DJans, What do I do if there are some things that might need to be updated, does the embassy update it or do we they never even sent us an email asking us to do anything though. Thank you so much for your reply...

My husband had his IR1 immigrant visa interview at the US Embassy in Algeria on July 17, 2019 and they told him Congratulations your visa is approved. The next day I checked the Visa status on the Ceac.state.gov website and the status changed from Ready to Administrative Processing. Today I logged on to the same site and it said this.
Summary Information
One or more Immigrant Visa (IV) Application(s) (form DS-260) on your case have been reopened because updates are required. Please update the DS-260(s) as directed and re-submit the form(s). If you have any questions, please contact your local U.S. Embassy or Consulate General. Information for U.S. Embassies and Consulates can be found at https://www.usembassy.gov/.
And the DS-260 is Re Opened but we don't know exactly what on the DS-260 that needs to be updated. the embassy didn't send us an email with directions on what to update. Has anyone ever heard of this?

I believe your case ID is the NVC Case Number it starts with 3 upper case letters followed by 10 numbers. Mine starts with ALG because my case is in Algeria.
-
Yes, my husband got me one and officially stamped and emailed it to me
Do you know how long they usually take from the time I send it to the time I actually get the visa?
Thanks for your help
It takes about 2 weeks sometimes sooner. That is my personal experience

He's not living with anyone. He's living in a motel on his own. I thought of doing a tourist visa because I didn't know if they would accept my husband invitation since he's not Algerian, but I wasn't sure if it would right to do a tourist visa since I am really going to see my husband. I have called the embassy so many times, but no one answers and I have emailed them as well.
You can do the Tourist Visa, you would submit with your application an itinerary of your airline travel and a confirmed Hotel reservation. Here is the number to The Algerian Embassy in Washington DC (202) 265-2800. I have called them before even though I had to submit my application to the Embassy in New York, they answered faster lol

Hello,
My husband is currently in Algeria. He's a Yemeni citizen, but because his case was transferred to Algeria, due to the war in Yemen, he's currently in Algeria. I would like to visit him (I am u.s. citizen). I know that I have to get a visa to get into Algeria, but my question is what type of visa would I need? Would it be a tourist visa, since my husband is not a citizen of Algeria? if it's a tourist visa, on the application form they asked for contact person in Algeria and I put my husband, would that be okay? thanks in advance
Hi, here is the Algerian Embassy Website http://www.algerianembassy.org/consular_affairs/visa_to_algeria.html..Youwould follow the directions.. I am married to an Algerian and I go to Algeria all the time on a Family visa. Before I married I went to Algeria on a Family Guest visit visa because his Mom sent me a notarized invitation letter that I sent in to the Algerian embassy with my application. Maybe the Algerian citizen your husband is staying with can send you a letter of invitation. On the application you would put the name of the Algerian who sent you the invitation. Here are the phone numbers for the Embassy: (212) 486-6930 (212) 486-6931 (212) 486-6932. If you need clarification. I hope this helps

I am going to start calling tomorrow, I will let you know if I get the same recording or hung up on haha.
I am still getting the same recording..Tomorrow I am calling the NVC super early
-
I think that is the only number. I haven't tried calling yet, I got the email that our case was sent to NVC on 11/28 (NOA2 11/19). I was going to wait until Friday to call since that will be 15 days since NOA2 approval. I hear a lot of people saying this week that they are getting that recording or else they just get hung up on due to call volume so I know you aren't the only one experiencing that. Hopefully we all can get through soon and case #!
Congrats on your NOA2 approval Cosmos22 I feel better now I thought gee this is strange just a recording and never an answer lol...

This whole NVC case completion waiting is ridiculous. How come they prioritize fiance visa while they make married couples away from each other for a long time? Don't they have life partners too? They don't know how it feels, and the burden of waiting.
I don't know why they prioritize K-1 visa's over CR1 visa's either it doesn't make sense to me to. I haven't seen my husband in 7 months I know it's not as long as some on here but that doesn't make it any easier. Hang in there someday this will all be over and all of us will have our spouses with us..

Quick update from me -- my petition was approved yesterday! Now starts the fun part waiting on NVC.
Goes to show the USCIS site is not accurate at all. June filer, it's our turn now! Good luck.!
Whoo hooo that's awesome congratulations!

Hey guys, I just spoke with USCIS and they said the website is accurate. It was updated on the 15th October and will be updated on the 15th of each month.
TSC is only processing March 25 so basically I have lost all hope now.
I called NSC and they said the same thing everything gets updated on the 15th of each month and there processing April 02, 2015. I was hoping to hear an approval next week..dang they need to hurry up
