  1. I had my interview on May 6 and they told me to give them the original intent to marry document by courier service. They kept my passport and gave me a form that has 221g checked and also says further consideration will be given to your visa application after obtaining the missing document. I have sent the missing document and they received it a week ago. My status says that it is under administrative processing. I don't know but I heard that people have to wait a long time in AP. Does anyone know what it really is in my case?

I am a Canadian citizen and my fiance is born and raised in Chicago. Please any feedback would be appreciated.

    Thanks

Keep following your case twice a month, please see my timeline

    Good luck !!!

  2. I remember your previous posts about the case. In the beginning you thought the problem was due to your transgender status or that you are in a same sex relationship. I think its important to make sure other people understand that the problem with this case seemingly wasn't about either circumstance.

The sole problem was due to the embassy wanting some documents about your breast surgery if I now understand what you have said. Maybe this will serve as notice to others to make sure they have a doctor submit these docs.

    P'Ning

the doctor asked me that I did breast surgery right?

Yes,I said but in fact, there is woman told him about my case,he said "Surgery is personal thing so I think no need to writ down on medical examination"

Hahahaha,He mess my document up !!!!

  3. After I was struck down 221g because my doctor did not certified that I did breast surgery ...

I've waiting for almost 59 days,Just recently visa got approved...please see my timeline

    21 May 2014- Visa Issued

In my opinion,As I noticed my case online and people who got under 221g in Thailand( we have THAI USvisa group ),Yes,I will say in Thailand only before we will got visa approved,At first,Status will show "Administrative Processing " ,after the Consular person bring your case to consider again and you get approved, it will show you "Ready",after that ,I mean next day,it will show you "Administrative Processing again",then finally,it will show you "Issued"

    Please see as below

    20 May 2014 - Ready [ 08:00-17:00 ]
    21 May 2014 - AP [ 08:00-10:20 ]

This is what I noticed my visa check online,I don't know what process is gonna be in other country..

    Good luck for all !!!

  4. MASSIVE Congrats my friend!!! This is wonderful news for you and your fiancee!!! All the very best for your new life in the USA!!!!

I am curious, did you find any discrimination along the way? I am in a same sex relationship and have often thought about the trans folks and how their process is.

No,They treat me the same as straight people .......

I have friend who are LGBT people, they got visa and already in the USA now !!!!

Good luck and god bless for you !!!

    Equality for all !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  5. I was struck down in 221g for almost 2 months

My interview date on 24 March 2014,please keep following your case, email them twice a month

Yesterday,my case shown me "Ready" which mean my visa is gonna issue as soon as possible as I noticed it happened in Thailand but for other country

    I don't know,it really hard to tell.....

God luck,God will solve this problem.

  6. We are talking about this because you brought it up. You are also now adding info which changes the context somewhat.

You think they care if you had breast augmentation? Why would that matter? What would you do about it at this point anyway?

All they care about is having the correct documents in your file. The surgery is part of the medical docs. If your doctor didn't include that in the medical its probably because the doc didn't think it was important at the time. You can see by what both sides did they aren't used to dealing with this issue.

You are in A P because the embassy does see transgender people much and needed time to make sure they are proceeding correctly. Keep in mind there are transgender people right here in the USA.

I hope you get the visa soon as well but we must try to understand the unusual aspect of the case.

Thank you so much as you said and as I've been notice many cases that stuck under 221g section, take about 7 days till 6 months in Thailand.I'm clearly understand my situation that unusual because just new for all embassy. In the other hand,it's good that they try to correct my document because it means I would have no problem to spend my life in Seattle.I guess hahaha

I hope and I wish to get visa as soon as possible.

PS. "All they care about is having the correct documents in your file." Very perfect conversation and make me getting stronger !!!

  7. I doubt your problem is about breast reconstruction. The embassy wouldn't care if people have these operations. The A P could be about many thing including your background. I am sure you understand your situation is far different that the average case they see.

A P is very difficult to endure because there is no way to figure out exactly what they are looking into. I have seen A P cases in Thailand take 2 weeks to 6 months. Hopefully yours will not take too much longer.

People in the USA don't need visas so please don't get yourself confused about what is relevant to your case.

Everything was perfect, your case just fine but you need to go back to your doctor, make him certified that you have breast surgery, she said

Do they care ? I think so

My doctor has to called to the Embassy to asked how to certified correct way ....

