Hey we turned in our EFE two weeks after his interview....would haven't been sooner if he wasn't turned away from the embassy after waiting over 4hrs. So do we call or email them about the expiration date...im the petitioner in the US
-
NOA2 expiry date will be extended or you can write an extension letter. What is going to expire will be your 221g if its still pending reply from you
-
Perhaps you could clarify a few things here.
You did or didn't have the interview?
If you did, are you saying he was denied? ".....he wasn't approved to receive his visa"
If he was denied, or you didn't yet have an interview, then the K-1 visa couldn't have expired as you wouldn't have had one yet.
Please tell us more so that we can better advise you.
Its the NOA2 it expired yesterday
-
Our petition was approved on 10/15/13 and expired 2/14/14...His interview was 1/28 he wasn't approved for his visa was given the 221G form....
-
Ok yesterday our K-1 Visa expired.....but we waited over almost 3 months b4 our interview date.....he wasn't approved to receive his visa....He was given the 221G form which said RFE on our relationship we turned in the evidence b4 the expiration date whats gonna happen or what should we do?

For K1 CEAC select 'Immigrant'
Derwood, Thank you

It took our approval 4months... 1 month at the NVC then couple weeks b4 we heard from the embassy we waited 2 months b4 his interview. Now we waiting bc at his interview they requested more evidence of our relationship so now we playing the waiting game again. If he was in the US illegal I think thats a big red flag especially if you told them.....

We started our process 4 years ago and I learned along the way that I can control only what I can control. I anticipated the worse case and planned ahead with getting the proper documentation and that's all I could do. The rest was left up to those behind the counter. Just a heads up to what you can expect on the other side.... you will have the AOS to contend with. So the journey continues...
I wish you luck and Gods speed.
Thanks

I am the petitioner who filed for the K-1 visa.....just wanting to know about checking my status on the CEAC website!
-
Ok so why under immigrant it has two statuses AP and Ready do anyone know?
-
My question is why under non immigrant it says no status... but under immigrant it says AP and Ready....we sent in our RFE on this past Wednesday and it was updated on 2/14
-
Yes I mean the CEAC.....which is correct non immigrant or immigrant bc my fist response said non immigrant? I check non immigration and it say no status....check immigrant and it says AP and ready with two statuses at the bottom. Im I'm confused. We filled K-1 visa
-
We are doing the waiting game too (In tears) This is so hard!
-

So u had your interview and was given the 221G form and you submitted ur documents so who did you call that said you was approved?
-
Anything that you have been convicted of whether charges was dropped or dismissed you still have to put it down with supporting paperwork
-
Thanks, im feeling sad as of now....just keep us in your prayers!

Today my fiancé is traveling back to Yaounde, Cameroon to the embassy.....tomorrow he will be turning in all of his RFE.....whats happens after this stage will they call him to do another interview? Or will they make a decision from the additional evidence?
