  1. So my fellow Augustines that have been left behind. I've been calling USCIS to bug them regularly. On the USCIS website under average processing times for the California Service Center it is showing in the graphical bar 7 months from NOA1 to approval. Also if you search for the table it says that CSC is currently working on I-130's for a U.S. citizen filing for a spouse from August 1st, 2013. This was reported as of January 31, 2014. So let's see it's been almost 2 months since then and they haven't been able to get to our case (NOA1 August 6, 2013). I spoke with tier 1 initially and he tried to tell me they were being processed in the order that they were received, I actually laughed at him a little bit over the phone. After I explained this to him he told me he couldn't put in a service request because his system would not allow him to do it because the date posted on the website was not past our date yet (by 5 measly days). I asked him if it was worth my speaking with a tier 2 about and he said no they wouldn't be able to do anything, so I hung up. Then I picked up the phone and called right back and spoke with a tier 2 and they put in a service request right away after I explained how what they were posting on the website was incorrect! And that it couldn't possibly take 2 months to process 5 days worth of applications. They told me that I should hear something back in a few weeks which will be the first week of April.

Good luck to you all, hopefully they'll remember to approve the rest of us soon!

  2. 42 days at CSC that's something unusual.

Did you call Uscis and talk with tier 2 ?

Might be you got RFE and they sent to old address.

don't withdraw your 129f but you can call expedite your 129f..

don't ask question to tier 2 but instead of asking question tell them that you want to create service request.

    Make info pass appointment also..

Deep, I spoke with tier 2 and they're basically just telling me to keep waiting. What would I put as reason for infopass? Too long of processing time or what? Did you do infopass appointment, was it helpful at all?

  3. Hey guys, our noa-1 was August 6, transferred February 6th to CSC. We also filed a 129F in January which was transferred on Feb. 12th to CSC. We then changed our address on both applications. It seems like we have been put in the "forgotten" pile and are going to have to wait a while for approval. IF they're processing from June now ("forgotten" piles like ours) then we're looking at another 2 months worst case scenario right? Is it worth submitting expedite request? Pulling I129F? I've called USCIS tier 2 twice and they just keep saying we're within normal processing time but that our I129F could actually get adjucated before our I130 and that I130 is taking 13 months from NOA1. I know they just say very general, vague stuff but do you guys think there's anything else we can do? What is "normal processing time"? For CSC they're showing 7.1 months on USCIS website but it's now longer than that for us. I guess averaging out all the other lucky August applicants who got approved :(

  4. Seems like my partner and I are the only few left with transfer date Feb 3rd who still haven't been approved or sent an RFE!

I have a question. A few weeks ago our I 129f said our alien registration number was changed, I really thought this meant we would get good news soon.

But still no news. What do you guys think is happening? Why did they change the alien registration number? Do you think they'll take us down the K3 path?

  5. I'm wondering if some people got approvals and moved on to NVC without posting on VJ?

Are you all still out there waiting as well? I know a few from TSC which might be a little slower, but have you all heard anything? We got transfer noticed on 3 of February to CSC and no approval yet. Congrats to those that have gotten it, I hope the rest of us get approved soon.

  6. We haven't been approved yet, PD Aug 6 and transfer date Feb 3.

We heard back about our i129f though!! Strange because we submitted it so late, January. Just thought we'd let you know, not sure of the relevance!

On February 20, 2014, your Alien Registration Number was changed relating to your I129F, PETITION FOR FIANCE(E).

So happy for everyone with their approvals!!!!! Yeaahhhhh baby!!! Giving us hope that our approval is just around the corner :)

  7. our lawyer gave us this info for next step- look correct>? I have not had a chance to read the massive first 2 posts on the Feb NVC thread but will ..

"I wanted to give you an idea, just in case you were not aware, of the next steps of your process after the I-130 Petition is approved and the approval is sent to the National Visa Center (NVC):

USCIS Sent My (Approved I-130) Immigrant Visa Petition to the NVC. Now What Happens?

1 The NVC will invoice the Petitioner for the Affidavit of Support (Form I-864) and the Immigrant Visa Application fees (Form DS 260). NOTE: We cannot pay these fees until the NVC receives the I-130 approval and fee bills are issued.

