  1. so i wanted to share with you guys how everything went at the consultorios de visa here in DR :

first of all the traffic is crazy in santo domingo around 8/9 am! so plan your travel with that in mind

at arriving there you are scanned by security and asked to turn off your phone and place it in a locker if you have any then you are given a little bag where you will place little bottoms which represents the test you have already done.

you also have to sign your 3 2x2 photos in the back with your first name and last name...and this is where the fun Begins .....

there is a huge section where you make a line* to pay for your test and it was CROWDED !!!! the staff professionally instruct you where to be and what to do at that point so listen to them carefully so you don't get confuse with all thats going on there !!

after like 3 hours or so you get to the cashier where you pay for your medical and you are asked if you are going to be doing the vaccines too, they inform you how much all is and they asked some question while they check your passport, the pics and the letter from the embassy, after that you go to the back of the place where there is another section where the consultorios are...

you can go to door 1 directly where they will perform the xrays then to door 2 to do the blood sample, after that you need to wait to be called to do the physical check and while everything is in order be on the lookout of the people who were before you on the line, if you see they are been called pay attention because you are next and if you are not call you can approach a staff guy/woman in a desk in that area and tell him what test you just did so he can put you back in the loop, im saying this because there is a lot going on ! children playing or crying, people walking up and down and its kind of confusing a bit

after the physical test you are called to do the vaccines if you are taking them and then you can go but there are other test for children but i dont know anything after the vaccination test

i hope this help someone who are going to do this to have a idea what happens in there, the staff is very professional and informative so ask if you have questions and btw eat something and wear something light since its kind of hot !

also they put a sticker on the back of the passport indicating the day where you should pick up the results so you can take them UNOPENED to your interview

  2. The 156k you can fill it out but it has to be signed in front of the consul.

Personally, I would call the US Embassy.....since your interview day is 15 days away. The email can take more than 2-3 days, sometimes people waited a week for a reply. Pay the pin at banco popular and call. You will get an answer faster.

    Good luck!

i did and they sent me an email with the package like 6 hours after i called !! ill print the 156k then ill sign it in front of the consul !

If you have a e-mail with the interview date , that is the pakect 4, you can use that to do the medical.

the one that has the interview date is not hte one that says i should take to do the medical ! should i take both ?

You dont need to wait until medical to do ds-160.

For the medical need 3 photos 2x2 .

    For interview 2 photos also.

If they sent you an e-mail with the beneficiary name, case number and interview date that is packet 4, with that she can pay at banco popular and do medical.

Remember that for medical she need come back to pick up the results.

any guide to fill out the ds-160 ! ?

how many days before the interview can i pay the banco popular fee and is the letter on package for i should use to do so ?

i also included my daughter to follow to join, i understand i have a year to bring her to live with us, what should i do to start that process ?

how long does it takes after she is here to get her green card ? will she have conditions like me ?

thanks guys for all the info in advance ! we are only 13 days from our interview !! so nervous !!

  6. K1 dont pay at nvc.

I had my interview on march I dont know if the fee at embassy changed but at the consulate I paid only 80 dollars, and at banco popular 15 and 160.

thanks, i thought it was weird that i never seen this fee on any of the k1 guides :)

  7. we all know there is a fee for summiting your fiancée petition to the uscis plus this

    others expenses

    - Medical Exam = $180 USD
    - Vaccines = $109 USD (optional, but highly recommended) Prices vary based on age.
    - Banco Popular Visa Application Fee = $156 USD ($140 + $16 service fee) – 2 separate payments, 2 separate receipts
    - Visa Fee paid day of interview at Consulate = $210 USD
    - DOMEX Courier Service to approved Visa = $ 9.50 – 16.00 USD

but I had never read about this NVC 240 $ fee before !!

is this fee paid before they sent the case to the embassy or after you enter usa ?

can anyone help me clear this confusion ?
