Actually, if you filed after February 2nd, you are still within normal processing times according to the wonderful folks at TSC. Now, we all know that is complete BS and my congressional rep confirmed that when she spoke with a liaison who stated they were currently working on April filers.
You can try to call and have a T2 file a service request for you (you will not be able to do it online) and if they refuse, like they did to me and I am 3 weeks before you, then call again later (10 more times if necessary) until one files it for you. Or, you can call your congressman like I did and have them open a case for you. Mine discovered my file was still sitting in the general pile waiting for an adjudicator to pick it up so that may also be the case for you. Mine has now, supposedly, been sitting on the adjudicators desk for two weeks so it is time for me to get my congressman to push for an update. I also opened a case with the ombudsman by filing a DHS-7001.
It is definitely time (post 6 months) for you to take action as stated above. In another week or two, they should post new processing times and we might be able to file online also but why wait? Light a fire under their lazy butts.

Wise words. Thanks for sharing. One of my all time favorites is "If you want to give God a good laugh, tell him your plans". So true.

Looking back, I really wish I had engaged my representative at the 3 month mark rather than waiting until 6 1/2 months had passed. I really didn't feel it would help to send in a letter 2 1/2 months before the stated processing time (5 1/2 months at the time) as it would require adjudicators to put mine ahead of others that may have been waiting longer and didn't seem fair to them. HOWEVER, hindsight being 20/20, I really should have. There was another March filer that did just that and her fiance POE'd a while back and I am still waiting for NOA2 at 7 months, 2 days. Bottom line, you have to do what is right for you and your situation. If you feel it is time to write your congressman then by all means do so. I really wish I had as it will now be approximately one year since I have seen my fiance by the time we get this all done with (Dec 27)
Don't kick yourselves like I am....do what is right for you and don't worry about what others have to say about it...they aren't you. Good luck.

OK, I have just seen a June petition approval on Igor's list.... Something is finally moving forward...
Both of the 10/6 approvals on Igor's list today (June and July) are actually CSC filers that incorrectly filled out their timelines as transferred to CSC from TSC.
I hope I'm posting in the correct forum. This question is for the June 2014 TSC filers only. We have decided to set a date for our USA ceremony so that I can start planning and not be caught like a deer in headlights at the last minute. Our NOA1 date is 6/25. Do you guys and gals think that a wedding date of April 8, 2015 is too optimistic?
We want to get married as early as possible upon fiance getting here so we can file for EAD and AOS sooner, etc etc.
I am just worried that we have started the planning and then something will get delayed and you know, money down the drain.
I apologize for not asking the CSC folks, it's just that your timelines are moving much quicker than TSC.
Thank you all and fingers crossed for a week filled with approvals for EVERYONE!
April 8th should be fine. BUT, always have a backup plan .

I haven't been seeing any freshly approved June petitions in Igor's list since long ago. That's sad May is complete almost to the top, but June hasn't even made 25%.... When is our celebration coming, guys?
I am sure it will come sooner than you think and it will be a wonderful surprise.
I took a look at Igor's list after reading this as I was having difficulty believing May could be so far ahead and was shocked. May is even more complete than March and April. Now THAT is truly sad. I realize it is mostly due to the transfers, but still. TSC is a joke. I can't believe I was actually giving them the benefit of the doubt a couple of months ago. Just wow.

Be ready to call the ombudsman as well. Initially they closed my case stating that I needed to expedite with USCIS. I called them and got my resolution.
Good info...thanks. I will be sure to do that.
-
No, I requested an expedite that was denied. I called the ombudsman and a few hours later the status had changed. I received an RFE, but better than waiting endlessly.
Created a case (DHS-7001) with the ombudsman today, so combined with calls to open SR and congress and also senator next week, maybe something can come of it. The gloves are coming off as this is absolutely ridiculous. <fingers crossed>

I will gladly take an RFE if it means any kind of movement. I know it will be a BS RFE but at least something to give hope....

