  1. Thanks so much everyone. It's so good to see so many approvals! Hopefully more today.

I'm not sure that contacting the senator's office really helped. But it definitely didn't hurt if not to at least give some kind of peace of mind that someone in government was actually on your side doing something and could possibly find out more about your case than you probably could by yourself. Once I contacted her office, I stopped feeling the urge to call USCIS anymore.

Don't give up hope!!!! I contacted my Senator's office with the privacy release form, and a copy of the NOA1. She was on TSC wicked fast! She called every 2 days, and called me personally to give me the updates. Within 2 weeks time, I now have my NOA2 after waiting since January 9th. Don't bother calling USCIS.....call the Senator! I contacted both of mine...one didn't help, and the other was totally with me and set a fire under them! I cannot stress enough that Senators are the ones that really get our January cases moving.....well, especially in my case. I'm sending her a bouquet of flowers today for all of her hard work and perseverance in helping us seek justice :content:

  2. so my fiance contacted 2 senators and 1 congressman. 1 senator ignored his letter completely, 1 senator replied with some polite words like immigration is important for them blah blah. and the congressman representative replied quickly, and looks like the's interested in us :) this is what she told my fiance:

"I contacted the TSC and the case was Pulled on the 10th and is on its way to an officer to get worked. I will call again on Friday!"

I totally hear ya! I sent my privacy release forms to one Senator's office where the rep was rude, arrogant, and truly didn't care.....(haven't heard from them at all)...and then my other Senator keeps calling TSC every 2 days and calling me once a week (or more) on where things stand thus far. Good luck!

  3. What's worse is their attitude..we are paying fees up and down this road.. They are working for us , not the other way around.

Totally agree, Cristina! I called last week, and asked to be transferred to a Tier 2 officer and she REFUSED! So I kept saying im glad this is being recorded for all purposes and hope you find yourself a new job because I asked to be referred and you DENIED me! She goes well I answered your questions and I told her no, you actually didn't and I asked to be transferred. I got her ID number, name, and everything! They are sooo rude! Yes, we wait and we pay fees and its a big process. However, we don't need their attitudes on top of all the stress we are currently under with their huge processing delays, our fiance's being overseas, and the amount of paperwork, etc. etc. etc...

  4. Oh wow, that's great to hear! Thanks for the info! I'm going to get my fiancé to fill out Murphy's contact form and see if we can get in touch. Our NOA1 date is 4th Feb, so we're only just over the 5 month mark, but I hope we both receive something before the beginning of August!

Also, I just noticed, you're or your fiancé is from Branford! I was working there last year, and living in New Haven for 5months. Awesome restaurants in Branford! :-)

Yes! Contact Senator Murphy because I told them that ALL of Connecticut gets processed at TSC. Hopefully you get assigned to the nice woman I have working on my case! Having 2 Senators might be better than 1, lol. :D YES! I live in Branford, originally from Madison (still on the Shoreline of CT). It's beautiful and we do have some nice restaurants. I take it since you lived in New Haven, you also tried Pepe's Pizza? Very famous! :) I was hoping my fiance who lives in Romania would have been here by May....late June at the latest, so he could participate in the fireworks here, but now I am pushing for the end of August. I work at a school, and would like to fly there to Romania for the interview, so if I can do it during the summer, that would be even better as opposed to beginning of a school year.

FINGERS CROSSED! Let me know if you hear anything, Jessica!!!

  5. Hey! That's so awesome to hear!

Can I ask which senator you got in contact with? My fiance contacted Senator Blumenthal last week, and we had just this second received an email and phone call to say they are working on our case with USCIS (should hear back within 1-2 weeks).

    Best of luck!!