2 Once all the fees have been paid, we need to compete the Immigrant Visa Application and send the NVC the Affidavit of Support and all the required Supporting Documentation (Please see below list of Supporting Documentation). NOTE: We cannot complete the DS 260 or send the Affidavit of Support and Supporting Documentation until the NVC has confirmed receipt of fee payment.

3 Once the Immigrant Visa Application is completed and submitted, and all the required Supporting Documentation is received, the NVC will send a letter confirming their file is complete and they will hold the Immigrant Visa Application until an interview can be scheduled with a consular officer at the U.S. Embassy or U.S. Consulate General abroad.

4 Once the U.S. Embassy or U.S. Consulate provides an interview date and time, they will send us a letter with all of the interview information including information about the Medical Examination. NOTE: The Medical Examination can only be done approximately 2 or 3 weeks prior to the interview date. You will hand provide the Medical Examination to the U.S. Embassy or U.S. Consulate the day of your interview.

    Supporting Documentation

    · Birth Certificate(s) - You (and any family member(s) immigrating with you to the United States) must obtain an original birth certificate issued by the official custodian of birth records in your country of birth, showing your date of birth, place of birth, and parentage Important Notice: All Immigrant Visa applicants must submit a long form original birth certificate. Short form birth certificates will not be accepted. The certificate must contain the: Date of birth, Place of birth, Names of both parents, Indication by the appropriate authority that it is an extract from the official records REQUIRED OF PETITIONER AND BENEFICIARY

    · Court and Prison Records (if applicable) ONLY BENEFICIARY

    · Deportation Documentation (if applicable) ONLY BENEFICIARY

    · Marriage Certificate - If you are married, you must obtain an original marriage certificate, or a certified copy, bearing the appropriate seal or stamp of the issuing authority.

    · Marriage Termination Decrees (if applicable) You must obtain an original divorce decree, death certificate, or a certified copy, bearing the appropriate seal or stamp of the issuing authority ONLY BENEFICIARY

    · Military Records (if applicable) ONLY BENEFICIARY

    · Color photocopy of valid passport Biographic Data Page ONLY BENEFICIARY (We already have this in our file.)

    · Photographs Two (2) identical color photographs (Passport Style) ONLY BENEFICIARY

    · Police Certificates - Each applicant aged 16 years or older must submit police certificates that: (1) Cover the entire period of the applicants residence in that area; (2) is issued by the appropriate police authority; and (3) includes all arrests, the reason for the arrests(s), and the disposition of each recorded case ONLY BENEFICIARY

How do I obtain a police certificate? Immigrant visa applicants who have resided in the United Kingdom for six months or more since the age of sixteen are required to obtain a Police Certificate from the Association of Chief Police Officers Criminal Records Office (ACRO).

In order to complete the Affidavit of Support (Form I-864) we will need from PETITIONER:

1- Income Tax forms for 2013 with all supporting schedules

    2- Form W-2 for 2013

3- Statement from your employer on business stationery (A letter from your employer must show the date you began employment, the type of work done, and your income.)

    4- Copy of Drivers License"

So we have to submit the original original original birth cert?? Is a US notarized copy not enough?

    Does anyone know?

I just don't feel so comfortable sending originals by mail... If it gets lost, it'll be so difficult to retrieve because I was born in a random country.

  8. Did you sign up for an account on the uscis website? The g-1145 (or whatever) is only good for an email of your NOA1. After that, if you want email updates you have to sign up for them. There's a link under Tools on the uscis website. If you didn't do that yet, that's why you haven't got an email about your transfer.

Thanks for that. We are the in the same position as Suzu!

    Will do that now!

  9. question, what is the priority date... is it the date on the top left of the NOA1? or is it the date which pops up saying USCIS mailed you a notification on August 12, 2013 indicating.... blah blah... ? those dates are not the same. i am now getting confused...

also NBC will be open folks!!!!! here is to hoping we get transferred today! :)

On your i-797C you receive for your NOA1, there's a little box that says priority date. That's the priority date that I'm going by. Sorry about the delayed response!!

  10. I never got a text/email, but just checked the USCIS website and we've been transferred!!!!! Looks like they made it through a bunch today!

OK PARTY PEOPLE IN THE HOUSEEEE!

"On February 3, 2014, we transferred this case I130 IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN to another office for processing and sent you a notice explaining this action."

PD 6th Aug. We had an 129F filed in January. We filed from Australia both USC and 'alien'.

All the August babies are getting their dancing shoes on!!!!

I'm having another glass of wine.
