    It will happen, every day that passes is another step closer.  It's not like you have been forgotten, it's just the odd way they processes petitions - probably some IOs are slower than others, and maybe the USCIS doesn't use Salesforce.  I remember years ago someone posted a photo of the processing center and all these cases were just stacked in these bins... it did NOT look very organized.

    Update!!!! went for my interview as planned and just before 12 an announcement was made that the office would close due to the snow, everyone there was rescheduled for 02/26/19 @ 8am. 

    I was the 1st one there not playing with them, went in interview went well 6 questions all related to the president, senator and world war II. I did need to bring an original document back which I did yesterday 02/28/19 @ 7AM and by the time I got to work I check and the status changed to we approved your application.

     

    We placed you in line for your oath ceremony and will send you a notice for Receipt Number IOE, with the date, time, and location of your oath ceremony. You should receive your notice within 30 days of its mailing date. Please follow the instructions in the notice. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.

    Congratulations!  It's a great feeling!

    Just came back from my n400 interview today at the Atlanta field office and i am proud to announce that I passed.

    Interview was 9:10am was called in a few minutes after that. The waiting room was pretty empty with only 5 people waiting.

     

    The IO, was very young, friendly and welcoming. She asked me to give her my ticket,  put my things down, remain standing. Next she told me raise my right hand and recited the , "do you swear to tell the truth....." pledge and i responded with, I do. I was starring intently into her eyes when she was reciting it and i think she may have gotten shy cos she looked away several times and it was like she wanted to laugh....that random cue really calmed my nervousness. She proceeded to collect my green card, drivers license, passport and interview letter.

    Like everyone's mentioned there was a huge stack of my immigration file on her desk. She told me to take a seat and took my fingerprints (index finger for both hands) and my picture.

     

    Then she said she would start with reading, writing, history and go over my n400 doc.

    Reading (the text appeared on the tablet in front of me):
    Who elects congress?

    Writing (on the tablet that was glitchy but she apologized):

    I wrote, the people elects congress.

    Questions:
    1. Name one US territory?
    2. Who was the president during the great depression and WWII?

    3. Who did America fight during WWII?
    4. What happened on September 11 2001?
    5. Who vetoes bills?
    6. Who makes federal laws?

    The she said, congrats you've passed you can now rest easy the only part left is question about you, you cant fail that. Then we both laughed.

    Then she asked if i traveled after filing the n400, i said yes...then she said is it the 15th of dec - 1st. She quickly added that the system just updated with the date and i don't have to show her my i-94 travel history. We moved on to the Yes/No questions pretty quickly. Everything except  if i ever failed to file taxes and if i was a member of a group was a No. For the taxes question, i didn't file for the 2013 tax year and she said she read my explanation and asked if that was the only year, i said yes. Then she moved on to the groups, i added my church and she confirmed it and moved on.

    My info popped up on the tablet for me to review and sign and that was pretty much it. She printed the paper that said i passed and congrats, then took copies of my passport/id/green card. 

     

    And that was pretty much it. The entire process took  about 10 mins

    I didn't have to show any evidence or recall any dates or explain anything. I thought would be grilled for not filing taxes for the 2013 tax year or asked about my marriage (we had somewhat of a stokes interview in 2013 cos they separated us). 

    My account hasn't been updated but my case status shows that my oath ceremony notice has been mailed.

     

    Thank you to everyone here. It has been a long but amazing journey, sharing our stories and learning from each other. I am truly grateful and thankful. 


     

    ps: not sure if it was because it was a Saturday morning but one of the IO was wearing pyjama pants and during my interview, the door was open so i could hear some of the IO's talking about dating while young vs dating older...a tad bit distracting. The entire office just seemed soooo relaxed weirdly enough...i felt over dressed lol.

     

    Congrats!  I have mine on Thursday in Baltimore.  I'm so nervous.

    Mine is at 7 am!  Yes to all originals if you submitted copies.  That's what the letter should say.

    For the civics test, some questions have multiple answers e.g.,:

    Do you have to remember all of these answers, or do you only have to remember one?  Some of these answers looks awfully similar.  It's confusing because some explicitly say give one answer e.g.,:

    I'm not sure, we had my wife's parents fedex her birth cert.  could you get it expedited from the state/county she was born?  getting a marriage cert is almost instant when you go in person, i figure it would be the same?

    Alicia I do not know how to respond to your post. Did you get invitation for the oath? Any changes in your account?

    Not sure.   How was your interview?  Can you give an overview of how it went/experience?  I'm excited and nervous for mine of the 28th.  Is it correct that your spouse doesn't need to be there?

    Got a text and email today saying my interview has been scheduled.  The document hasn't showed up on myUSCIS yet, and I obviously have yet got the letter. 

     

    Two questions: 

     

    1) How long from getting your interview scheduled to the interview?  Looks like for most it's just over 1 month, is that correct?

     

    2) Does anyone have any feedback/experience they would like to share? What's it like? How long is it? 

     

    OK I lied, more than two questions. 

     

    I am excited to be on the home stretch.
