We were denied last year for no reason other than the CO didn't think we would get married and also questioned our 11 year age difference. 3 months after the denial I went there to talk to someone about the denial and was told to get married because it's really hard to convince the CO if you're not married. We married May 2014 filed September approved December applied for expedite and was approved now my husband has his interview June 23rd. Sorry and it was the worst feeling in the world. I look at it as delayed but not denied

Our K1 was denied and we showed proof of paying a deposit on our wedding and we lost all our money. They do not care if you lose money. That's not a reason for an expidite....sorry

Income for 4 people in the household is 30,000 I have 22,227 income 5,000 in savings and 7,000 for both cars so if they use only one car then it looks like 34,227. Is that good? We got a sponsored lined up still.

Our case was completed yesterday at the NVC But they are telling us we must get a sponsor lined up just in case they don't use my assets. Is this normal should I worry or just stay calm. My income alone wasn't enough so I used my 2 cars and money in my savings account. Any suggestions would be gladly appreciate.

Hey have them to write a letter on your behalf of possibly being deployed at any given time. Then u also have to write a letter on your behalf. Its worth a try. My expedite was successful and it was because health reasons.

You can call and ask for expedite.....or submit your documents through email......it has to be a good reason for expedite. It's always worth a try. But it has to be done before they view your package.

I'm confused about this as well because on the checklist it doesn't state the 2x2 passport pic.....it just says copy the bio page of the passport

We spent thousands of dollars on everything and even contacted the congressman and they wouldn't even return his call.

well I sent them my engagement ring... our wedding bands... proof of booking the venue and convo's with me and him and me and his mom! I don't know what else they could want

They did us the same way 3 times and ended up with a denial.....So we ended up getting married and filed for I-130.....CO told us to just get married because it's really hard to show proof that we are really getting married once he arrived. 2 time around for us we at the NVC stage now....So Sorry Wish u luck

If I was you I would have her to come to the interview for support and since she only been there once and the length of stay wasn't long.

I was told from NVC u only need the last recent tax return. So I'm sending in my 2014 I filed mines last week. And if your appointment is after April you will have to show the 2014 tax return at your interview

Helllo VJ members, I need some Help please, so I called the embassy number today to get information on my K1 petition and the person I spoke to said they were able to schedule my appointment on the phone so I went ahead and scheduled the appointment, the thing is I never received an appoint letter or the packet 3 with any instruction but the man at the embassy said I was ready and scheduled my appointment which is great, but now im confused because I don't know what packet 3 is, do i have to mail any documents to the embassy or will my fiancée have to take those in person like the I-134, also is the confirmation letter with the barcodes considered the interview letter. please any help will be much appreciated. Call them back and tell them you need the emailed sent with the checklist of the documents you need..........Every document will be colleceted and the interview......so if you are not going to be at the interview then you will have to send the documents to your fiancee
