I will check around the three weeks mark. It sucks a little bit cuz I planned a vacation for the last week of Aug and the first week of Sept and this is when my case will probably be available at the Embassy, ugh!

The hard copy doesn't matter - since that's the speed of USPS to wherever you might be. We first contacted them on the 22nd. Our NOA2 was on the 10th, so 12 days. We got our case number today (18 days). Look at our signature!

Does anyone have any insight on the process after the case is sent to the Embassy by the NVC?

Does the Embassy send you the Package 2 information via mail or email?

Can you call or email to get the information beforehand?

Just for clarity.

How long should I wait before contacting the NVC for the case number?

2 weeks after receiving the NOA2 HardCopy or 2 weeks after the approval date of NOA2?

Well, we received the NOA HardCopy Today - July 28th, 2015.

NOA 1 Receipt Date - July 2nd, 2015

NOA2 Approval Notice Date - July 23rd, 2015.

This is really a pleasant unplanned surprise! We made plans for this to be at least until August wait for the NOA2 Approval Notice.

We also didn't file a G-1114 Form.
We got the NOA1 hardcopy today - July 10th, 2015.

Receipt Date - June 30th, 2015
Notice Date - July 2nd, 2015
NOA1 HardCopy - July 10th, 2015
NOA2 Approval Date - July 23rd, 2015

This is so weird - 21 days (15 working days) ... I'll confirm when I get the hardcopy notice.

Can I ask how you finally got the package from the Barbados embassy?

I set up the account.

Everytime I try with my password. It is saying that the account is locked.

I reset the password and it is the same thing.

Some people report they had a working receipt number that stopped working as the case progressed.

click check your case status

click signup

click accept

Once you setup a login and password

Enter the receipt number, Click Add a case

Check the box next to the receipt number, click the button, E-Mail Alerts On, Mobile Alerts on.

You should now see a Y in the column to indicate it has been enabled.

I wouldn`t stress yet, give it another week, if you haven`t received it by then they might just return it before accepting it because of the check, if they do accept it you`ll get an update very soon They received our package on the 11th (sent on the 9th of June). They sent out a hardcopy on the 15th (our NOA1 date) and we got it on the 16th or 17th so we got it fairly early but it could take up to a few weeks indeed.

When did he submit the paperwork? It's usually est. 7-10 business days for you to receive the hardcopy. I sent my paperwork in may 25 and received the hard copy NOA1 on June 9th. So that can be an estimated timeframe to think about. Maybe have him give them a call if its been more than a couple weeks.

You don't have to include a G-1145 form because that is more for being updated by email or text which he can do once he makes an account on the uscis website. Also same with the cover letter it isn't exactly required but of course it isn't a bad idea to include one. I know some people don't send it is registered mail and does not cause any problems. It does not need to be sent registered mail because they will still receive it just fine most people do send it that way so they know when it is received and the paperwork is safe. Those items you mentioned should not cause you to receive a RFE. The only thing is the cashiers check which maybe someone else will be able to answer. Good Luck!

Sooo my fiancee used a cashier's cheque, didn't sent the G-1145 form or a cover letter, and he didn't send it registered mail.

Can you all give me an estimated time between when you sent your petition and received your hardcopy NOA1?

At this point, I am expecting an RFE because I don't know what else he didn't do or include.

I assumed that since VSC isn't processing that they would transfer from TSC to the CSC.

It was just my assumption from the press release. I may be wrong.

I didn't realise that Vermont wasn't taking petitions for that long.

Hopefully, the transfer of some of the cases to the California Service Centre will ease the issue in a month or so.

So the Vermont Service Center is not accepting new I129F petititons? Since when?

How long has the wait been at the Texas Service Center?

Was told by someone going through the process now that the medical cost is US$ 205 if that helps happiness268. I am currently waiting for my case to be forwarded to the Barbados embassy and anyone who can offer any useful information on that process it would be greatly appreciated.
