wow i was not expecting that !! that means i will have to pay full fees for him to next year !

as the title says,  my son came a year after me on his K2 visa, mine expire next month ( 2 years ) but him doesn't expire till dec 2018 

this is the explanation on the letter i received :

" children not linkable : 595 and 85 $ for bio fee $, " child name " cannot be included in a joint petition filed by your biological parent and step parent due to the fact that you did not acquired conditional resident status  concurrently with the parent or within 90 days from the date that they obtained conditional residence, children therefore  will require their own Petition to Remove the Conditions on Residence. " 

i suppose i have to his own ROC i-751 which means i will have to pay the 595 fee + 85 fee for biometrics .....now my question is, can i do this whenever i want before 90 before his green card expire or do i have to wait for the 90 days pre green card expiration ???

It is if the child is under 14 and not filing with the K-1 parent.

Correct, that's the fee for K2 under 14 years applying AOS alone, just send the package in the mail actually !!!

I am ready to apply for my son K2 green card, hes been in the USA for almost 6 months on a Following to join visa, I already have my conditionla GC for 2 years, this are the documents i have gathered so far..

He arrived to the USA already and its attending school, he doesn't have a son yet I'm trying to get ready to apply for his AOS, I already have my 2 years GC and need to get his so we could go back to our country for the summer break.

Hello VJ friends, i am a K1 visa holder and my son joined me before his follow to join visa expired , i have already my conditional green card, ssn, i need help on how to submit AOS for my son, he cant get ssn yet as far as i am concerned but my problem is that i dont know what documents i need to start his AOS and how much is going to cost, none of the guides explain how to do it for a K2 applicant alone !!!

is it the same process as a K1 ? i need help pls

btw he's already in school and has been in USA for about 4 months.

right now i have filled out the ds-160 and i have his profile ready on the visa appointment website ready and a customer service agent told me that the website will tell me how much i have to pay a banco popular and that it will also give me an a form to fill out to pay that ...

i really wish there was a guide or checklist you could follow so you don't miss any steps on this process

will i need to have full custody or shared custody will be enough ?

i am still trying to figure out how to start the k2 process for my son but the instructions online to do this are a little bit confusing and I would like to know the exact fee amount to pay at the embassy and the bank and what forms do I need to supply .

• You must be prepared to pay the non-refundable application fee of US$404.00 or the equivalent in Dominican pesos per child. This fee must be paid at window 12 once you are inside the consular section building. We can only accept payment in one currency (i.e., you must pay the total entirely in U.S. dollars or entirely in Dominican pesos). We accept cash and several international credit cards. Note that this fee does not apply to K2 and K4 derivative children.
• There must be an Affidavit of Support (form I-864, www.uscis.gov) from the petitioner (even if he is unemployed). You must ensure that all children applying to join the Principal Applicant in the U.S. are included in the form. In addition to the form, he/she needs to submit the last declaration of tax (1040), and a copy of the LPR. The petitioner is the person who filed papers for the Principal Applicant to receive his/her visa. Note that K2 and K4 derivative children do not need an affidavit of support.

5 Non US Citizen Spouse's Electronic I-94 Copy or (for older entries) a copy of a valid paper I-94 (front and back of form) : i printed the one you get from the website

6 A copy of the intending immigrant's birth certificate along with English translation. (If in any language other than English) : this one confuces me, how is this done in a way that will make it look like the original ?? can you just used a page with the exact size and translate line by line what it says ?

7 A certified copy of your marriage certificate. (If filing for your spouse) : we are already married and have a certified document so well provided a copy of the marriage certificate

8 Two passport-type photos : check

9 G-325A filled out, signed and dated. : check

10 I-864, Affidavit of Support : check

11 I-131, Application for Travel Document : i will probably will have to fly back to DR to get my daughter " following to join" before i get my green card from the uscis , how long does it take them to send this document back to you ?

12 I-693, Medical Examination of Aliens Seeking Adjustment of Status. If you are a K-1, K-2, K-3 or K-4 visa holder the I-693 instructions state that you are not required to have another medical examination as long as your Form I-485 is filed within one year of your overseas medical examination. Regardless of if you are exempt from a medical exam, you are still required to complete certain portions of the I-693 and have a Civil Surgeon certify the form (and seal it in an evelope). Specifically, you will complete Part 1 (Information about you) of the I-693 and provide both the form and your DS-3025 : i have the ds-3025 and ill contact a civil surgeon so they can complete the rest of the form

lastly we might not be able to send the package before the 90 limit ends ! maybe a week later ! what problems might we encounter because of that ?

btw flying for the first time is a hell of an experience, now i know why some people get drunk to be able to travel lol

we ask them to hold it in santo domingo after they received it we booked the tickets and pick it up, left next day from santo doming airport !

no i didnt but you can, i dont remember the last time i was sick enough to go to the hospital, they ask you some questions and base on those they decide what vaccines you need

The medical was 8300 pesos and I only paid 1350 for the vaccines since they didn't think I need them all