Thanks!!! I contacted both Senator Blumenthal and Senator Murphy. Senator Blumenthal assigned my case to a woman who was sooo rude! When I told her about CSC and how they are processing faster and the discrepancies between TSC and CSC, she told me "Well CSC doesn't concern you...." and when I told her how I filed January 9th and its past the 5 months....I got the "well, I GUESS I can contact them, but you're still within the processing time". THAT'S when I contacted Senator Murphy's office. Senator Murphy's office assigned me to an AMAZING person who called and e-mailed the SAME DAY when she got my Privacy release and NOA1. We talked and she was livid that it was taking so long and that it wasn't right that CSC was processing faster, and how the website is lying, and we can't get answers through the number of USCIS. She then contacted TSC and found out my file was pulled. She called them back 4 days later...(this past Monday)...sent an e-mail to them (yesterday) DEMANDING they process my case expeditiously since it was, indeed, past the 5 month mark, and she wrote to say she is following up with a phone call today in regards to her e-mail and contacting me tomorrow with updates. Murphy's office has done TONS more than Blumenthal's!

Good luck to you guys as well!!!

  6. Hey everyone!

So! My Senator contacted me today. They have been on TSC for about a week and a half. As soon as they received my privacy release form and NOA1, they set out on TSC like piranhas! My Senator's office called and told me that my case had been pulled and was in transit to an officer. I said "Dont be fooled!" They probably say that to Senators to let them know something is moving with my case...when in reality, they either lost it or can't find it. She called again 4 days later (Monday).....they told the same story "in transit to an officer." When my Senator told me this, I laughed and said, "WOW! His desk must be VERY far away for it to travel 4 days to a desk!! Maybe he's in another state hahaha". My Senator sent them an e-mail yesterday (Tuesday) and DEMANDED they process my application expeditiously since it is one month overdue. They are calling TSC back today to follow-up on the e-mail. I really love my Senator's office....they are so helpful.

She also explained not to bother with the call center. When Senators call the USCIS, they speak to Congressional Senators WITHIN THE USCIS!!!! They dont talk to reps or officers! So the call centers dont have the same information as those guys (Congressional Senators of the USCIS) do. Hope this information helps!

  7. I filed my I-129F on january 6, 2014, when will i be able to make a inquiry of outside normal processing times? when do you think i will be ajudicated according to my file date. why is it that some people get ajudicated faster than others?

Hiya! I filed mine on January 6th, too. Unfortunately, we aren't able to make an inquiry until AFTER TSC has passed the January 6th processing date (according to the USCIS phone number, which is $@@%@). Yes, our case is past that 5 months that they stated prior, and yes they do say processing time is 5 months. But when you ask for an inquiry, they say "ohhhh, well it's still within normal processing times." and then they change the whole theory of what exactly is "5 months", which in TSC is basically a mystery. As for myself, I filed a congressional inquiry with my Senator. I printed out the privacy release form, sent them my NOA1, and in 2 days, they told my Senator my case was "in transit to an officer". That case "in trasit to an officer" is taking 4 days....his desk must be very far away...perhaps in another state! LOL! My Senator has been on their case for a week, and DEMANDED they process my application expeditiously since it's now at the 6 month mark and contacts them a few times a week and then reports back her findings. So I am letting her take the reins, and set a fire under them.

I suggest you get your Senator involved as well, Roman, to help speed things up. It doesn't hurt and it's easy to do.

  8. No, he hasnt moved since. He has been in Virginia the entire time, although he did move 6 months prior to that (from Georgia). I'm trying not to get my hopes up, although it is teetering on that and being worried as ours is the only case that I have seen transferred.

He hasn't spoken or contacted anyone about it, although at the start of the process he did hire a lawyer, which as far as I can tell has been a waste of money. The lawyer didnt even respond to him the last time he tried to contact him (about a month ago) which also seems a bit wrong (for lack of a better way to put it). We both don't like to make waves, but I think the waiting is driving me more nuts than him.

