You properly should contact them and give them the divorce decree.

It will not speed time up and he will still have to wait his turn.

I have done some reading and i havent seen any suggestions about you as a permanent resident without any restrictions should notify USCIS  about your divorce, As far as i understand, the K2 status depends on the original K1 status, He actually had his biometrics taken about a month about  so i hope the case is moving smoothly  but i might be wrong.

I figured you just read it wrong.
OP is just worried because roc takes so long and that she got the GC but forgets her sons ROC is not pending with hers at the time so they don’t connect the two.

Exactly, this is what I am worried, I already have my ROC done but because my child arrived 1 year later than me his case is handle base on the date that he was admitted, the ROC has been filed for him but while is being processed the divorce happened, I wonder if they will take that in consideration.

  3. Hello my friends,

I will try to make this short and straight to the point, after years of being in a relationship and a lot of cheating and abuse from my ex  we called it quits, Now, i have my 10 year green card on hand but my child came a year later than me and with the all the delays from USCIS and those infamous status extensions letters my child do not have his 10 year green card, his extension letter is good till the end of 2020 but i feel unease about it, Isnt his case automatically approved because mine is already done ?  Should i worry ?

    Congrats!

Yes if your sons ROC was filed separately then it will not come the same time as yours as it is seen as two different cases.

Im going to have to call USCIS then, His GC expired in december and we never received extension letter for either of us, i got my passport stamped but i thought once my case was approved his would be too at the same time since we are part of the original petition, the only difference is that he came a year after me. thanks for the reply !!

  5. Guys, what a ride !!! finally today i received my permanent 10 years green card, i wanted to share the good news with you all, we did all this by ourselves with your help, patience and a lot of reading, i received the RFE on November 19, 2018 and finally today 3/7/2019 i received my GC on the mail.

i also file for my son as K2 and his ROC was received on october by USCIS but his card did not came in the mail with mine, is this normal ?? he came a year after me so does that mean he will have to wait another year to received his permanent GC ?

    Did you try calling?

Previously, we sent you a notice of receipt for the Petition to Remove Conditions on Residence (Form I-751) that you filed.

If your 12-month extension has expired, you must schedule an appointment with your local District office as indicated below to receive a stamp in your passport to extend your authorization of work and travel for another year.

i was able to get an appointment on another state rather than mine, i had to drive all day but i got my stamp and it was extended for a full year starting today !!!  my previous letter expired back on sep so now on to that RFE that i received.

  8. First they did not mailed me my extension letter, second they RFE me and on top of that after inquiring about my extension letter that i should had had received already i get this !!

U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) sent you a notice of receipt for the Petition to Remove Conditions on Residence (Form I-751) that you filed.  Recently, you informed USCIS that you did not receive that receipt notice.  As of today’s date, we have mailed a duplicate receipt notice to the address provided with this inquiry.

Please note that the Receipt Notice of Action (Form I-797) you will be receiving for your Form I-751 guarantees that your conditional permanent resident status is extended for 18 months beyond the expiration date shown on your Conditional Permanent Resident Card. You may use this document as proof of pendency for employment and travel purposes.

We hope this information is helpful to you.

  12. hello folks,

im so frustrated right now, i showed them all the proof regarding my pending immigration case, i even printed the uscis notice regarding the second extension letter being mailed out and they pretty much laugh about it, my driver license expire next week and im freaking out, i havent been able to schedule a infopass because there are non available !!   according to the law they are supposed to give me a 120 day license renewal but they denied it too https://dds.georgia.gov/information-non-us-citizens   and http://gov.georgia.gov/sites/gov.georgia.gov/files/related_files/document/SB 122.pdf
