So even if we maintain a bank account, local address and travel periodically that's not going to cut it?? I'm guessing that CBP may bring it to out attention upon entry? Possible solution for re entry later would be to obtain a Tourist Visa after it becomes a problem?

It seems like everything has been falling into a timeline and given the estimate of receiving my wife's green card in November 2015 we're moving to Panama and I'm retiring there taking up residency with her. My question is this; every how often shall we travel back to the U.S. to not jeopardize her green card and eventually her U.S. Citizenship. Let's just say that I had to follow all the rules starting with the Fiance Visa for us to stay together up until my planned retirement.

Anybody any idea on how long before that will be delivered??
Thanking you in advance

When filing for advance parole while waiting for my wife's AOS we actually placed dates and location of travel instead of just leaving it blank. Does anybody know if they will actually follow through with those locations and dates or will they leave it hopefully blank???

Hi all
I'm getting ready to file my wife's I-485 (adjusting status from her K-1),I-765, I-131 & my I-864 and was trying to ascertain if I had to include another 2 photos for the I-131. As it is I have 4 passport photos included for the 485 and 765. ??

Its starting to make more sense now and only one question remains: My son that I listed as claiming him
I only thought so because im paying child support, but I don't claim him on my taxes so im thinking that I probably don't really need to list him then as a dependent??

its making more sense now but only one question remains, I listed my son only because I pay child support, however I don't claim him on my taxes, so technically I probably don't even need to list him then, I think. What do you think?

I was under the impression that I was supposed to fill out that section, hummmmmm, confusing and the instructions dpnt really make it any clearer if your sponsored person is your wife because it just says add one if youre married
-
ok, well then in simple terms if my household is going to cover my fiancé/now wife, myself and my son not living with me but supporting financially is the count then going to be 3?? The sponsored fiancé/wife, myself and my son?
-
Under the instructions it states not to count one person twice and it says to add 1 if married. But now if your sponsoring your newly wed bride from a fiancé petition, then what?? So essentially if in my household im sponsoring my newly wed wife/former fiancé, myself and paying child support on my son whom lives with my Ex, how would I total that?? Help please, instructions are a little confusing. Thanks all

Does anybody know which Service Center processes AOS form the state of Florida in reference to a k1 so I can calculate the processing time???
-
Thanks for the information. And yes, been speaking to the Embassy and I even asked them if there's a time delay between the time that they receive it and the time that it's entered into the system and they stated that it's done immediately upon receipt. So, I guess we'll see and like you said, hopefully it'll be sooner than later, maybe anytime soon actually.

I've received the hard copy letter from the NVC advising that my k-1 petition was sent out August 25th and it has yet to arrive. According to the link provided on another date it still shows as "in transit" and only comes up under the search of an immigrant petition. Ive checked several other timelines showing time between the NVC and their corresponding Consulates, to include to San Jose & I can't figure out why it's taking so long to get there. I've also been calling every few days and still nothing. Anybody with any ideas???
-
Thanks all for the insight. Been calling the embassy every day lately to see if they've received it yet cause it was shipped out from the NVC on Aug 25th and I've already submitted the ds160 for my fiancée since she is here with me and I wanted to avoid the time delay of the Embassy contacting her since they would prob take longer to do that than for me to find out they have received it and I can then schedule the dr appointment from here and have the interview date scheduled too
-
I have also already downloaded the alledged packet 3 then I'm guessing because it's the list of doctors and medical instructions and aside from that I will be bringing all of the originals documents submitted with my original k1 petition and a copy of that petition as well. I think I am good to go then.

thanks for the advice. I'll ask them about the processing time of the visa on my next status update phone call

I received the letter from the NVC where they advised that my approved K-1 petition was sent to the Embassy of Costa Rica on August 25 and they provided me with it's corresponding case number, even though when I had spoken to them via telephone prior to the letter via US Postal they had stated that it was sent out on the 22nd, anyway, this is my question:
I have completed the DS 160 with my fiancée since she is here in the US with me and have already submitted it. Still waiting on the petitions arrival in Costa Rica so we can fly there and take care of business and then fly back. It's already been nearly 11 days and was wondering if there is any link or inside information on what else is going to be needed aside from my employment verification, financial support form and updated intention to marry letters so I can expedite in preparation. I've noticed links in reference to other Embassy's in reference to Packet 3 & packet 4 ( I believe there is no packet 4 in relation to my case. Can anybody advise, maybe other San Jose Costa Rica K-1 Petitioners??
Thanks guys

I've spoken to them twice, the first time they said that it takes them 5 weeks to receive it and 2 days ago they said 25 days. I don't know if they actually mean to process it because we all know it doesn't take that amount of time to receive it via some type of mailing system that they use. I couldn't get through today after being on hold for 45 minutes. Guess I'll try again tomorrow.

I'm a little confused as far as which on-line visa application shall I tell my fiancée in San Jose Costa Rica to complete prior to her interview. We have already been notified of our NOA2 of our K-1 and the petition is on its way to the NVC. Some websites advise D-160 and others D-156 so I am a little confused. I looked over the 160 and it requests to select which visa I see the B's and others and not the K. Can somebody explain and provide a direct link to the proper page please. Is it the same visa application that she completed for her tourist visa??, and if so it does not have the option of selecting a K visa.

Any k-1's from San Jose that have the address and or name of where to get the police reports needed for the Embassy interview and time frame to physically get them in hand??
And, forms of payment accepted at the Embassy to pay for the Fiance visa there, cash, credit card, is there an atm on site?
Thanks all. Just got notification of NOA2 and waiting for the hard copy. Fiance is here with me in the US and trying to plan our trip and hoping to knock out all that's needed in a10 day trip.

thank you all. Yes it does seem like tsc is catching up now
Waiting on AOS and then retiring with spouse to Panama
in Adjustment of Status (Green Card) from K1 and K3 Family Based Visas

ugh, yeah then guess that the Tourist Visa is the only option and I guess that the entire cost of the gc was what it cost to allow her to remain legally. Remaining another 3 years is most definitely out of the picture; retirements more important with a tourist visa option, lol
Thank you
