.
    2. Same scenario but this time everyone buys a DVD from an Ebay seller in the same city. Everyone pays 25.00 for the DVD (I know, expensive but bear with me). Everyone in CA receives the unedited, full length directors cut Blu Ray and everyone in New York receives the made for TV version with commercials.
    3. Everyone on your street buys a fridge from Best Buy and pays $50.00 delivery fee. Everyone on the other side of the street gets the fridge delivered next business day while everyone on your side of the block has to wit 2 weeks due to back orders.
    4. Want to board early on your next flight? Pay for first class. You get to board before everyone else...but you paid extra for it....we all paid the same but because we are wearing Hawaiian shirts, we have to wait for others to board first
Yes there are exceptions and I realize some in CSC are waiting a while too but I suggest that maybe there are problems with the petitions (country, security checks, etc.) or they simply fell through the cracks.
Just with those 4 scenarios, how would you feel or react? Wouldn't think you were receiving much value for what you paid for would you? Yeah yeah, I know...they say 5 months but they say that for everyone...yet it only applies to half of us hence the examples above. There are many more I thought of but did not want to drag it out more than I already have.
I truly love my state of Texas but they are a serious disappointment regarding this process.
Ok I am done...back to waiting. BTW, is there a way to block threads? I know I should just avoid them but it is difficult to as there may be something of value in them but then, bam, another one mentioning their 20 day approval...I would rather block them so I can avoid more salt in the wounds

Well, like I said, no offense taken. You mention hillbillies and Texas in the same breath and that is my home so of course I will stand up for it. The folks that work there are presumably from there as well and whether they are doing a good job or not is irrelevant when they are being slandered based on their location. Capisce? Oh, and by the way, I can pretty much guarantee you that English is not the first language of many of the employees there. Care to call them something else?
I realize you are angry as it is very apparent in your tone and even your reply to a perfect stranger who is on your side and in the same boat. It doesn't help anyone. I personally don't believe it is entirely the fault of the people working there. I have stated this many times, and if you read the forums, like you suggest I need to, you would see that I have mentioned several factors that have a direct impact on the TSC's ability to process our petitions (VSC dumping on them, I-130 backlog and probably the immigration crisis on the border). We really don't know what instructions they have received at TSC for handling visas of any kind. I submit to you that the same "kind" of people work at all the centers and simply follow instructions that are provided to them.
Igor's list may be outdated but you were talking about April filers. I simply pulled up April filers and provided that information and it only took me 3 minutes to reach a conclusion..not an assumption. It is not rocket science after all. I do, in fact, read the forums and I still say that very few "real" TSC filers that are not from the Philippines have been approved. I welcome your constructive input and data if you care to share it with me so I can admit my error but I honestly don't think you have anything I haven't seen already. If you do, please share it as I am always willing to learn...even us old dogs. I do hope I am wrong as it will provide a glimmer of hope for us all.
Lastly, you are kidding right? Happy with waiting a year? I am not one of those saying that 6 months or a year is just a drop in the bucket when we have the rest of our lives to spend with each other...those are young people that have a hell of a lot more time ahead of them than I do. I know better. Time lost is time lost and the older you get, the faster it goes. I think I have made it very clear concerning my position on the prolonged wait based on a geographical location and bad luck of the draw as to where my petition is being processed. I can't say whether they are doing a good job or not because, like you and everyone else here, I have no idea what they are doing. I can give an educated guess and say that they are not primarily working on I-129f's or they would be approving more than they are. They may very well be doing a good job at whatever they are doing as instructed.
Do I like it? Hell no I don't, but if the show were on the other foot and CSC was way behind, I would not be calling them a bunch of stoners or surfer dudes any other derogatory term based on where they are located...that was my point. Hopefully you understand where I am coming from now. It is not the people but the process we need to be disgusted with.
Have a nice day and good luck.

Seriously though, it is still 2 months we won't get back and the older you get, the more that means to you..trust me. There is still the NVC and interview process after that....ugh

Texasav8r got a reaction from sweet cakes in Where will your I-129F Petition for K-1 be Processed?
Ever wonder where your petition will go? CSC? TSC? Well, this question is asked by many new members here, and there are many mistakes made while filling out timelines. I decided to throw together a map that will help answer this question. Now, as with everything, there are exceptions to every rule and nothing is perfect (especially when dealing with the government), but after the research I have conducted and after comparing my data with a list recently provided from a immigration attorney's website, I believe the data is very accurate.
The map has two colors and applies to the home state that the petitioner lives in when the petition is filed. A red state will be processed at the CSC and a blue state will be processed at the TSC.
*** - Please understand that each petition is mailed to Texas. This is NOT NOT NOT the TSC. Understand? The lock box in Texas (NOT the TSC) will then screen the application for errors and ensure the payment is there and then "accept" the petition. They will then route (NOT TRANSFER) the petition to the service center that applies to the state you are a resident in. You will then receive a NOA1 which will include a file number which begins with 3 letters and has several numbers after them:
    WAC = CSC
    SRC = TSC
The NOA1 will also include a Notice Date and that is the date you begin counting from.
NOTE - This only applies to I-129F petitions for K-1 Visas. This also applies to NORMAL petitions and not expedites as far as I know. There may be a different process for determining where those are processed but I do not have any data to accurately support that.
I hope this helps clear up the where's and why's and if your particular situation is different, please don't kill the messenger. Like I said above, there are exceptions to every rule and only the USCIS (maybe) knows why.
If the mods determine this is accurate enough to sticky..please do. Thanks all and good luck on your journeys

Please be sure to change your service center to CSC (Chicago goes to CSC) in your timeline. The notice (email) should have mentioned it was forwarded to CSC for processing and you were assigned a receipt number that begins with WAC. This is not a transfer. I mention this because so many people think they are being processed at the TSC because they sent their petition to the Texas lock box which is not the same and it grossly skews the timeline estimates for actual TSC filers.
    Thanks and good luck.