Virginia, you say?! That's AWESOME! I'm up north in Connecticut, so maybe there is some hope that the "old dusty cases" are getting transferred to CSC after waiting sooo friggin long! Woot woot! I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you, Euphoria!!! \o/

Hey guys, while I was waiting for almost 6 months for approval, I decided to keep a chart of a bunch of SRC numbers that were below mine. I found about 70+ plus numbers that were for I-129F, and they pretty much had dates that matched. Periodically, I would scan through and update them if anything happened. There was a rare approval or an RFE, but not much activity. Anyway, it has picked up as of late, but yesterday was a huge update. Of the 71 numbers I had charted, 13 got approved on 07/07/14. Only 13 had been approved prior to that. I would say that this whole "working on Dec 3rd" is BS....which you guys already knew.

O...M...G! That's such a great idea! I didn't even think of that! I just looked at numbers below and above, but didn't think to keep track on a chart! You're a GENIUS! \o/ Thank you thank you!

  9. If you mean the case status online it has the following:

"The I129F PETITION FOR FIANCE(E) was transferred and is now being processed at a USCIS office. You will be notified by mail when a decision is made, or if the office needs something from you."

Oooooo! Very cool! Did your fiancee move to a different state since you filed?? That's excellent news that you've been transferred to CSC!!!!

  10. thank you thank you~ !! very helpful - do you think its appropriate to contact them if im just now past the 5 month mark?

Is it a sooner the better scenario ? - thank you again.

    :luv:

Yes! I contacted mine after the 5 month mark. One senator said it was still in processing time....the other senator disagreed and sided with me 100%!!!! So I definitely think once its past that 5 month mark that USCIS puts on their website, you have EVERY RIGHT to contact your Senator...especially when USCIS tells us on the phone to wait an additional 1-2 months to make a service request (after waiting 5 months to begin with.)

  11. There are many of us waiting, but if i understand this timeline (above - quoted from "jfgk1987") they've been approved and filed in January -

so it would seem that they are working on January petitions now - which can give the rest of us hope! am i right? --- i hope so!

grasping for anything to hold on to - this process is so straining ----- but makes us grateful for the time we will be soon granted together

    with our partner.

They aren't working on January ones...still processing "December 3rd or 8th". Many of us have gotten our Senators involved to help set a fire under TSC to get things moving. JFQK as you quoted, got his Senator involved from NY. Mine from CT is also involved, and I filed January 9th. Let's hope more January filers are processed quickly with the help of all of our Senators!

  12. after 186 days...i received the notification that my K1 visa petition has been approved!!! i received the text and email at 8:31pm CST.

i filed a total of three service requests after i reached the five month mark. two senator inquiries and one online service request.

the second senator responded last monday (6/30) and said my petition should be approved within the next 10 days. i think this was the inquiry that assisted with my approval.

    YAY!!!! CONGRATULATIONS!!!! #SenatorsGetThingsDone@TSC!

  13. I am reaching 6 months on Wednesday (July 9th). My senator's office called me today. They contacted TSC and they told her they couldn't give her any information, because my case has been pulled and is now being reviewed by an officer (which I find hard to believe). I told her that they probably told her that because they are tired of Senator's on their case...sort of like how they tell us "December 3rd". Either that, or they lost my case. The senator told TSC she will call back mid-week for progress and told me she would also call me back mid-week to check back in. She's truly amazing, and I am so thankful I have my Senator's office fighting for justice! She sounds just as outraged as I am!

Anyone else got that response??? Where their case has been pulled and TSC cant give information due to it no longer being in the "file room" or whatever?

  14. I am so sorry for those still waiting. I just seen some late March filers get NOA-2's Why is TSC all over the place? My heart goes out!

I must be honest.....I get sooo beyond frustrated when I see people who file after me get their NOA2's before me. Granted, I am happy for all those who can move through this whole painful mind game of a system....but seriously, they need to process applications in the order in which they are received, unless they have special circumstances for an expedite. Taking applications all out of order isn't helping figure out their code...

