This question is in Online Immigrant Visa and Alien Registration Application (DS-260) . Present and previous Address Information My birthday is 11/03/1988 . I'm the applicant .

The petitioner's birthday is 02/10/1989

My case is I-130 petition , I have paid AOS fee online 88$ and I filled form DS-261 (Online Choice of Address and Agent) and I got a reset . But my question is .Should I wait NVC to send me The Affidavit of Support , or I have to download it from USCIS website ??

Upon receipt of the DS-261, we will send instructions for paying the immigrant visa application fee. All future correspondence will be sent to the agent at the address selected on the DS-261.

What should I do after getting my invoice number , should I wait NVC to send me The Affidavit of Support , or I have to download it from Uscis website ??

Same here its been 10 months and 4 days nothing still so sad miss him so much some time I think am I ever going to see him again what if something happens to me just crazy things go in my mind :-(:-(:-(:-(:-(

I have received my invoice id number and my case number from National Visa Center after waiting 2 months . They asked me to pay online 88$ to the Affidavit of Support form and I did .

I read from the NVC filers thread (http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/483206-nvc-filers-march-2014/)

that the line is a busy a lot, but you just have to keep on dialing again and again until you get through. Good luck!

Have you called NVC? I believe you have to call them in order to get your new case number and to know the current status of your case.

After USCIS approval , we have to wait 30 days . I tried to call them , but line is always busy . I have sent a message for them . nothing till now

On January 29, 2014, we shipped this approved or re-affirmed case to the Department of State for visa processing. For more information, please contact them directly.

Till now , I haven't heard anything from National Visa Center .

what does priority date means and how can I follow my case ??

Priority date : June 10, 2013

I called customer service yesterday and talked to a Tier 2 officer. She said there was no activity on my case. She opened an inquiry which she said was similar to e-request; and i got approved today.

I-797 notice of action

The above petition has been approved . We have sent the original visa petition to the Department of State National Visas Center(NVC) .32 Rochester Avenue , Portsmouth,NH 03801-2909 . NVC processes all approved immigrant visa petitions that need consular action .It also determines which consular post is the appropriate consular to complete visa processing. NVC will then forward the approved petition to that consulate .

The NVC will contact the person for whom you are petitioning concerning further immigrant visa processing steps .

YOU should allow a minimum of 30 days for Department of State processing before contacting the NVC .

After you get the approval from USCIS, you will wait until your case arrives in NVC. Once your case arrives in NVC, NVC will ask you to wait 10 to 20 business days for a case number. 20 business days for me sums like almost a month waiting there again, of course, the holidays and weekends. After getting your case number, you will be asked to submit and pay AOS and IV fee which is let's say would take about 2 weeks to complete because even if you want to pay, you have to wait for invoice. After sending all the needed documents, tax returns, I-864 and other things, there is another 6 to 8 weeks until NVC tells you "case complete." After case complete, NVC will send it to US embassy in China and then after that they will tell you when is your interview. Some people who are expedited or those that do DCF will be faster maybe 1 month total but in general, after USCIS stage, NVC stage is 3 to 5 months. If you want to check, you can click on other people's profile/timeline from china with IR/CR-1 visa too, so you can have a better idea. Goodluck!