But however this is no reason to talked about this because interview is gone.

I wish I will get visa soon.

PS.The doctor certified that I did breast surgery in 2012 but the Embassy unhappy because doctor can't correct paperwork that they exactly want !!

  8. So what exactly happened?

I'm Thai transgender with breast operation.

The consular woman said " The doctor can't correct my medical paperwork though I have told him that I did ####### jobs 2 years ago...

After I sent out paperwork to the Embassy, still in AP and you know I can feel she mess up because I only focus on my breast exactly !!!

Many people in the US,they did surgery.I never know what' I did,it's affect my interview and I've been waiting visa for 1 month !!!

  9. My doctor can't correct my medical examination about my breast surgery,After the Consular told me to bring medical paperwork to the doctor and he has to called for asked How to correct it because I'm in special case(Transgender but didn't had sex change),after it's done,I sent my medical paperwork that doctor certified again with my passport !!!

However,I believe that after they put people under 221g section,They supposed to remind you that Submit paperwork that we need with your passport, she said

( this is the way that happened in Thailand )

    Good luck !!!

  10. Get the Consulate everything they ask for a soon as you can. Remain calm, this is not the time to panic or get an attitude about the Consulate. They really don;t care if you miss your man or not. They just need you to follow the rules and get them the info they need to process your Visa.

Processing time is unknown. All you can do is wait. Never make travel or marriage plans until the Visa in hand.

    Thank you so much.

I was sent it today 3 hours after my interview.

We just think about plan but not exactly real plan.

I hope it's not take too long !!!

    Time to be strong !!!

    Better late than never !!!

  11. Hopefully it won't take too long, but honestly there is no timeframe. It's referred to as the "Black hole of waiting" and boy is that the truth! We received a 221-g to verify my fiance's divorce decree (we submitted it, but they needed to verify it was legitimate document) Our interview was back on Jan-15.... 68 days and we're still waiting for a final word. Hopefully you'll have much better luck and the wait won't be very long at all. Sending you the best of luck for fast processing! :)

    Thank you so much.

I wish everything is going well for both of us !!

  12. Hi,guys

I would like to know base of time about when you getting under 221g section?

I got interview today in Thailand, everything was great and fine, she said, but they asked me to re-submit about my surgery report.I'm Transgender, only made breast surgery but didn't have sex change at all.

I went to the doctor and my doctor has to called to the Embassy and the Consular told him to wrote down that I did my surgery.

I was very Clearly told doctor about my surgery when I did medical examination but I can't even tell whose faults between Doctor or American Consular or whatever.

Sometimes they mess thing up!! God, 6 months that we submitted paperwork but the decisions are took only 5 minutes,You know what!? They didn't looked at my evidence of relationship at all because they know who I am,so they only FOCUS on me about surgery !!!! that's it....

I was sent mail to them today.

Too bad that I have to change plan to have wedding ceremony.

Gosh,I wish they will know that I'm missing my man so badly !!!

  13. Oh,It's very interesting that Japan doesn't have P4,Are you kidding me?!!!

P4 which is an Appointment date of Interview that the US embassy will send it to the applicants by Email only !!

Actually,After NVC assigned your case number, they should to sent the Letter to the petitioner in the US,but my bf didn't received it.(There is no problem because many couples didn't get it too but their visa approved )

If you received, you can use that anyway...

  14. I got Packet 3, and I've booked an appointment at the clinic. The clinic asked for some kind of proof with the NVC case number on it - after going through the documents I have, I don't actually have one. I'm wondering what I should take as proof

Normally,we will not book an appointment until we get P4 (Date of interview) in Thailand

Many women here went to checked medical Examination after we received P4 from the Embassy, then when we go to check,we just show P4 with Case number to the doctor and we bring the result when we have to get interview, there is no problem about this..

    Good luck !!!

  15. Did you have your medical in Japan? Mind if I ask where you went?

I'm so sorry sir,I think you can speak Japanese

I'm from Thailand and working for Japanese company as Japanese Interpreter.

Anyway,I did my medical in Thailand because I live here and I'm Thai.

Ohh,Please read the instruction of P3 that where is the hospital in Japan that the US embassy will expect...

    Good luck !!!