  15. Looking at the stats for August and late 2013 when wait times between NOA1 and 2 where in the 2 to 3 month range makes me wonder what's going on at the Texas Service Center. It looks like they have slowed down to a trickle. It's taking them like 6 months on average. This delays the entire process to 8 months or more.

    What's going on?????

Hiya :) I am a January 9th, 2014 filer and still waiting on the NOA2. Texas is shady, but on another thread I see they are starting to process alot of late December 2013 people. As far as your question as to what is going on with Texas....well, ALOT of it had to do with the Typhoon in the Philippines. The USCIS were processing those applications as a priority, and completing them within 2 weeks time (NOA1 &NOA2). Now we have the whole Immigration Reform going on....my case will be 6 months on July 9th, and no NOA2 and no RFE, either. Like many waiting past the 5 months processing time posted on their website, we called the number, but have had to contact our Senators. According to others, the Senators are the ones who really get the heat under them. My Senator is currently awaiting my privacy release form and then going to make a Congressional Inquiry as to what is the hold-up with my case.

So my advice is....contact your Senator after 5 months, because it doesn't hurt and it's helped alot of people.

I can't imagine the wait time for future filers of 2015.....wonder if it will be just as long for them or longer

  16. We got a letter from the congressman saying he has inquired at TSC about our case and is expecting an answer back soon. Fingers crossed :( It's been almost 6 months, surely it should be arriving soon?!

I bet all of you do the same thing I do: wake up in the morning and immediately check my phone for a notification or e-mail. Or even check it in the middle of the night :rolleyes:And then another 18-25 times during the day..

I am pulling for you, @alissacarly!!! We are approaching the 6 month mark as well, on July 9th. I contacted one Senator who had someone assigned to my case who basically said..."who cares about California? It doesn't pertain to you, and your case is within normal processing time." My case was received by USCIS January 9th, so we have a similar timeline, you and I. :) I contacted my other Senator who assigned me to a sweetheart who not only e-mailed but CALLED on the same day, asking to fax over the privacy release and the NOA1, because it's definitely NOT OKAY and that they were, in fact, outside of the normal processing time of 5 months. Told her the story of the runaround, the different wait times those reps give you and how the December 3rd is a ploy. She is going to CALL and investigate! I'm hoping to hear good news from my Senator as well! Let us know what happens with your Senator, Alissa!!

You know.....we wait so long, and the fact we have to get Senators involved from so many states on the East Coast, should totally send up a red flag to the higher ups in government! #ThereIsSomethingWrongWithTSC

P.S. Can we please have a service center in one of the great states of New York, New Jersey, Massachusetts, or Florida? Like a nice fast moving state? ;) I bet the processing time might be just as fast as Cali.

  17. You know, more irritating than the CSC filers on a TSC thread grinning about how the got their NOA2 after a short wait is a filer who has waited longer than someone else and feels the need to remind them and the rest of world. You clearly haven't read or understood the original post which brings attention to the fact that us newer filers realize it's a long wait, we know it's a long wait, and just like arrogant filers like you, we're anxious to be reconnected with our loved ones. It clearly is meant to be interpreted that knowing this, as our hearts aren't on the same page as our minds, this doesn't stop us from anxiously checking the status of other filers in hopes that theirs will be spread up faster or maybe even workload transfer will occur so that this long wait will go by faster. All of us going through TSC are waiting for the same outcome, so please go sit in your chair and calm your itchy fingers before you and any other TSC filer who has issues with us describing our personal experiences feelings with wait times feel the need to give your two cents. You ain't slick throwing out a shady good luck message as if that's supposed to make your comment less rude. Madness, you and other people walking around like your wait time and separation from your loved one is worse than anyone else because you filed sooner. . .