What worked for me was the ombudsman. I contacted 2 senators and congresswoman and it didn't do a thing
I thought you had to have opened a service request prior to contacting the ombudsman? If not, then yeah, I will also do that. Monday will be a busy day for me.
-
Maybe you can try filing a service request now that it's been just about 6 months and 30 days? I don't know if it made a difference, but we got our NOA2 about 3 weeks after filing the service request, and I've seen instances on here where people received approvals really quickly after filing a request. I know you've already contacted your senator, so maybe they're on it, but it's just a thought! It is so frustrating that they just keep us in the dark.
I will try to open one again on Monday (over 7 months) and also ask my congressional rep to follow up again even though she said 30 days (which is too long IMO). TSC would not let me open one at 6.5 months (which is also absurd) so I will call and talk to as many as I need to in order to get one filed so I can get my timeout RFE . I was hoping for a September approval and now I am hoping for a pre-Christmas arrival but even that is beginning to look doubtful. I am almost regretting doing this as it would have taken almost as long to do the K-3 and I would have seen her again by now. This is really really getting depressing

Yeah, I am not sure about the "on the ball" comment...they seem to be doing some good for some people but they appear to be back to business as usual, but congrats just the same.

I had my interview this morning I woke up at 5am because I couldn't sleep, I was that nervous. The whole process was pretty easy; a lot of waiting, but the interview itself lasted about 3 minutes only. I was like, don't you want to keep my photocopies? Don't you want to see my pictures? He said no, we have everything we need. I was surprised by that as every guide says to take photocopies of your docs. Maybe they scan them these days?? Anyway, I was a little over prepared but that's ok. I am so happy to say I have been approved!! I know this is only the start of a long journey but after more than 7 months of waiting, I am so glad this part is nearly over.
Thanks for being my buddies these last few months, you've helped me more than you know. Even though I don't post everyday, I do read this thread everyday and will continue to do so until everyone has NOA2 and beyond.
Good luck to you all, especially those still waiting for NOA2! We'll be with our loved ones soooon!
That's fantastic...congrats!!
I remember when we all started this back in March and were all talking about how long the process would take, etc. which seems so long ago. Now we are seeing interviews and approvals and, very soon, POE reports will start coming through. How time flies. Really excited for you and all the others who are getting close to coming to their new home.

I'm keeping watch for your approval announcement!

FINALLY received NOA2! Texasav8r have you heard any updates?
Woo Hoo...Congrats!!
Not yet and thanks for asking

Not crazy at all! I think you should contact your congressman and/or senator to have them inquire about your case, if you haven't already. You are definitely outside the 'normal' processing time.
I had my congressman check on the status last week and it supposedly ended up with an adjudicator the same day, so we shall see.

Wow I am glad to see others are feeling like I am! When we filed I had *optimistically* hoped that this would be a done deal by November and we could have a wedding over the winter break... clearly I didnt want to admit that this was going to take what feels like forever...
So my questions is now, when it says Feb 2nd on the time processing website does that mean they will get around and respond with the NOA2 by then? or will this horrid ordeal be over with by 2/2?
Thanks & keep your heads up everybody!!! One day less!!!
Since February 2nd is a time frame based on TSC estimates, you will probably be done long before then since you are being processed at CSC.
as it will help others with answering any future questions and predict, with a slight degree of accuracy, their own estimates.
P.S. I am with you on being done by November...I thought she would be here by then...little did I know I would still be waiting on NOA2 and praying for a Christmas arrival as a March filer. Good luck.

Time to call your Congressman and have them open a case for you. I did that 2 weeks ago and was told recently that they are now working on April filers and mine was now with an adjudicator. Sometimes they just need a fire lit under their butts. If you don't want to call or write your Congressman, I would keep calling TSC and demand to speak with a T2 rep and have them open a service request for you. TSC is currently working on April and CSC is approving late July so there is absolutely no reason you should still be waiting. Good luck to you and I hope you receive good news soon.
-
Thanks...I hope you all are right. Keeping my eyes wide open and fingers crossed for a reason to celebrate this weekend...

Omgggg after what seemed like endless days, weeks, months, I finally got my NOA2. Now what??? How long for NVC to assign case #, and how long for embassy to schedule the interview???
Congrats!!
-
Keep in mind that CSC was always much slower with sending the approvals to NVC. That was always a primary complaint from the filers over there. That is the only part of TSC that is efficient. It would seem that CSC is at least twice as long with that part of the process, so you are about a week to 10 days away from what I remember many at CSC saying.

It is probably fairly close. TSC is at roughly 5 months and your country really has nothing to do with the estimate. A good percentage of April and May filers were transferred to CSC in the first 12 days of August and most have been approved already. There is a chance they will send another round of apps there to help with the workload but never count on anything positive with USCIS. Plan on January and if it comes sooner, it will be a nice surprise. Keep in mind the estimates are now including the transfer approval rates which dropped the average so it may even be longer. Good luck.