WOW! First and foremost, I was trying to describe how much patience one needs for this process at TSC, because it's definitely not a fast one. Like I said, many of us wish we were at CSC due to the quick turnaround, but again as I said "we are dealt the cards we are dealt". I give advice and have the right to say what I feel, as do others. I wasn't attackful or wicked negative. As far as my good luck message being "shady", you clearly have no clue! Thanks for your assumptions. We all know what happens when you assume. ;) I meant my good luck and advice with all positive vibes, because we ALL need patience when it comes to every step in this process. Some roads are short (depending on situations), and others are long. However, I find it interesting and absurd you think my good luck message had false intentions behind it, when in fact, I was trying to be encouraging. BTW.... I never said mine or anyone else's wait time was worse, when there are people on VJ who have waited over a year for JUST the NOA2. Just mentioning how long some people have waited to give you an idea of a perspective at TSC.

Calm down, think positively (yes, I truly mean that...whether you believe it or not is a different story), and look to the future.

  18. I think complaining after waiting less than a month for an NOA2 is quite amusing. I have been waiting for my NOA 2 almost 6 months now...6 months on July 9th. I have no RFE's, either. If you are already impatient at less than a month, I wonder how you will feel at the 5 month+ or longer phase....

Think positively, have endless amounts of patience, and have faith that all will work out. There is no rhyme or reason as to why TSC is slower than CSC, and I think many of us which we were part of that CSC crowd so we could have our loved ones here. Unfortunately, we deal with the cards we were dealt.

Wishing good luck to all those who have waited 5 months or longer for the NOA2..... our time will come.

  19. To whoever is past the 5 months at TSC : contact your senator's office !!!

I thank Memphis's senator (Bob Corker)'s office! They made it happen, 2days after my fiancé sent in the form allowing them to check on our case we received our NOA2.

I thought it would take forever..!!!!

monday (day of our 5 months) my man called USCIS, they told him to call back the next day

5months+1day :: they tell him we'll have to wait an other 52days before we can call back again, my man sends the agreement form to the senator's office

5months+2days :: Senator's Office gives my man a call telling him if he doesn't hear anything about uscis in a month (month 6), he should contact the senator's office again

5months+3days :: My man tells me he received the NOA2 per mail around 8pm last night (5months+2days) he didn't tell me 'cause he knew I wouldn't sleep anymore if I knew lol ..

I checked on the uscis website & my man sent me the e-mail. Soo on our side website+email worked.

I contacted my Senator's office last week. On his website, he has several tabs, including Visas. He has a spiegl (a summary) of how he wants to help Connecticut residents, etc. etc. I printed out the form, mailed it in with a copy of my NOA1 received on January 13th. I was notified THAT DAY by e-mail that a constituent was assigned to my case and her name. I called her yesterday, she had a wicked attitude, and said that my January case of January 9th was within normal processing time...it didn't matter what CSC's processing time was....she didn't seem to care about the runaround of TSC....it seems the Senator and this constituent have differing views on the residents of the state of Connecticut and visas. After pushing the issue, she said she would send in an inquiry but that USCIS usually takes 3 business days to respond. I totally wish the actual Senator was handling this case and NOT the snobby constituent who seems like she cares about my case like she cares about a passing cloud....

  20. SOOOO! I just called USCIS! We cant do a service request until AFTER they work on the cases with our dates. SOOOO if Texas is working on December 3rd...and your case (like mine) is January 9th....you can't fill in a service request until they are processing January 10th and you didn't hear anything. THIS IS B%#$@#$@#!!!!!! So basically, we can wait until December 2014??????

  21. a question for the people who have emailed senators and congressmen, did you have to attach a privacy release form or anything similar for them to speak on your behalf or was it not needed?

    thanks!

For my congressman, I had to fill out a privacy release form online using their website where it asks for basic information including your case number and what the exact problem is, print it out (it was all typed), and included my NOA1 so they could have ALL the information! Then I sent it away to the congressman. i received an e-mail later that day from his office saying someone from his office was assigned to my case. So far, nothing, but it's only been a week. It can't be worse than TSC's wait! lol.
